After looking around and seeing other peoples reaction and thinking it over, I think I'll put my final thoughts on this deal.
I've got to say, for so hard the x-bots kept saying they don't care about exclusives and the console war, they sure did a 180 on that once the Bethesda (actually Zenimax) deal happened and are rubbing the possible exclusive games they've got into the sony fanboy's faces. Also, why didn't Microsoft pull this move earlier like when they first entered the gaming industry with xbox? They've been the lameduck of the console generation for years but now they just realized they have a vault of PC fuck you money and decided to use it now? And they paid in full cash and not in stock deals mixed in. They should've done this much sooner than they are doing right now.
With exclusives, I don't think they'll do it if they want to follow through with this new strategy of theirs. Unless they want to be hypocrites like their fanboys right now but I think they'll stick to this new strategy for now. This next generation looks to be the timed exclusivity generation. It's not about expanding console sales for microsoft but expanding game sales with the game pass push. I honestly don't see microsoft making doom or elder scrolls exclusive for the long term at least. When you can dump 7.5 billion to buy a studio, I would think they'd want to recoup their investment quickly. Also, don't forget that Sony is also porting more to the PC as well which also benefits microsoft on their backend. What I'm seeing is more of a symbiosis of competition. Sony will hold their games for their consoles for maybe a year or 3 at most and it'll be ported to PC and Microsoft will have their console timed exclusive and PC release and in a year or 3, they'll port their games to the PS5 later. In the grand scheme of things, the ultimate winner is still the PC.
Also, the deal hasn't fully went through yet but I see no problems right now with that acquisition. Unless there is a possible anti-trust in buying such a big developer with so many top games in their portfolio, ignoring the recent track record of dud sequels, it should be done by 2nd fiscal quarter of next year. The only problem I don't see mentioned anywhere is that of reduction of employee redundancies. Do people think that all that 7.5 billion dollars will go to the employees at all or that all of the 2,300 people working under Zenimax will be there by the end of this deal? I can't remember particular developer studios who've lossed employees during an acquisition but I know of corporations in other industries with major investment deals that have to scale back and fire many people in the process so I don't see this being any different for Microsoft + Zenimax.
It will be interesting to see what Sony does since they've been following the tail of Microsoft in every move they make. If would be a deathblow if Microsoft does the exclusivity card (even if it is coming to PC anyway) but I don't think they have the guts to do that. They'd make more buy having just a timed exclusivity deal and then getting residual money from the scraps from game sales in other markets like Sony and Nintendo. It they want to play the long game, they have to actually play it.

Zenimax owns a lot of big IPs (TES, Fallout, Doom, Quake, Dishonored, Prey, etc). Skyrim is considered one of the best videogames ever made and sold more copies than No Man's Sky has planets. Star Wars is big but it's also old and overdone.

if Konami was willing to sell out its game division and its ip's that would actually be a pretty good deal to any of the big three. Konami actually got out of the gaming business because they weren't making enough money off of it, and they really don't need any extra money they're doing fine. They're in too good of a financial position to sell anything, however for the right price they might be willing to license out their properties. so for instance Microsoft could make an XBox exclusive Castlevania or Sony could make a PlayStation exclusive Metal Gear but they'll never own the IP because Konami is fairly wealthy in their own right and will never let those video game assets out of there control.
Now Capcom on the other hand, they've been in enough financial trouble over the last few years where Sony could probably make a deal with them for ownership or at least console exclusivity for the generation. Sony will probably pony up the cash for Street fighter 6, makes me wish Microsoft would pay for a new darkstalkers or rival schools.
