It's kinda hard to explain. I think I have social anxiety, because basically what happens is that, while I know that nothing seriously wrong will happen, it's like my brain gets flooded with all the possible outcomes of what could go wrong and my body assumes that something is gonna happen. Basically imagine what'd it feel like if some guy is playing Russian roulette behind your back and aim at your head, except that feeling happens to stuff as trivial as going to a grocery store or walking on the beach. And while you know that said revolver is just a toy gun that doesn't even shoot anything, your body and brain think it is and act accordingly. Of course due to my childhood, I always feel like someone might yell at me not because I was yelled at, but because my mother was by my grandmother every fucking day or berate me and that causes my body to freak out. The anxiety also causes me to quintuple guess anything I'm doing because I'm thinking I'm doing something wrong. It gets even worse when someone else is around that's watching me; my mind goes blank and I start to decuple guess what I'm doing.
Also, among other things, feeling like everybody is looking at you and judging you, tremors from being so anxious, studdering, dry throat, shaky legs, shaky hands, blushing, sweating, and an elevated heart rate. If I wasn't clear enough, lemme give you some direct examples of what my brain and body do.

>Hear footsteps behind me getting louder and louder
>Think the person behind me might think I'm weird if I look behind me
>Move over to the left, forcing myself to not look behind me while the footsteps get louder and louder
>My heart starts going into MAXIMUM OVERDRIVE, legs start to feel a little wobbly
>Guy who walks past me is just some twink who's shorter than I am
>Buy something in the grocery store
>Brain thinks the cashier might find me weird if I look at her, so look at essentially nothing on my phone or the gum I'm never going to buy
>Guy ahead of me has trouble with the card reader; could just take my items over to the empty, completely free line but I don't because my brain thinks the person in front of me and the cashier would find it rude
>Unnecessarily wait 5 minutes while they try to figure it out
>My turn in line
>Pull out my wallet to pay for my items, feel an inordinate amount of pressure coming from the cashier and the people behind me waiting for me to hand over my money
>Hands start to shake, can't find the ten bucks in my wallet due to all dollar bills looking the same
>Notice the cashier is staring at me while I fiddle in my wallet, causing me to get even more nervous
>Finally hand over the ten dollars, have rough time stuffing my change back into my wallet due to my hands being non-cooperative

>Feel like I've done something to pissed the car off behind of me and that's why he's following me so close
>Start feeling boxed in if there's a car directly next to me as I'm driving, worry that the car might bump into me

Glad I'm not the only one. I tried going to the gym, took me a while before I was comfortable enough to go consistently rather than once every couple of weeks, but even then I'd never touched the free-weights for a fear that someone might look at me and ostracize me for not doing proper form, or force me to stop, or mock me for not lifting as much as they can.
A small positive though was back when I used to run regularly on the beach, I would push myself harder to run farther because I'd think the people I'm passing by might be thinking I'm pathetic because I took a breather.

What Marx failed to realize is that the true means of production is the human mind, and that all throughout history all we have done is allow us to spend more time using it rather than our bodies to get things done.

I actually knew that, his best writing (which to a large degree is not quite correct but thats no fault of Marx) is largely ignored while the communist manifesto is what everyone quotes. Marx was right about the dehumanization caused by factory work and how people should be critical of the actions of (what was at the time, its not exactly as straightforward in the 21st century) the capitalist class, but his analysis of things like economic systems isn't correct (for instance the labor theory of value is fucking retarded) and even at the time was considered dated. I actually have a bit of a soft sport for Slavoj Žižek but like Marx he still misses the mark on quite a few things.

In Marx's writing, no not really. Presumably this would have been covered in the last 3 volumes of Capital, but of course he died before they were written.
