Finally got to the end of this video. Echoing dialogue and they make no comment on it, frame drops toward the end and they stop of showing the actual gameplay instead of this walk around because of this. They say it's the "technologies" fault and x-split and they'll do that next mission on expert later but this was a really poor demonstration. Unless this was like a live stream or demonstration for e3, there was no excuse to even record this poor demonstration of a video and still upload it. As for why the krogan didn't try to cure the genophage I think it's partly because the salarians did a really good job engineering it, partly because the failure of the Rebellions put the krogan down but good, and partly because the krogan were evolving around it. There's a bit more to it, but that's the gist of things. Looking at Master Chief, you know he's a soldier rather than a hazmat handler or an athlete.
Applying the same process to the Javelin suits, what are they meant to accomplish? What diegetic role do they serve?

So what do they actually look like? Nothing.

>tank has giant feet and torso but tiny dainty human hands and a bunch of metal plates that stick out and would get in the way if he actually had to move

>ninja looks like the wind bionicle dude but less cool
The red mechsuit in particular has the same feet as the Metal Gear RAY from MGR:R, which bothered me unconsciously because it's such an obviously nonhuman foot structure. The pilot must be walking on his tiptoes, since his feet probably end halfway up the suit's "ankle." The tank suit is a fucking ballet dancer. Pic related shows the same thing is true of the rest.
One nice detail is that the suits are covered in obvious cargo hooks, which explains how they'd carry stuff, but that detail is barely visible on the largest one, and practically nonexistent on the two lighter suits. Instead, we get a bunch of visual clutter and noise which makes the suits look unfocused. Again, what is the purpose of all the orange lines and dots on the wizard suit? If he were developed by someone with contemporary fashion sense, then sure, but I'm under the impression Anthem will take place in a post-apocalyptic setting or on an alien planet, where the Javelins don't need to worry about looking fancy.

It starts already bad with the helmet having stupidly pointless lines everywhere over the visor. Halo kept it simple and it worked. It's probably one of the more OK designs to START with as a base but it's full of dumb busy shit too like the blue plating on the arm and the wheel-gear on the leg.

One of the most irritating ones to look at, the orange spots everywhere is attention grabbing, especially on black and has no place being used through the entire figure which just makes it look horrible. There's no sense of balance in design for where your eyes can rest and it's just shitty noise to your brain the whole way down for different reasons.
