So I watched that black mirror episode where the guy shows the security camera the QR code that lets the AI access the huge networking mainframe. Anyway he had a plug in his head where he was interfacing with the AI, he said they didn’t overwrite anything inside him but he did merge with them for a time and it got me wondering. Let’s say you were to do that, would that really be any different than someone walking into a room with you and sitting down to chat for a while? Obviously it would have an effect on you in the same way that a persons presence does by the way they look, the way they speak to you, the way they smell and their body language. It leaves an impression even if they don’t touch you so of course merging with an AI would leave an impression but is my mind the same as a room that I live in? Am I just hanging out in here and it would be like having a guest over? I dunno
