Not exactly the most unique breed, but certainly a pretty cool one.

I really enjoy large, heavily-furred cats like these and some domestic shorthairs with very broad features, especially in the face. I haven't met a Norwegian forest cat before, but I really like their look.

The adult looks like my Maine coon who just passed a few years ago. These cats are so nice.

Norwegian Forest Cats are actually pretty small, supposedly the ancestor of the Maine Coon. They can also be kind of nigger like in their behaviour. They are known to play fetch and be rather loyal with their owners Never had one myself but got a friend who had one. They are great wee things.

How different are they from maine coons? I grew up with a gigantic maine coon as a child who was very intelligent, could be trained to sit/stay/come/etc.

Not really especially under that fur, but then I am comparing them to cats like the Maine Coon which can become huge.
