I feel like both the criticism and the praise for this game are both overblown. It reminds me a lot of Darksiders honestly. Just kind of meh games that couldn't quite reach the heights of greatness for what they are. Usually just being okay as far as the first game. I haven't played the NuGoW yet, but my problem isn't that the game looks bad, it does look decent, but it's not a GoW game anymore.
GoW was an Action game first, with either platforming or puzzle used for down time between fights.
But this new one ignores everything that was built up from the previous games, and is now a Open World action RPG, with a completely different combat system, that looks like a huge downgrade to what there was before, if you remove Kratos's name from this game, then it has no reason to be called GoW anymore.

I've told the story in this thread before, but my friend died the same way before I could make up with him for events in the past. Someone in his crowd of friends was the brother of someone else who was involved in a gang, and that gang killed a young man from a rival gang. So, the rival gang said "Fuck it. If we can't get one brother, kill the other." He happened to be in that crowd when they pulled up, the shooter exiting the car and shouting to get everyone's attention before unloading on everyone. He tried running but was shot several times. Took the police a few crucial minutes to find him and get him to the hospital, and he died of his wounds about a week later.
I'm not really full KILL ALL THE BLACKS, but I've been convinced ever since then that about 80-90% of them are senselessly violent, human garbage who will unload a gun upon a crowd of innocent bystanders just so they can maybe hit the asshole they really want to kill. My friend died for something he had no involvement in and I will always despise the common gun-toting, gang-joining nigger for perpetuating the kind of violence that took his life for no good reason at all.
I guess it's only fitting that even my waifu is dead. I hope your story ends better than mines did.

I think allot of people watched at least some of SU, just to try and see what the deal was.
I watched it for a time, the first season was promising setting up what seemed like an interesting universe, and then after that there was filler, and then more filer, they showed the main villan once and then never again for a whole year, the only reason I watched for so long was because I thought it the plot has to start eventually right?
The way the show progressed was driving me nuts, until I found out they literally didn't have any of the story planned out a head of time, and they basically come up with the artsy tumbler shit first and the actual writing later. the show is fascinating in poorly it's made.
They basic outline of SU had potential to be a decent show, but all of it is consistently squandered.
One of the funniest things is that one of the characters was straight up stolen from an old anime.

I've got a few concerning the one SJW who I knew in person. There was this one girl who myself and a bunch of friends knew from college. She went her own way for a few years but kept contact with my mates and eventually ended up back in our social circle a year or two after we all graduated. One particular clash happened in person when we were all meeting up for drinks to celebrate one of the guys birthdays, and as it just so happened, it was over gamergate. Night was going great until I left to take a piss, came back to find her pontificating about the evils of our little consumer advocacy movement and how it was all about harassing wymen. Of course, I interjected to insist it was about Ethics in Games Journalism, and asked if she thought I was a responsible for the alleged harassment of Quinn and Co because I had the audacity to email a few advertisers. We had a pretty loud clash, I cant remember what was said afterwards, but she left the party and didn't come back.
Things got pretty tense after that but we just did our best to avoid one another and maintained minimal pleasantries at social gatherings to keep the peace. Eventually we got comfortable talking again and of course we started arguing again not long after. Next occasion was during casual drinks at a BBQ one of the guys was throwing, we got talking about Movies. This was recent enough and it was around the time that there were Rumors circulating that Edris Elba would play the new Bond, and of course she was just so enthused at the idea that a black man would take on the role. I told her while I admire then mans acting chops, Bond is a white character, and if the races were reversed, people would be up in arms at the idea. She got visibly angry and insisted on changing the topic to music, but the conversation was sort of shot after that.
The final occasion was the outright end of our tenuous friendship. Myself, the guys and this lady were all in a group chat on Google Hangouts that we used to chit chat during the day and talk about video games and movies. The chat also got political on occasion, and one day I checked in during the weekend to find how one of the guys was totally perplexed by how the gay guy he worked with was pro life. In fact, everyone in the chat was confused by this, even our gay friend. In typical shitlib style they couldnt imagine how a gay man would have feelings or opinions that strayed outside of the liberal progressive approved field of thought. The SJW chick was insisting that this was all because of how society had brainwashed gays into thinking their existence is wrong and that it was called internalized homophobia, even though none of that had anything to do with the topic of abortion. So I jumped into to give them some food for thought, pointed out how they'ed stereotyped the guy by assuming that because he was gay, he would automatically think exactly alike them on given topics, even though abortion has nothing to do with homosexuality in the first place. I went on to tell SJW grill that her assertion that his opinions were all because of internalized homophobia was just a dismissive way of hand-waving opinions that didn't fit into her world view. Well, the guys were all pretty receptive to my thoughts, but the girl…she went fucking ballistic, accused me of being a racist, sexist homophobic Nazi(I'm not exaggerating either, that's nearly verbatim) and left the chat outright, never to return. We were all a bit blown away since there was nothing particularly inflammatory about how I approached the topic, I just stated my opinions and pointed out how they were all making illogical assumptions about how this one guy should think.The guys ended up laughing about her over reaction and that was the end of it. I've lost all contact with her since then, naturally, but apparently since our final showdown shes only become more and more strung out on the kool aid, so much so that one of the guys decided to stop following her on twitter because of all the no-fun-allowed Social Justice shit she posts. I don't believe she meets up with any of the guys anymore either and she hasn't been invited to any of our events in a long time. Not sure if that's a choice the guys made after her blowout or if she was too afraid to face her own personal boogeyman and declined any future invites though.

My experience of Europe and in particular french culture is that they do the same thing over and over again. There are no new ideas in Europe. They are too old as cultures to evolve. They just repeat themselves and learn nothing.
