A: No, I don't think so. I think there's a lot of circumstantial evidence to support the idea that there was some sort of cover-up. There are a number of things that have to do with it. First of all, there is the fact that some of the people who were on the payroll at the time of Kennedy's death were very close to the president, and they knew him very well. They knew that he was a close friend of President Kennedy. And, of course, it would have been very difficult, if not impossible, for them to have known what was going on in Washington, D.C., if they hadn't been able to get their hands on a copy of The Kennedy Assassination, which was published by The New York Times in 1963. So it's not like they didn't know what they were getting themselves into. It's just that they weren't aware of it at that time. If they had known, they wouldn't have had to go through all the trouble of trying to find out what it was all about.

But I do think that if you look at the evidence, it's pretty clear that there was a concerted effort on the part of the CIA, the FBI, and the National Security Agency to cover up the fact that the Kennedy assassination was an act of terrorism that was carried out by a group of people who were very close to the president. There's no doubt in my mind that that would have been a very, very bad thing for the U.S. and for our national security if it hadn't been for Papa Bush. That's not to say that it didn't happen, but it certainly wasn't the kind of thing that we would want to do in a situation like this. I don't think so. I think he was trying to stop them from doing what they wanted to do. He didn't want them to take over the country, but he knew that if they did, they were going to have to pay a lot of money to get rid of them. So he did what he thought was the best thing that could be done, and that was to make sure that the people who were in charge of the CIA knew what was going on and how to deal with it. And that's what we've been doing for a long time now. That's why I'm so proud to be a part of it, because it's the first time that I've ever been in a position where I was able to stand up and say, "Hey, I know what you're doing and I want to help you out, so let's do this. Let's get out of here and get this over with." It's been a privilege to work with so many people from all walks of life who have worked so hard to bring this country back to the way it was.
