That is a big issue. I also work in a place with unions, and I've seen several issues with this whole idea. For one thing, the union leadership sold the workers down the river multiple times, sometimes costing jobs, other times costing benefits, and all in order to get trips paid for by the company. Unions are not a guarantee that the company will not fuck you over. The other thing is that the union has to defend the worker no matter what, even when the worker does not do his job, is pulling some blatant bullshit or what have you. Recently took ours (soon to be 11) to the vet because he spent two days vomiting all he ate, and then stopped eating outright. He had crystals in his kidneys, and also had eaten some plastic string from a Christmas decoration, probably hurting his insides really bad. Really hit hard when he refused to answer meows at all. It's really nice to see him back to normal now, though we do have to feed him special food from now on. Condolences, anon. He was a good cat.

Basically what happened is something similar to what happened with the exodus from cuckchan to here. Dysnomia wanted the board in a certain direction and /b/ didn't agree with it. So someone made a /b2/ and started grabbing attention from anons on /b/ who were frustrated with the way dysnomia was handling things on his end, so in a sense /b2/ is a reaction from the user base who is fed up with the current board owner and wants things to be run differently. Additionally Dysnomia would also ban people who speak out against him without setting up things like meta threads to know what the community wants. In any case, I have no hard feelings towards one board or the other, although I wish /b2/ success in their efforts to establish a new community, Additionally I hope that Dysnomia is able to reach the niche he wants to cater too.
