During WWII Switzerland remained a neutral country providing shelter to refugees fleeing Nazi Germany. This shelter was offered only on the basis of political activities, not race or religion. Only if you were in fear of your life due to political leanings could you be granted amnesty. Switzerland conducted business with both sides during the war and purchased millions worth of gold from Nazi Germany. When the war came to an end would Switzerland have offered the same political asylum to escaping Nazis who feared death at the hands of the victors? Was Switzerland the closest safe haven for political refugees?
What of the Geneva (Switzerland) Convention and the creation of the International Committee of the Red Cross? The Red Cross emblem adopted by other Red Cross organizations (American Red Cross).
And what of the World Health Organization (Geneva, Switzerland)?
WHO benefits most?
