As someone who has also successfully introduced their gf to abdl, Pull-Ups are extremely entry-level.
1) There's no obligation to feel like she has to 'use' them. They slip on and off and even if they tear Pull-Ups are cheap.
2) Pull-Ups are cheap. When introducing someone you gotta take it slow and take it cheap. Start with something cheap and 'safe' to start with so you don't waste money and she doesn't feel like she has to wear a bunch of stuff she ain't comfortable with just cause you spent the money. Do that and it strains the relationship.
3) I don't know how this guy is introducing his girl to it, but starting with DDLG is often a good introductory kink. Pull-Ups are just a better choice for DDLG.
4) ABDL diapers may not seem scary to someone in the kink, but if you tell your SO about it and they say "we can try it sometime" and you immediately pull out the most ABDL diaper there is, it's probably going to scare them off. Everyone knows Pull-Ups, a thousand percent less likely to scare.
