Maybe Twitter but other social media platforms...fuck no. I’m glad Facebook and Instagram have censorship and you aren’t allowed to harass anyone or just say anything. It stops those platforms from becoming a cesspool like this board and countless other online forums are. I much rather be forced to be extra nice and careful with what I say on social media platforms with my real info on them than having me and everyone else allowed to be as edgy/offensive as possible with no limits. reddit is imho actually /almost/ a good facility... Its problems are it's Centralized and a for-profit entity, and it filtering/scoring system isn't user-centric --if it had 'killfiles'/'scorefiles' that were completely user-side, like what a supposed Usenet-derivative should be doing, nearly all the social problems on that site would be eliminated.
I want "Web 4.0" to be one where user-side controls the presentation... (Furries: wouldn't be -fantastic- if FurAffinity gave you killfiles to remove all the diaper cripples and merchant YCHs/Reminder posts..)
Twitter had something like user-side filtering, but of course (((they))) had to get rid of it.

I think a certain degree of censorship is necessary to keep social media platforms from becoming a cesspool. I don’t agree with image boards or online forums having any sorts of censorship since they were made with the purpose of absolute freedom in speech but places like Facebook should stay the way they are. Sure, real life interaction is better but then again, you won’t be spending your time 24/7 outside. Sooner or later you will want to browse your social media, engage in conversations, comment on people’s pictures, etc and that is better done in a way that is not toxic, that is respectful and in a way that won’t hurt your image/status if you were to say it out loud in public. My Facebook and Instagram profiles have my face plastered all over them, my family’s as well and I can’t begin to imagine the people I interact with on Facebook have the same mentality as trolls on here. You would be harassed relentlessly and any bored troll can make a meme out of you if they feel like it (i.e travis and the countless pics made about him) which is cortisol fuel and definitely not something I would want to happen to me.

I spend at least 2 hours every single day browsing Reddit. I have over 800k comment karma, I've been given Reddit Gold over 10 times. When I'm at work or out for a walk or biking I'm listening to Reddit podcasts (see pic). There are so many good ones, I'm happy I can enjoy Reddit all day long even when I'm not looking at a screen.
Protip: if you don't 'fit in' on Reddit at first, you have to ask yourself which of your beliefs and attitudes you have to change in order to fit in. Once you fit in you feel at home and the karma starts rolling in.
