You're missing line weight. Looks kind of like you pathed the whole thing out with the pen tool? Your lines are perfectly consistent which is actually the opposite of what you want, they should be extremely inconsistent. The line weight at the focal point of a drawing should be much heavier than at the periphery, maybe five times heaver at least. And of course any surface that overlaps something behind it should have the weight massively cranked up to make the depth difference apparent.
It's really hard to have too much line weight and it is the secret sauce that makes sketches look good.

On the first one, there's dark bunches around the middle finger. Whether they're suppose to be shadows or not, it looks bad.
On both, the lines are sorta feathery but they're not chicken scratches. Keep in mind your lines' weight/tone; The creases/wrinkles on the palm of the second image stuck out to me since they're darker than other lines.
The first image's anatomy looks a bit iffy around the fingers. The second is very good.
Either way, both drawings are good. Clear representations.

Suit yourself, but it isn't optional. Even the quickest and roughest thumbnail sketch should have it. It's one of the things that allows a thumbnail sketch to still read well despite being so quick and lacking in detail. You're dismissing it as something that's less important than perspective and composition, when it's equally important. The only way around it is using value to communicate depth instead. Better yet, both at once.

Your lack of lineweight is half of what's causing this issue. Raiden's outline should be way more dominant than the interior lines. It's not working because every single line is crammed in there competing for the same amount of attention. That much intricacy can't fit into such a small space. If something is small you must sacrifice detail and choose your battles carefully, deciding which lines are most important. It's like a movie, there can only be one or two main actors, everyone can't be the main actor
The perspective on the mobile armor is good. The composition could be improved probably by setting up the scene from directly behind Raiden so he fills a lot of the frame. But in any case don't fall under the impression that you aren't ready to be thinking about line weight yet. It is always a massive benefit.

dude, I can do great line work, particularly if I am working on canvas or pen an paper but I am not going to waste my time worrying about line work on a digital thumbnail where because of lag and just the disorientation of using a tablet (maybe its setting) it's hard to have great lines without spending way to much time fussing.

yes, that what I was thinking (see composition 02.png) but the issue is that the Hashmal is so mechanical and Alien that its difficult to render it an such a manner that the viewer can recognize what they are looking at with a proper sense of scale. Particularly if I replay on forshortening and have Rayden larg in the forfrount it may not read properly the side of the gundam.
In comic books and video games often the artist can have an establishing shot. Then you can have a close up with less information but the establishing shot allows the viewer to fill in the blanks. Being this is a single panel I am struggling to conceptualize the composition mainly because I am not extreamly familiar with Hashmal's anatomy. To imagine it from perspective necessary to get a real sense of depth and scale is proving to be difficult. Just looking toys and screenshots from the anime doesn't really help me understand what it would be like to be 6'2" and looking up at a 115' 5" armored bird-mech that looks vaguely like MG Ray.
Plus I don't want to just copy to 1:1 a screenshot from the MGR. Also if the Hashmal's head was facing Raiden like the Ray's does in all the promotional (or on the screenshot) then I don't know what that Narrow beak creature should look like because I have little good reference material. Lastly, the Hashmal seems very flimsy or "thin" and mechanical with a weak silhouette where as Ray's design is far muscular and organic with a silhouette that is far more distink reseboling something far more familiar in terms of animals you might find in nature. This makes it even more difficulte to rely on gesture to comunicate the from.
Honestly, I'm capable of doing this, just find it more frustrating and complex then I intially assumed.

Yeah, they were shadows. It looks bad because I don't know anything about shading yet, and tried to wing it. I'm just trying to get the "Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain" concept down right now. I don't have great control of my lines yet, so things often go off the rails, and that featheriness is me saying, "Wait, why did my hand move that way?" or "I was wrong, the curvature of that line is more like…" and things like that. The thumb and pinky on pic 2 got the worst of it. On the thumb, I couldn't get my hand to move how I wanted, and on the pinky I lost focus entirely, so it's too long. I also have to clue how to manage line weight yet.
Despite all these deficiencies, I'm pretty happy, considering I basically couldn't draw at all less than ten drawings ago. Thanks for the feedback. I'll keep it in mind as I learn.

I'm not gonna be a pest and tell you to LOOMIS, because there is more to drawings than anatomical accuracy, but your work would benefit a lot if you worked a bit on body and face construction. As you are drawing now, you are ot drawing a face, or a body, or an eye, but your idea of an eye, a body, a face, aka symbol drawing.
I don't really know if you want to git gud or if you just want to make some stuff iny our free time to share with anons, which is just nice, but even if you are doing it just for f un, it wouldn't hurt to try improving pic by pic.

Let's see.
First thing, good job overall. I see some minor stuff here and there. Either her right eye is higher than it should, or the left is lower than it should. The shoulder and shoulderblade zone looks off. I think it should go higher, near her chin, so her arm is in a more proper position, and also would solve her short right arm problem too.
The hands are kinda sketchy. It's a really difficult pose you chose, so congrats on pushing yourself, you didn't have to do it and you went for it anyways.
Her thumb isn't reading well, same with her pinky, making it a tad confusing when you look at it.
The color is a tad flat for my taste, but i always go overboard with the values and saturation, this is more soft, and i think it fits the pic.
Boobage is massive but that's Danielle for ya.
Definitely, i would use reference for the hands.

Forgot about the face.
Despite it being true that one eye should be smaller than the other with the face in this kind of angle, you over did it, and it looks weird.
Even in simplistic animu style, it's good to remeber the nose bridge. Even if you don't directly draw it, obscuring or hiding behind it a portion of the eye and the glasses helps it looks more tridimensional.
I added a few hair strands here and there to make it look a bit livelier, and considering the lightsource, darkened her hair a bit too, and round up her teeth to go with the skull curvature.
You won't believe how a smidge of reddish to a cheeck helps at make something look aliver.
Also, coloring the lineart is a great idea but coloring it all with the same tone isn't. Consider the color of the zones and color it acordingly, darker blue or even violet for the blue hair, etc.
