Depends on how you define computer. I started with a TI 99/4a, but by the time I really got into games we had both a Sega Master System and a 386DX 4mb Ram and a 200mb HDD. It was right about the time that 3 1/2 disks started to become standard, so my dad and I used to go around to all the software stores and buy up literal garbage bags full of games and software on 5 1/4 for $50. A lot of them didn't have boxes and were either just in a protective sleeve or in ziploc baggies like they were slinging fucking drugs or something.
I miss computer conventions/shows. You could get some great deals on hardware, and if you could find the right people, it was like a Pirate Bay IRL meet up. Though looking back, that was probably more of a ploy to get people to buy more disks from their vendors - which always were a bit overpriced compared to everything else.
