Yo personalmente usé los dos últimos, pero conviene leer que hace cada cosa y habilitar solo lo que te parece. Si sos muy manco para estas cosas usá el primero ya que es el más pavo.
Habiendo dicho eso, recomiendo igualmente Win7 nomás a menos que si o si necesites Win10 por tener un procesador moderno, o porque querés DirectX12 (que tampoco es que te habilita muchas cosas, sirve si querés jugar al Forza por ejemplo).

Son particiones. No necesitas "arreglar" eso. Con una herramienta de particionamiento, como la misma que te viene en el instalador de Windows, podes borrarlas e instalar Windows arriba de eso. Pero bueno suerte.

Podes usar el Word de Microsoft en GNU/Linux con Wine. Los juegos cada vez están funcionando más con Proton/VKD3D. Lo de la impresora me resulta raro, no te la toma ni con los drivers? Que modelo es?

Básicamente, no es que "te es imposible hacer" ciertas cosas en Ubuntu, sos cagón nomás. Le he enseñado y mostrado GNU/Linux a gente mucho más vieja y con menos luces que vos, solamente le ponían pila.
Reitero, cuando te instales Windows, no te gastes en comprarlo. Podés usarlo tranca sin activar. Capaz algún amigo tuyo se cope y te lo active más adelante. Si es que en algún momento pasa eso, recomiendo este activador.

win7 tiene menos bloat y es mas rápido que win10, pero windows 7 esta descontinuado, no tiene actualizaciones de seguridad, y a medida que pasen los años cada vez van a dejar de funcionar mas drivers y software.
En fin no queda otra que instalar windows 10, a no ser que solo uses la compu para hacer cosas básicas como navegar por internet y office

Choris, me quiero comprar una pc tipo mini-ATX, con un procesador integrado al mother. Sería más que nada para media center, pero también me gustaría poder jugar jueguitos mas o menos bien. Lo de más liviano y menos bloat es discutible. Tuneando fuertemente a Win10 podés dejarlo super liviano, con pocos procesos corriendo y muy bajo consumo de RAM. menos que Win7. Hay isos prepaquetadas con Win10 AME que corren de forma muy liviana. Yo particularmente tunéandolo a mano logré un uso de 80 procesos al bootear (cabe aclarar que una configuración liviana de Win7 está por tener 40 procesos corriendo, no necesariamente por ser más liviano sino porque los procesos están menos distribuidos).
Lo que sí se puede decir es que lleva mucho menos tiempo configurar Win7 para desblotear y dejarlo liviano que Win10. En ese sentido Win10 es un terrible parto. Pero es posible y bastante asequible.
