84acc5 No.47656
In the grim darkness of the far-far future there is only the shining light of the God-Emperor of mankind to pierce the dark unknown chaos of the warp.
You are the chaptermaster of a newly formed chapter of space marines sent to establish a foothold in a completely uncharted territory.
For the glory of the emperor you are to investigate the many planets littered throughout this portion of the galaxy and act on several missions that range from recovering foul xenos artifacts for the inquisition to eradicating xenos scum and heretics alike, in addition you are also under orders to bolster your chapters forces by recruiting from nearby worlds to help your chapter grow, but this reminds me.
Who exactly are you and what is your chapter?

Rules
There aren't really any, please stay lore friendly
Combat works on a d100 system following the roll chart outlined, it's based upon higher totals taking into account bonuses based upon squad members, An example would be your standard ork vs a space marine, the ork rolls 78 to dakka and the space marine rolls a 23. The ork would then roll a d20 for wounds inflicted, you get the idea.
Squad members give various bonuses to your chaptermaster for combat purposes
Standard space marines give a +8 to all rolls involving attacking
Chaplains lend you a +8 bonus to staving off attacks from psykers and other warp related fuckery
Librarians allow you to utilize the roll chart to perform warp fuckery simply state you'd like to use the squads Librarian in combat and what lore-friendly warpfuckery you'd like to use and roll away, however to balance this out anything listed as a fuck-up has horrible consequences as if you rolled a nat 1
For more balance purposes you may only use the squads Librarian once every 5 turns
Apothecary: Heal 10 wounds once every 5 turns
Techmarine these are the nerds of your squad they bestow upon you a +8 to tech-related actions in combat, they are also able to repair things working as a budget apothecary and restoring 5 wounds every 5 turns
Landraider On the downside it takes up all five slots for your squad, on the plus side it's a fucking Landraider and as such gives you a +20 to combat rolls.
Rollchart
1-5: You're fucked
6-10: You're kinda fucked
11-19: You fucked up, but not that bad
20-29: You did what you needed to do, but in the worst way possible
30-39: You did what you needed to do, but in a very mediocre way
40-59: Average, plain, boring, safe average
60-79: Damn Good, like eggs on steak
80-95: Damn son, cool down, you're on fire
96-99: Something, somewhere got shrek't, and you got a magical chainsword
100: "Hey, who left this set of Terminator Armor here?"

Chaptermaster Name: Asmar Steyn
Current wounds: 25/25
Backstory: Born 200 years ago Asmar was the Captain of the second company of the ill-fated Descending Swords chapter who were ripped into civil war by the corruption of chaos, Asmar and his company were spared as they were quelling a xenos incursion in another sub-sector but the rest of the chapter was not so fortunate. After discovering the hand of Tzeentch controlling the chapter the inquisition was swift to declare the chapter Traitorus Excommunicatus and spread a call to arms to purge the galaxy of their presence, Asmar and his company were given the chance to redeem their honour and be in the first wave against the Fortress Monastery. Had it not been for the valour and dedication the 2nd company had brought the survivors would've likely been relegated to joining deathwatch or being requisitioned for inquisitorial retinues but instead for his tactical prowess and personally slaying his former chaptermaster in a duel Asmar was awarded a place at the formation of a new Chapter with the goal of cleansing the taint of heresy from the region.

They are here to root out the corrupting influence of chaos in all it's forms and hopefully prove themselves worthy enough to recieve aid from the local adeptus mechanics to rebuild their armoury.

Chaptermaster Name: I'rin Zh'tash
Current wounds: 25/25
Backstory: Chosen to lead this branch chapter and the expedition in general, the trait which most defines I'rin Zh'tash is "The Emperor's Foresight". Some claim him a Psyker, though any Librarian will clearly tell you this is false. Instead, I'rin Zh'tash, even for a space marine, shows an aptitude for assessing, analyzing, and adapting to any situation given to him. Wisdom is not the state of having knowledge, but knowing how to act when one is lacking in knowledge.
Working with Planetary Defense Forces, the Imperial Inquisition, and his own Space Marines he aided in the cleansing of several worlds of insidious threats as Chaos and Genestealer Cults, suppressing Ork infestations, and other threats. Thus he was chosen to lead this new expedition into the unknown and unexplored Calixis sector.

Name of Chapter: Fiery Aegis
Chapter backstory: War is not just conquest, it's also occupation. The Salamander Chapter cannot always remain in one place to secure a territory after it has been conquered. Created somewhat Adhoc, the Fiery Aegis were explicitly tasked with the duty of maintaining and protecting the Imperial citizenry. Where other armies like the Imperial Guard would have seen this as either humiliating, boring, or a respite, the Fiery Aegis adopted their task with typical Salamander enthusiasm. Like their parent chapter, the Fiery Aegis show a care for the lives of the Emperor's citizens and faithful, more so than most chapters, tempered still with unwavering duty as both Space Marines and the Emperor's Space Marines. They would never place the lives of citizens above their mission, but neither would they ignore them if given the chance.
In the many centuries since their founding, having guarded the Imperial planets and worked alongside their PDF's, the Fiery Aegis have fostered a cooperative spirit among the Imperial Guard, particularly those in the sectors they were tasked with protecting. Still revered as the Emperor's Angels of Death, they are now also seen as his Guardian Angels as well. As in Nocturne, the Space Marines of the Fiery Aegis can still be found in the lives and cities of fellow Nocturne human colonies, when appropriate. Such close relations makes good for recruitment, as it gives them a chance to both show the unwavering faith in the Emperor and promote it among those under their charge.
With this close coordination with the IG, the Fiery Aegis come to the sector to try and establish yet another foothold and colony for the new chapter, sending a force of about 200.

During an operation on Argus VI in the Argus system of the Segmentum Solar, he disobeyed orders from Marneus Calgar himself to abandon a city held by his company and a company of salamanders. When the order was given, the Captain of the Salamanders company told him that if he left, the civilian populace would die to the encroaching ork horde. Forgot Temperus's backstory
Temperus Maximus is the Chapter Master of the Angry Marines, by virtue of being the angriest Marine in the chapter, if not in the entire Imperium of Man. He's got a pair of chainfists with assault cannons built in and Khorne is fucking scared of this guy. He is constantly entombed in Artificer Terminator armor, not in order to protect himself, but to protect enemies and allies alike from the sheer RAGE he outputs unchained. He is never seen without the Angry Primarch's heirloom; an adamantium cigar that none but the living embodiment of the Imperial middle finger can smoke.
It is believed by many imperial citizens that Temperus Maximus is the holy equivalent of a daemon prince since his anger is beyond even the Emperah's comprehension.
Records say that an entire World Eaters Warband ran like little pussies just by the sight of this angry beast and it is unknown how old he is but he's been around for quite a while though, His main goal is to teach the World Eaters just who is the angriest space marines around.

Chaptermaster Name: Darrius Eir-Cul
Current wounds: 25/25
Backstory: On the Ice world of Amonoid Tertiary, Darrius started his journey to become an Angel of Death. Scouring the caves of that icy world for the enemies of the Imperium alongside other potential initiates. Only the famous hate of an Iron Hands successor could keep a man warm in these unspeakable temperatures. The final test is to hunt down a creature that stalks the endless snow valleys between towering mountain chains. It is not known even by the Ordos if it originated as a indigenous species, men tainted by chaos who lose themselves in the snow, or a creature of the warp drawn by a yet unknown phenomenon. Only a metal spike is given as a weapon to kill it. After weeks of searching Darrius cornered the creature. He silently approached the beast, his hate powering him forward, lending him the strength of the Emperor. When it turned his back to start the journey home the steel spike flew at him at he instinctively put his left arm out. The steel spike embedded itself in the flesh and bone of his forearm, with only about a foot of its three foot length sticking out of his hand. His hatred bloomed. The foul xeno had played its trick and failed. Now it would die. Darrius slammed the blade and his mangled arm into the beast again and again. He spent the night warming himself in the gore of the beast, adorned himself in its fur and prepared for the journey back. He returned with proof of his kill and the steel spike embedded in his ruined arm. His journey down the path of the Steel Spikes began.
Darrius has risen far since that day. The original spike long gone, replaced with a superior metal. His mangled arm replaced with a high grade bionic forearm. Many parts have been replaced on his journey as befits an Iron Fists successor. Now he must carry the spirit of Ferrus Manus as the Steel Spikes Chapter Master.

Name of Chapter: Steel Spikes
Chapter backstory: When the Steel Confessors had been revealed by the inquisition as a secret Space Marine Chapter created by the Mechanicus they still had several facilities preparing men and materiale for the Chapter in secret. By the Mercy of the High Lords of Terra these Marines were allowed to reach maturity. They remained under-strength for some time but have proved themselves capable of staying battle worthy thanks to their fire discipline, close ties with the Mechanicus that provide excellent quality gear, bionics and vehicles, and their exceptional ability to replaced wounded flesh with high grade bionics as is the tradition of any Iron Hands Successor.

Chaptermaster Name:
Temperus Maximus
Current wounds: 25/25
Backstory:

—————————————————————
To the planet. . .Iniquity.
