Protestants:
>Catholics believe in works salvation, to that don't really love god, they just want to accrue brownie points so the can get into heaven!
Also protestants:
>wow Catholics believe that If someone dies right after they go to confession they go straight to heaven no questions asked, that's so stupid!
Really activates my almonds

The Catholic Church does not proclaim what happens to a person when the soul leaves the body, unless they're able to go to Heaven. There are extraordinary methods of salvation (ie, the person is able to make a perfect Act of Contrition, or is given some sort of grace before dying).

A Catholic in a state of mortal sin who is on his way to confession does not go to hell. He clearly had the intention to confess, but was unable to make it.

No, he is correct. Perfect contrition, sorrow for sin because it offends God who is perfectly good (joined with a desire to repair your sin and go to Confession as soon as possible, but as it seems Protestants and so on can also receive perfect contrition, this probably doesn't need to be explicit), is necessary.
Of course, such sorrow for sin can be joined with other motives, e.g. sorrow for sin because it sends you to Hell, but it must be present if you are to receive salvation without Confession.

No they can't (unless they have perfect contrition for their heresy). Unless a Protestant joins the Catholic Church they infallibly go to hell. This is Ex Cathedra per the council of Florence.

An individual who is in a state of mortal sin who is truly repentant of the sins they have committed and intends to go to confession the next opportunity they can to confess said sins. Will not get a one way ticket to hell for the state of mortal sin when he gets hit by a bus on the way to confession.

Is there such a thing as "Confessio flaminis" ? I don't see this being discussed as often as non baptized people in danger of death when it's a big deal all the same.
Also is there a canonical way to confess sin outside of the church?

He won't be damned if he repented out of love of God (love of God due to his perfect goodness certainly suffices, there doesn't seem to be a consensus on whether love of gratituden suffices) and hatred of having offended Him (which may be joined with other motives, e.g. fear of Hell, but it must be present).
It's ultimately a simple concept, but have a slightly more detailed explanation to avoid confusion from the very good and detailed source that is Catholic Encyclopedia:

The fact you committed a mortal sin, knowing it was a sin actively while doing it, and rejected Christ as such, is the reason you don't go to Heaven.

If you're out of confession and do the penance, yes, die then and you go straight to heaven.
If you're just out of confession and didn't do the penance, purgatory.
If you don't do confession, you go to hell for all the actual mortal sins you've done since baptism removed your original sin.
It's much harder to be a Catholic than a protestant. We don't believe that "Jesus Jesus" is the password, we have to actually love our Lord and shun sin.

>think they can sin all day as long as they confess to a man (who cannot forgive sins)
<And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost: If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven them; if you retain the sins of any, they are retained.”
>think men can forgive sins instead of only God
<But some of the scribes were sitting there and thinking in their hearts, “Why does this man speak like this? He is blaspheming! Who can forgive sins but God alone?”
You sound just like a Pharisees.
>praise a man who wears a Dagon fish-hat
<[James, on people who judge according to clothing:] Are ye not then partial in yourselves, and are become judges of evil thoughts?
<Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.
>still remain in a church that has historically been the leading persecutor of real Christians who worship God and not the pope
"Real Christians"
>over 85% of their practices are pagan in origin
>claim paganism is sanctified by adoption
<And do not think you can say to yourselves, 'We have Abraham as our father.' I tell you that out of these stones God can raise up children for Abraham.
<One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind.
<For if I by grace be a partaker, why am I evil spoken of for that for which I give thanks? Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.
<I know, and am persuaded by the Lord Jesus, that there is nothing unclean of itself: but to him that esteemeth any thing to be unclean, to him it is unclean.
<Let not then your good be evil spoken of: For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost. For he that in these things serveth Christ is acceptable to God, and approved of men.
For anyone who has actually read the Bible, this is a no-brainer. You're like the Pharisees who would deny the Gentiles as pagans, though the Gentiles are more faithful than yourself. Every moral practice is acceptable, no matter the ritual, tradition, or rite, so long as it is done for the glory of God. Ask yourself what would be better: a bunch of pagans still practicing pagan customs oriented towards strange gods and demons? Or a bunch of Christian converts practicing similar-to-pagan customs because it is more familiar, but oriented towards Christ?
>praise a man who is okay with abortion/infanticide (he even gave an award to an abortion activist)
>praise a man who is okay with globohomo
>praise a man who claims Jesus Christ isn't needed for salvation
>still remain in a church full of child-rapists and homosexual priests (98% of vatican priests are homos) and which protects them and hides their scandals
Most Catholics aren't happy about the Pope or corruption in the clergy. Just remember that we were warned wolves would be in the flock. Just because there are wolves, doesn't mean the flock is wrong. And Jesus hand-selected a team of cowards, deniers, doubters, betrayers, and murderers as His apostles. A corrupt clergy has been around since year 1.

>If you're out of confession and do the penance, yes, die then and you go straight to heaven.
Depends on what you mean by "penance." Your sin is forgiven but you still caused disruption to God's Plan and so justice demands making up for the sin. Moreover, if you have imperfections in your soul you still have to pass through purgatory (albeit at a higher level) to rid yourself of them before you can enter into the Beatific Vision.

> And Jesus hand-selected a team of cowards, deniers, doubters, betrayers, and murderers as His apostles.
They were none of these after Pentecost. Jesus only lost one disciple. The modern clergy you're equating these great men and women to have known what the Lord demands far longer - they just don't care. Peter and the Apostles were babes, in comparison. They had followed Jesus for only a couple of years, and were completely transformed.
