There is no "alt-tech" as long as big tech is at the reins of all available resources that alt-tech uses. Big tech owns hosting providers, reverse proxies, payment processors, cloud servers, and everything else. Even Gab, a site that claims to be independent of big tech as it hosts its own site on its own servers, uses Cloudflare, the service that got 8chan shut down for half a year.
