My Halloween Spooktacular continues with Darkwood, which I'm enjoying immensely. Its some kind of unholy matrimony of Survival horror and Open world survival that actually works. Its effectively spooky too, accurately captures the subtle creepiness of being inawoods, even during the day. At night you have to barricade in your hideout and btfo native savages that get too upity and try to invade your hut, all while the game throws random spooky shit at you just to fuck with your head, like doors being knocked on, strange lights appearing in the trees and disembodies voices, and as you get your barings in the open world and git gud at surviving, the narrative draws you in deeper. Usually by dropping orcs.
Apart from regular dwarves, Game of Thrones only has the two different flavours of elves. Any setting that lifts english myth, and leans into the Titania, Queen of the Summer Court, usually even bother with dwarves or orcs. Don't recall any Orcs in Narnia, or at any rate, they weren't didn't show until Silver Chair. Any Chinese setting, with white haired sorceresses or monkey kings are going to be explicitly Chinese, and not Nordic. Any Japanese setting that isn't from a westaboo, like Mushishi, will be explicitly Japanese. Only four books in, haven't played the games, but orcs don't seem to be a fixture in the Witcher. And that's not getting into the fantasy settings that love vampires, in any era. Or fantasy settings that are more greek or roman, with their manipulation of the gods.
