I have Dark Arisen on the PS3 and have been tempted to get it for PC because it sometimes looks a little crusty on the ps3

Get it for PC if you can. Better performance. DA is the original with some tweaks and fixes as well as the entire Dark Arisen expansion. No real reason not to play the DA version.
