Hear me out here, ayylien controlled earth could make for an excellent story. Your character could be some sort of proto-chosen with psyonic powers or alien gene mods as the stand in for augmentation. You could tackle and discuss the bad and the good of the alien controlled earth, maybe have some ADVENT members truly want to make a difference for the better, or some abuse their powers for the worse, or maybe the ethereals simply have no time to prepare for whatever coming threat in another way, etc. And to one-up Deus Ex, the game should actually let you either join the resistance or continue the conspiracy and side with the ethereals(maybe with how that new game turned out I imagine a lot of people would choose this option) and try and Sam Carter ADVENT into a better path.

Had to check the date this was posted because I thought it was about the Minneapolis riots. A lot of race talk from dumb celebs when it's only seen as police brutality at this point. Also, you can't use every black person killed by a white police officer for justification when you haven't proven the officer in question is racist. The only thing I see, right now, is that he had a low pension. That may change like what is happening with Arbery but in both cases, the outcomes were excessive and doesn't have any racial meaning, as of right now, other than what the viewers political leaning perceives.
Also, there are opportunists outside of Minnesota who are using Floyd's death to commit crimes for themselves or in the name of some kind of social justice that is long overdue. If they are actually people rioting because of Floyd's death, they have done a huge disservice because they are distracting from the real tragedy of Floyd's end. Blame racism when you actually have proof of racism and not some emotional gut feeling you have of 2 people of different colors meeting and one ending up dead for it. Statistically that happens all the time. No need to carry generational hate into a crime that doesn't call for it.

The actual facts of the case are ancillary at best (like with all media-created events).
