Any millennials in their mid to late 30s can you pls tell me why drum n bass died out in the ps2 generation?
As a zoomer born in 99 i grew up with a ps2 and a shit ton of games had dnb in the soundtracks. Sucks i wasn't around for the peak of the genre, i still enjoy listening to dnb :)

Trap and Crunk basically destroyed the market viability of DnB, additionally it was always more niche as an electronic music genre.
It's why you also really don't see eurobeat outside of niche communities or as obligatory meme mixes.

i was born in 92 you could not escape dnb or jungle but i had no idea what it was. I mainly heard it on my playstation 1 demo disc's and tv commercials or on a vhs tape trailer. they really liked to use dnb as background music for some reason and it carried over in the 2000s when the genre was peaking. then in 2010 we had dubshit which will never stand the test of time. dnb/jungle comes from jazz drum samples and it's just something i nod my head to i can find really relaxing dnb or Hard lets fucking go type tracks. you can't get that with dubstep the moment that genre came out 2 years later it died fast. but dnb stands the test of time.

to give credit where is do, it's mostly middle class white wiggas that rap about xanax, old hiphop from the 80s and even some of the 90s where all about the struggles of "muh race muh society" crap that low minorities "citizens" went thru in amerimutt. weird since dnb was already popular in the 90s but mostly in the uk. dnb only came popular in america and other parts of the world around the turn of the millennium and died out of relevancy around the mid 00s, but it's still thriving in the uk to this day.

I do like some rap it just depends on the context.
I feel like in the edm scene there is this genre elitism. like we need to create our own samples and produce our own music and blah blah blah
just make good music who cares how you made it in dnb there are alot of samples being used and its a heresy to these producers but the samples allow me to vibe on the drums and really feel the music.Not the best genre but its my fav highly recommend.

I vividly remember seeing a picture of a group of female kpop idols and they were walking down a road in what seemed to be a parade of sorts as one could also see in the picture that the road they were walking down was empty and there were people on the sidewalk that were kept on the sidewalk due to metal barriers and I think there may have been a float in front of them but anyway, yeah, the kpop idols had what seemed to be African American fans behind the barrier shouting (positively) at them and the idols had this clear expression of utter revulsion for these fans.
And then of course, there's the famous tweet compilation of that kpop female idol publicly expressing her opinion that black people are inferior.
