Especially interesting for us? Of course, I think this article is based on conspiracy theories, but conspiracy theories are good sources of imagination.

Oh sure, those particular conspiracy theories are semi-bullshit but a lot of others are not; in fact I'm sure the powers that be would use such technology if it was at all possible. The only thing they get wrong is being too optimistic about the state of modern technology, but with fetishes you can wave that off with "in a secret government facility…" or "in 2050…"

While not GPS-enabled, even Snopes will aknowlege Hitachi's smart dust.
