I was playing Rune Factory frontier for Wii and the Lava cave boss (second boss of the game) is a Matador tier wake up call to actually give a shit about your levels, weapons and armor stats.
Doesn't help the game the game is kinda janky when it comes to combat, feels like it's missing dodge rolling and/or blocking when some enemies go full bullet hell on you.

While the elite 4 in every pokémon game are filters that test to see if the player actually understands the basic game mechanics, this is the only boss (barring Battle Frontier type stuff) in the series that forces the player to actually adapt their strategy in order to defeat it.

Gonna have to give it to the Seltas Queen. Most fresh meat will try to kill the Seltas on top, only for it to re-spawn in about 30 seconds. That, and generally having alot of hard point so that weapons bounce rather frenetically.
I you know to bring a dung bomb and just smash the face when to you topple her, you will be fine; but hide-sight is 20-20.
