A Ontario chiropractor, faced discipline with professional watchdogs in connection with sexually abusing seven of his patients.
Dr. Sean E. McNulty, from Mississauga, Ontario admitted to allegations of sexually abusing seven women patients over a period of over 23 years, spanning from 1997 to 2020.
Many of the victims belonged to the same running club where the accused acted as a part-time fitness coach/trainer. In separate instances after befriending each victim, the women were invited to become patients and received treatment at his chiropractic clinic or to be personally trained.
Dr. McNulty was disciplined by the Ontario College of Chiropractors (OCC) for professional misconduct by having his certficate of registration revoked and has been issued an order to pay a monetary penalty. He is allegedly facing civil litigation by the victims.
Dr. McNulty resigned his professional membership with the OCC and closed his Missisauga practice. Sources say he has recently moved to a location near Halifax, Nova Scotia.
