I live in germany and we had online classes. The teacher told us to leave a comment on a website and I said some things about ww2.
Mr. ### said that they found out that I was the one who posted but I was using a Tor. Do they know it was me or are they just trying to get me to admit to doing it. Can their it department trace the comment back to me?

Unless they have access to your ISP's logs they're bluffing. And even if they do and Tor usage is time correlated there is no way to prove that it was really you who posted it. It's a bit more difficult to pull off a correlation attack. They would have to be prepared in advance.

If you did it from a school computer Tor is not very effective. They probably have some kind of logging system, might even have keyloggers. No amount of encryption can save you if they snoop before that computer gets to Tor.
Anyway, just do what this song says: https://invidious.snopyta.org/watch?v=yhc4m2zPHI0
