Was Antonio Salazar able to create the perfect conservative society based on Catholic faith without the heretical influences of Mussolini's fascism and Hitler's National Socialism? What are some other states that had similar ideology to the Estado Novo regime in Portugal?

Because he actually started from his faith and constructed his political theories to fit it, as opposed to doing it the other way around as most political "Christians" do.

This.

Don't have the link, but a lot of old-school conservatives and monarchists hated the fascists, and considered them modernists.

You really saw this toward the end of WW2 in Europe with the conflicts between Horthy and the Arrow Cross, King Michael's coup against the semi-fascist Antonescu regime that had worked w/ the Iron Guard, and the very conservative makeup of 20th of July Plotters trying to overthrow Hitler's insanity.

What was heretical about National socialism, given that worship of race is what the Jews do and not the Catholics.

White Catholics have different values than other Catholics, that's clear in the Pew Polls on how they vote. Why can't peoples who want different things live under their own governments? That's a very American idea and why the Founding Fathers created the US as a federal government, with states having the power to establish or ban this or that religion.

In reading the Wikipedia article on this fellow, he seems to be confused and it doesn't support your premise that it was a Catholic state.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Concordat_of_1940

Also, his claims to be against "Caesarism" then using his secret police to stop the opposition. I presume that in this case "opposition" means the degenerate communist

>What was heretical about National socialism, given that worship of race is what the Jews do and not the Catholics.

You had an entire encyclical, written in German, too, explaining why it's heretical crap, and what forms of patriotism aren't heretical crap.

Stop defending the effing nazis.

Even today, their mass-murdering autism is what brought this site down mere months ago.

Jews lied to get Jesus crucified;that is, they lied that Caesar was their only king and threatened to rat out Pilot if he didn't Crucify our Lord.

It's only natural to question the Jew's story i.e. that National Socialism, which consisted of kicking out the degenerate jews from power and publication, lead to evil.

As for the encyclical, true it may be but:

1. Most Germans didn't worship their race.

2. The Catholic Church even then had been infiltrated by communist; Liberation Theology was rampant in the German Catholic Church.

>Some mass murderer posted his manifesto here, ergo National socialist are bad.

Seriously? That's not a rational argument for why White Catholics and Hispanic Catholics should not live in separate states and each rule themselves since they both want vastly different things.

>ITT: severely small brained equivocation of all European nationalist movements as "Fascist", as if Franco's spain was identical to Mussolini's Italy, Hitler's Germany, or whatever the porkchops did

>Followed by the even more micro-brained equivocation of nationalism and basically any common sense conception of the nation or prudent government policy in general with nazism.

Every tiem. According to the average conservative's definition of "Fascism" (i.e. the view that the nation is a real tangible thing made of real people with a real physical identity, with substantial shared origin and interest, which isn't an abstract idea defined by the arbitrary whims of the state), then the America of 1940 was "Fascist" too. Even Stalin undid some of the more insane policies of the Bolsheviks and got rid of a lot of the self-interested Jewish leadership of the communists, so clearly a fascist as well. WW2 was basically fascist on fascist violence, what were they even fighting for?

>When he has no argument, the stormweenie pulls the jew card

All 3 branches of Christendom got in trouble for opposing nazi policies.

If as a christian, you think they are onto some massive smear campaign, with encyclicals, canonizations, stories and stuff presented in official church documents, then why are you even a christian?

It means you think christendom got coopted into some massive smear and cover-up campaign by the powers that be, and if you think that is, why stop there?

>Some mass murderer posted his manifesto here, ergo National socialist are bad.

No, the problem is the environment on one single far-right community, on a chan board, to boot, repeatedly produced mass-murderers(3, to be precise, until the site got nuked).

Also, looking at the political terror attacks commited in the recent decades, they are either far-right/far-left/islamic, because they will always slip towards justifying mass murder to fight the jews/bourgeouise/infidels that opress them, without a moderating influence and a proper rule of law.

And your attempts at making nazism it with some benign "ethnic self-determination" is bullshit, and you know it.

Groups with different political interests wanting their own country has been a hallmark of the past couple centuries, from the break-up of the great empires of the past, to the Revolutions of 1848, to the break-up of the USSR.

Somehow, those didn't trigger a church-wide condemnation from the Vatican, right next to condemning communism.

Speaking of, trying to justify repressing the german church by handwaving it with the age old excuse of fighting communist subversion is a fat lie, for the simple reason of Liberation Theology appearing in the late 50's in Latin America, not early 20th century Germany.

Commies are evil, but i don't think they can travel back in time to another continent.

Gabriel García Moreno (president of Ecuador between 1861-65 and 1869-75) is the man you're looking for. He's probably the only modern Head of State any close to canonization, though his process seems to have been halted. He wasn't what you'd call a "nationalist", though, but bear in mind that Latin American "nationalists" tend to be either freemasons or cryptocommunists (or full blown commies) .

It's not(though i have plenty of things to critique about it, from an administrative POV).

This encyclical(https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mit_brennender_Sorge) condemned some parts of nazism that went too far in their autisms about race/nation/etc., and the expediency with which they abolished the rights of people from groups they considered bad, one way or another.

Right, I'm sure all the students who got imprisoned and/or murdered by the PIDE appreciated Salazar's piety. All the people whose lives were destroyed because of a snitch or because they didn't like having armed thugs bearing down on them. All the souls kept in ignorance. Besides, in case you oh-so-pious souls forgot, Salazar got along so well with Hitler he even got an armored car as a gift.

In general, you find the church in lockstep and holding arms with half the bloodthirsty dictators between South America and Eastern Europe.

*sigh*

We can't go back to feudalism, because feudalism relies on wealth being extracted from land-ownership, via taxes applied on the peasants and artisans that work on it.

But in the past centuries, due to advances in agriculture and the rise of more sophisticated, globally-interconnected economic sectors, land ownership is no longer profitable(which can be seen in the 18-19th century impoverishment of the land-owning aristocratic classes everywhere, from England to Japan. Even Gogol's "Deal Souls" goes on how all the russian landowners were now mortgaging their lands for cash to build factories for making finished products, instead of waiting on getting their cut on the crops).

Nowadays all the wealth is done in sophisticated tertiary sectors, while the agricultural land-owners are huge ass industrial farmers that rely on subsidies to stay profitable.

There's absolutely no chance that factory farming isn't massively profitable. That they're still awash in subsidies is due to the fact that their wealth is such that it brings huge influence over legislation.

That farms depend on muh subsidies to operate is propaganda on par with silicon valley "needing" muh H1B coder caste, they're both just instances of already huge businesses trying to advance policies that further pad their profits at public expense.

Whether this makes classical feudalism tenable ever again I highly doubt, but just the idea of farms being unprofitable *in general* is absurd, what, are people going to start eating rocks?

But likewise, I don't get the incredulity at feudalism coming back in some form. The trajectory we're has been for wealthy owners of land and infrastructure to continue to further consolidate wealth, with lower classes becoming their de facto (serf-like) clients as they are permanently locked out of ever gaining possession of land, the means of production, and other basic infrastructure. We're literally transitioning into a neo-feudal system right now (and it winnie the pooh sucks).

But you never know, Corona-chan might spur a realignment that's been a long time coming.
