The World had long since change after the appearance on the first island, the wealth and mysteries it held fueled a revolution in Europe that slowly spread to the World, what civilized lands still separate from the World Power were split into thousands of small land holdings. The Major Examples of this were the warring states of India and the Crusader states. The Crusader states was the work of Spain and Rome coming together a funding a massacre of biblical proportions that lead to the end to the Spreading Muslim Empires, growing fat on trade they pour resources into their demise and came out relatively ahead. These blood soaked lands were now filled with refugees, soldiers and massive amounts of consumer goods flowing between Europe and the Xiang Dynasty. Partitioned up and ruled by tens of thousands of petty lords, all under the name of God they aided in the growing trade routes between Europe and China. That is until the discovery of the New Continents, with this in mind the lords were scrambling the grab ahold of these new lands, a civil war had begun…

You are a citizens of these broken realms every nationality is represented along these routes, you watch as the Crusaders children look down upon those their fathers oppressed. What you do with your life is up to fate, what you do with the lives of others, well that is up to you.

>Fluff: The name that the christians have given to me is Saladin and I suppose that is now my name. Long ago, my great-grandfather shared my name and fought against the christian oppressors with all of his might but ultimately failed in his duties. I will not make the same mistakes that he once did. Descended along the matriarchal line from his only child, I am the light that will cleanse my family's name and bring the rightful worship of Allah back to this land. Even now, the christian lords sit in their little castles with fat bellies and happy christian families but there is more. They are afraid. They fear my warband of rebels who ride in the night with spear and shamshir. They are afraid of me who will cleanse them from this land with one decapitation at a time. They are afraid of their serfs who hide my men and feed us despite their best efforts. They are afraid of dying. Unfortunately for them, I will not stop until everyone of their kind is dead. I will not stop until every christian dog is thrown from the holy-land and I am proven the rightful king of Egypt… Some say that the wrath of Allah is like that of a storm. Perhaps, they are right. I shall be the instrument of Allah's wrath and they shall feel my fury. Allah wills it. Allahu Akbar!

>Name: Émile "Montagne-Sang" Thiers

>Sex: Male

>Nationality/Religion/Race: French Catholic

>Ruler: In Jerusalem, under Governor Hermosa Pelaez.

>Fluff: Émile was born in the French countryside, under the iron fist of Spain for many years. Despite the country's manpower and harshness, French nationalism has always been a scourge that refused to die, much like the fire of their hated English cousins. Émile was always thought of as something special in his village, born sickly and frail, and, when all the village thought he was dead and gone, beating his illness to come back from the brink of death, now with almost unnatural healthiness. Naturally, he was almost revered as chosen of Christ, particularly when the peasant boy grew older. He was possessed of a downright unnatural strength and hardiness, and as the boy grew, he was said to be the blood of giants, or infused with the very soul of a mountain itself. At the age of sixteen, Thiers stands at nearly seven feet, and the rumors say his skin is hard as stone, his hands alone capable of uprooting a thousand-year-old-tree. By his impressive stature and strong words alone, the boy has acquired substantial following the city of God, claiming to be chosen by Jesus himself to clean the lands and free the French people from Spanish rule, once and for all. Instead of starting in his home, he intends instead to garner a grand kingdom in the Crusader States, and march home victoriously to re-take France. Though if the legends are true - he could do it alone.

>Name: Iswada "De Butcha"

>Sex: Male

>Nationality/religion/Race: Nubian/Musim/Half-Orc

>Ruler: "Warlord Ohasessi, De Berber," Pirate Lord of the Red Sea. Local ruler is one of his Lieutenants Jihwahe "Basha"

>Fluff: Wherever there is civilization, wherever there is trade, there are brigands, pirates, and sellswords.

Iswada is a half-orc from a village in the Nubian peninsula, orcs being some of the few non-human species to have a significant populace in some parts of the world, mostly in [African Islands Name], it is common for them to mingle blood with local humans or take wives of them through diplomacy in strength or strength of force, especially if female orcs are rare. The peoples there value strong warriors, and so do not look down upon half-orcs seeing them as natural warriors for their size. Defending and feeding their villages, in the vast terrain hostile to agriculture warriors are the backbone of the tribals here.

The tribes are deep enough in the Nile to be out of the reach of northern Imperial civilizations, though not traders nor missionaries. Such it was that ages ago these lands were given the words of the Prophet and taught how to trade with muslims, adopting the religion and customs.

With contact with the outside world came the prospect of wealth and prestige attracts many in the warrior/hunter realms. Piracy and mercenary work was fitting for those strapping young men or adults seeking to experience the world beyond the steppes, earning wealth and enjoying the luxuries or fighting on behalf of Islam against infidels.

Such it was that over the ages, like the Berbers pirate lords to the west, here too in the Nubian peninsula piracy would take root and flourish, to such an extent that in all the Crusader states expansion to the furthest east they dare not tread too far into the Nile, having lost too many men in too many ambushes and skirmishes with the hardened warriors and hunters who know the land and how to fight in it. Thus does this part of the world plague even the Spanish merchants who are well to avoid the Red Sea entirely without a serious escort. Even so, the trade route through the Red Sea and over the Suez onto the ports to the Medditerean is still quicker than sailing through the African sea and around the north island to Spain, and so the pirates here would never want for ships.

Iswada "De Butcha" is a Half-Orc from a village with a name that is probably only relevant to him, a mercenary, pirate, and Muslim, he fights in the name of the Prophet and to fill his pockets with gold, his belly with food, and the beds of women wherever he treads. And he has heard how the Infidel Kingdoms are ripe for the taking.

You had grown up along the Border of East Francia and the Spanish Occupied Avignon. The harsh constrains put on life under there rule had led many to rebel, only to be crushed under the immense weight of the noble republic. Seeking a purpose you had traveled throughout Europe to reach Jerusalem, a city that had prospered in these troubling times. The Ruler of this city was Hermosa Pelaez, a elderly man who's grandfather was the general in the conquest of Brittany. He had taken a french princess to bride and so had his father taken a Frenchwoman. Hermosa had a different taste in the flesh and had never birthed an heir. With these thought in mind, what better a place to begin your quest for french independence.

With more and more access to africa with each passing year the new species of man, like the orc, were indeed becoming more and more common. The Muslims of Nubia, seeking help turned to the Orcs the occasionally showed up on their borders. Soon the Population was more orc than it was Nubian, and the age old problem of women started anew. Looking for a new source the Orcs turned to Piracy along the newly formed trade routes.

With no war to fight this time, instead you would prove a point, one that would show your father than independence from the Republic was possible.

Due to Mostly my lack of free time (the reason i'm posting this at 4:30 am) we will be moving this game to 8chan.

With this information I will be updating daily/ as often as you guys are able to update but the day long gaming sessions will most likely not happen any more, at least for some time. Unless the archive for the first thread can be found I'll go ahead and make a new thread and post all character sheets in it tomorrow evening, and the game will finally begin in full force.

You have a hard time conversing with the chinese man that you saw demonstrating earlier but you come to realize that this is the famous blasting powder. A story told by the Muslim refugees talked about how the spanish had used the blasphemous creation to burn Mecca to the ground. If cities could be burned using this powder than it had a great many military uses, attempting to acquire some you tried to make a deal with the man. It took a few minutes of convincing until he came out with a small wine cask filled to the brim with the powder “This all I have for sale, more come in if wait. Veeeeery expensive, but i give you good deal” he grins as you complete the transaction.

Many of the “Nobles” here are merchants or landowners here in the Crusader states with little influence back in Europe. However there are a few of those merchants with noble relatives and even fewer nobles from the Papacy and Byzantium, who can be easily distinguished by the hateful stares they shoot each other. You hit it off later in the night with an arab merchant who transport the new continent goods across the hostile deserts between here and the southern ports. His father converted at the mercy of the French Ruler of Messina who he says might be very interested in your cause. Once the Socialization is complete you head up to the “throne” in which the wrinkled old soldier sits, skin and bones the man looks like a large wrinkled baby swaddled in cloth of gold, his advances would not have gotten far even if you had been inclined to the same sex as he can barely move his own hands without exhausting himself. You speak with him and learn about his life as the party begins to die down. He was the son of a Spanish Noble from North Africa, who was banished to the crusades after being found in bed with a young knight. The two had fought together to create a place where they could be happy together, he died after nearly 2 years of combat… He had played with the captives and some of the more accepting soldiers while doing his duties but he had never again found love. “My informants tell me you are very similar to what i described him as, I have to admit that I embellished the story much and that you are in no way similar to my Ferdinand” he smiles and thanks you for coming before going back to staring at the arabic boy at his feet.

The Jewelry box held little other than the sentimental value of it. After long weeks of training one day you laid exhausted on the deck sword at your side, your new “friends” had begun training with you during the dead periods of the sailing exhausting you further than they already had, the two men walking walk down to the cabins to get a late lunch. As you laid there you thought about your life in india about the good and the bad, but those times were gone and now was a time to look to the future. You picked yourself up and headed to your cabin putting away the swords and grabbing the old ivory box, you walk to the prow of the ship you say a quick prayer before tossing into the sea goddess’s domain.

>Ruler: His father, Raja Char, ruler of the kingdom of Hoysala along the western coast.

>Fluff: Prince Usha is the third prince and youngest son to his father. Even if he never believed he would become Raja he still learned to lead and become wise. He learned strategy and strength of arms from the same tutors his brothers learned from and learned all he could of the world from books and his tutors. As he learned of the world and the recent history of the neighboring lands he began to fear. The empire of Xing and it's massive wealth and desire for land; one day it would set it's sight upon the divided lands of India and see a land ripe for conquest. As well the Crusader states from the west will only see a people that do not worship their god, and will put his people to the sword just as they did to the Muslim. Usha came to the decision that India must unite, but this stalemate of war will never be breached by his father or brothers methods of conquest. So he set his sights upon the southern continent across the trade sea. He shall take land there and send back resources to his homeland. With these resources his father and brothers shall have an edge in their war. Now finally of age he sets out, to bring power to India to rival that of the empires to the east and west.

>Name: Count Eadbhárd Mag Uiginn of Worcester

>Sex: Male

>Nationality/religion/Race: Irish/Catholic/Human

>Ruler: Petty King Dara Mag Uiginn XIX of Ulster, ruling from Omagh, though Eadbhárd is currently in Byzantium

>Fluff:

Count Eadbhárd of Worcester is the son of Dara Mag Uiginn, the nineteenth of his name, and is thus descended from the legendary Dara the Mariner, who washed up on the first Island to rise from the deeps centuries ago. The Mag Uiginn line are admirals and explorers beyond compare, and are among the most respected in the Spanish Noble Republic of Greater Ireland. Eadbhárd is an anomaly for the family, being more at home on land than at sea. In light of his service to the Papacy and all of Christendom during the last Crusade, he was awarded with the Earldom of Worcester, though he spends little time there, relegating the duties that go along with running the place to his regent. Just one week ago, he arrived in Byzantium (to which he has travelled before) after a long voyage down the Atlantic coast and through the Mediterranean Sea. His goal? To gain supporters for his plot to secede from the Noble Republic and to take over all of Britannia. His family did not agree with his decision, especially not his father, who thought that it would be a danger to his deep seated position. Here, in this hub of the world, he seeks those who oppose the Spanish for whatever reason.

Assets:

Irish Vessel and 50 man crew

1. Well shit. It's been a busy few days. I'be been found out as a subversive element in the Spanish government's side. Who knows how long I'll remain until they decide to pluck me out? I have no money and no contacts other than the woman whose bed I just woke up in and her husband. I need time to think these things out. I'll head outside for a breath of fresh air and see what the day brings me.

2. If and when I am targeted by Spanish assassins, I'll need to be able to defend myself. It would be prudent to find myself a sparring partner, someone I can fight with in safety to hone my skills for when real danger arises.

1: Were I a far more petty man, I might easily manipulate this old and wrinkled man for power. But I am not. After this party, the first thing I will do is establish a headquarters somewhere in Jerusalem, somewhere with a good amount of land, preferably defensible and near the heart of the city if possible. We will need a place to plan our operations, of course.

2. After that, I will continue to network. Not only in high-level contact, but using my allies to find soldiers as well, from the streets of Jerusalem and beyond. Many French live here, and surrounding the Holy Land, and if I might spread the word with both myself and my contacts, we will find ourselves growing fast, I think.

>Usha Amit

You begin resupplying the ship for the long voyage home putting a dent into your gold supply

-1/4 the bag of gold coins

As supplies are gathered you begin to study the odd ore, the other Prince had thought it to be some odd form of silver. It melted at very low temperatures and dissipated heat incredibly quick into its surroundings. The solidified metal was brittle to the touch, but with a limited knowledge on alloys mixing might make all the difference with this odd metal. You continue your studies on your journey back to India, and with no available metal’s to mix with it you try finding odd uses for what you know now. During a storm a man sustained a deep gouge under his ribs from a swinging rig, deciding to cauterize the nasty would seeing no other option your poured the liquid metal slowly over the wound, only to have it a fix itself to the skin.

-1 box of greenish grey ore (has pseudo healing properties, need further testing)

>Eadbhárd

You head out from the house as dawn breaks noticing a passed out Richard in the courtyard, stepping around him you look out from the small villa over a quaint countryside view before you look to your left and see the bustling city of Constantinople to the left. You begin walking down the hill and through the surrounding fields and you try and clear your mind, the Spanish knew of your intentions and you would likely get even less support from now… you hear the clash of swords off in the distance and look to see an army training in unison, you approach cautiously until you hear a thick Scottish accent call out “I can recognize a Islander anywhere, aren’t many off of out here in the East. Might I ask what has caught your interest?” A thick man in Steel Plate and a 2 foot long red beard looks at you with interest. His name is Arran his Father was a crusader who had not won lands like many, however he found opportunity elsewhere, As the crusades found end the Rise of the Osman Minority in Turkey had threatened the Byzantines power, the Returning Forces joined one of the sides and his father had joined the lucky side. “The Ottoman people are treated worse than most slaves, there sons ripped from their mothers, castrated and turned into killing machines, their mothers are some of the cheapest of prostitutes in the city” you look over to the men training in unison with horrible realization…

+You spend your free with Allan training for a few days (Combat 1 complete, +3 in personal combat rolls)

>Belian

You spend weeks traveling the Arabian Sea looking for trade ships making their way from the islands, Socotra Island had been acting as a pirate den for years now and acted as a center of operations for the vast majority of Pirates. You spend you time looking for information and preparing for the next long journey. After about three abouts you and your crew head out with information on a Dutch trading vessel that will be heading up the Red Sea soon, you tell the crew and soon the captain has decided to set sail. Once you are safely at sea you spend your free time training with your cutlass in preparation for days to come.

+5% trust of the crew

+Combat Training 1 (+3 in personal combat)

>Marius

You left your lands to your son and pursued war, it had always been what got your heart pumping but with the tentative state of peace looming over Europe, the war was here in these lands. The States of Europe fought for foreign resources than for back home and that is exactly what you wanted to do. The papacy had asked for you to come and reclaim the lands that the crusaders had won and return it to them, while you might not have any intention to do this, the Word of the Pope carried great weight in these lands.

+Orcish Band (10 heavily trained Orc warriors)

+Papal Missive

>Emile

You leave the palace that night determined to not return but after nearly three days you are no closer to finding dwelling than a few weeks ago. You do however get your french allies to begin spreading word of your cause throughout the land, the men trickle in every few days. Without lands to house them and food to feed them, you may soon lose their admiration.

1 Travel to the nearest crusader court. Once we reach a suitable court and hardy people we can start the goodly work of making an army

2 Increase loyalty.
