I'm stuck in the third world with no hope and all I have is music.
I would like to record my music on my own, it is the reason why I live to be frank but saving in my country is impossible considering that we have the largest inflation in the world.
I have done everything to carry out this project but something always happens and it stops me, it is the only thing I have and I have not been able to materialize it, it's sad and that is why I ask for your help, because I don't know what to do.
Maybe you make fun of me and I don't really care, but if you want to help, the story is this:
I need $ 200 to buy a microphone, cables, headphones, an audio interface, and guitar strings. And if nobody cares that's fine too, I just keep trying, like every day.

Well, I can't help you, but I was/am in your exact same situation. It's not gonna happen buddy. Nobody really famous is playing guitars anymore, but if you really wanna try you can do a few things:
-Are you posting on a computer or phone? If you have an iPhone, you're just going to have to start with recording on that (the quality is surprisingly feasible).
-One way to gain recognition and make some money is to upload popular covers mixed in with your own songs on youtube. Put your money where your mouth is, show us you have talent.
-Do you have a job or not? Are you near anything called a 'temp agency'? If you have those in your country, go work there for a week and then quit and buy your interface, and an SM-57 microphone.
-Just torrent FL Studio and try making music on that. Don't fall for the guitar meme. It's like $2000 for an electric guitar and amp and then you need a band and an actual practice space, it's a fucking nightmare in 2020. We literally have technology to make these things easier now. You don't necessarily need the interface for that, but if it's not your style, I get it.
-Do not do drugs. DO NOT DO DRUGS NO MATTER WHAT YOU'LL NEVER SAVE MONEY IF YOU DO. [if you wanna do drugs, at least wait until after you're not poor]
-You can always busk.
And yeah, that's pretty much it. I'm not even going to address the fact that you need guitar strings, they're like $5. There's really no big secret or conspiracy to keep you down, if you wanna do it you just have to do it. But I'm sure you'll bitch, and moan about how you can't afford the right equipment, or you haven't practiced, or that the conditions aren't right... Judging by the fact you don't even have strings you probably don't know what you're doing at all.

Here's a couple of tips that MIGHT help, but are admittedly pretty lame:
>find a nicely made bathroom and record late at night/early in the morning so no one walks in to fuck up the acoustics and your recording
>headphones can double as microphones if you plug them into the mic socket
>try the e-begging sites like indiegogo.com, and see if you can borrow a guitar for long enough to make a phone-video to upload to your project
>tell Reddit instead of /b/, because Reddit is full of bleeding hearts with too much cash and we're all poorfags with cynical hearts

Homeless guy in USA here. I'm actually working on an album, between using the phone to record vocals and going to music stores and demoing products for a while while actually recording using the mic. (ugh) then I stop by the local library and painstakingly paste things together in Audacity on the public computers. Never give up.
