Someone linked me this build of un-Googled Chromium on ismycomputeron. Should I trust it? I extracted it to my desktop and ran it from there, everything seems to work alright. I've always wanted a version of ungoogled chrome but im not smart enough to build it. I just wanna make sure it's not patched to steal my passwords or something
Do any kind anons wanna check this out?

I've used so many different browsers and they all have problems which is why I'm back on regular Chrome now. I've always wanted Chromium though, it's one of the best browsers for privacy and functionality - you should be using it too.

Why would you get it from there when it doesn't have it's source code and claims to be a stock build of a project that does have the source code available and also has a community builds section?

Just get the binaries straight from the people who made the code. Note that their disclaimer about the binaries being unverifiable is always true, but more so with every step further from the source. If you're too lazy to build it yourself then get it from the link I dropped which is atleast closer.

You're right, I don't know what I was thinking. It's not that I'm lazy, per se, I just don't necessarily have the knowledge to build it myself yet. Kawaī senpai arigatōgozaimasu UwU

Ok, I deleted my original portable Chromium folder that was on my desktop then added in a new one I downloaded from the github. But the strange thing is, all of my settings we still there from the last one! (default search engine, home page)
How the fuck would that be possible when I deleted the last one??? They're different builds too. There is no password cache though, which is the way it's supposed to be. But still, it's a little concerning that my history was there from before. Fuck
