Shoujo Ai isn't a thing. There's Yuri, Yuri Lite (as in YRYR) and Subtext. These are the three categories of /u/ material.

The first line says they use the alternate name "ガールズラブ" to refer to yuri. Nowhere does it say they use the term shoujo-ai in Japan as we use it, except that they comment that the word shoujo-ai has been imported into the west and is widely used there to refer to yuri manga and anime.
However if you had read the very first line of that article you would have understood that shoujo-ai is used in Japan to refer to love towards girls, i.e. pedophilia.
