i'm gonna miss the ps4, i love this system. i grew up with it, it lasted me all through high school and college i finally graduate next year, wish me luck boys it's the only console i collected for, i just hope sony doesn't fuck up the ps4's physical legacy by releasing a digital only model since alot of people might not switch over to the ps5 yet. the ps4 truly feels like the gamers last console. put the memes aside and share your favorite moments with the ps4 era

What games did you play?
>collect
Collecting things that are printed in the millions are not collectables. Collectible implies a scarcity.
>gamers
stop using that word
>gamers last console
Last console was the generation before that. Ps3/360/Wii. They stopped making games shortly after.

The Wii was the series finale of console gaming. Everything after is Boruto.

I'd argue with you on the collectibles point since eventually games do become rare in the future which is shown by the ridiculous prices of physical edition retro games. By your logic, trading cards wouldn't be collectibles either since they're printed in the millions as well.

The definition of collecting aside. Nobody is (or should be) impressed by one's ability to collect something that is directly sold for money. The fact that more than one copy exists or could be produced at any given time (e.g. trading cards) means it's not rare. Any currently produced physical media with more than one copy in circulation is either already archived upon the internet or requires a shockingly unimpressive amount of money to obtain. All modern video games are backed up. All trading card game art is stored and can be reprinted at any given time, you shouldn't even care about authenticity if you were an actual advocate of the game it plays. There's also the matter of whether or not something is worth collecting, 40 different prototypes of some 80s handegg simulator, however rare, are not impressive.
>eventually games do become rare in the future
Nope.
>ridiculous prices
All free and at best a vehicle for money laundering. This does not make your collection any less impressive.
