Hey /v/. I know the place is dead, and Jim killed it, but this is something I did last year so I want to share it with you (although I'll go to the /v/ I'm currently at to do so as well). Basically, I watched Netflix's Castlevania and I didn't want to be alone at my despair, so let me share it with you.
>Episode 1
It starts incredibly ok. It actually fixes a lot of the problems the last season had, it literally tries to retcon stuff like Alucard becoming edgy, and even though he is there, he is not literally yet incarnate, at least not yet. The thing is, this fucking show always starts promising, but it's always a letdown, but without Ellis writing I at least have a bit of hope, which I know is going to explode in my face
>Action scenes are ok
>Skeletons as one of the enemies
>Even a necromancer that looks like Shaft
>That and some other nice references
>The story seems to be building to resurrect Dracula, which is cool
<As soon as familiar enemies are shown, they turn back to generic demon garbage
<Literal who enemies that seem important
<Vampires are as weak as always
<Most references really mean nothing, as always
It could be worse, I did enjoy it.
