Sometimes I think I'm the only person alive with this problem, and I do realize this will at first sound like some huge SJW talking, but I assure you, this comes from an entirely different place.
There's virtually no porn that works for me. If the function of Porn is to arouse, then I'd have to say 99.99% of "porn" is actually anti-porn. Regardless of genre, and so-called "amateur" is actually worse.
I think I have identified the reasons that is so. In order for porn to work (maybe just for me?), it has to allow the viewer to live vicariously through one of the participants (normally the male actor). Porn works to the extent that one participant does the stuff you'd like to do, the way you'd like to do it, to someone you'd REALLY like to do it with, and all that is expertly caught on camera from angles and with a zoom level that allows you to fully enjoy the spectacle.
Can you say that is what happens in 99.99% of porn? Does the action on screen look enjoyable (to the male actor)? To me, it looks completely... off, weird, uncanny. I mean, you expect a certain kind of body language, a certain pattern of movement from a person experiencing strong lust and about to have sex. And when I look at the body language in porn, I could swear these people are playing the world's most protracted game of Jenga. The movement is stiff, calculated, and it looks as though they're actively trying to avoid touching their partner. The poses are awkward, unnatural, unpleasant; "hovering hands" are the norm (No seriously, how many times have you seen the actor touching the couch they're on, or their own hip, or lifting their own shirt, or any excuse conceivable not to touch the gorgeous female they're freaking having SEX with?). I ask myself if I'd like to be in their place and the answer is "No". It shatters the illusion.
Let's not even get into the issue of cameramen who think they're filming for a dermatology con, or perhaps doing scenery photography, or so-called amateur porn which - in addition to having the same issues as "professional" porn - does not even have a dedicated cameraman, and thus the actors themselves alternate between "fucking" and fiddling with electronics.
And of course, Porn is an industry responding to incentives, which means that if my view was more prevalent, then you wouldn't have 99.99% of movies following these unspoken "conventions". Indeed, maybe people think they make the movies BETTER. Am I completely alone in this? How on Earth do people fap to this garbage???
