Two-thirds of Americans say voting by mail would increase voter fraud, poll finds

Findings include 48% of Democrats who say nixing in-person voting for the mailbox would trigger fraud.

Nearly two-thirds of American voters say the country moving entirely to mail-in voting would likely increase voter fraud, according to the latest Just the News Daily Poll with Scott Rasmussen.

Sixty-two percent (62%) of voters believe that having everyone vote by mail is likely to increase voter fraud, while just 29% disagree. The totals include 39% who believe an increase in fraud is Very Likely and just 15% who say it is Not at All Likely.

Rasmussen noted what he called "a massive partisan divide" - 81% of Republicans believe voting by mail would lead to more fraud. Democrats are evenly divided (48% say it's likely, 45% disagree). Among Independent voters, 59% believe it would probably lead to an increase in voter fraud while 27% disagree.

"These findings are certainly influenced by each party's narrative of voter fraud," Rasmussen said. "Republicans tend to believe that many people vote who are not eligible to vote. Voting by mail makes it impossible to check voter ids and take other steps to ensure that the ballots were actually cast by an eligible voters.

"Democrats on the other hand tend to believe that the bigger problem is that eligible voters are denied their right to cast a ballot through voter suppression tactics. They see voting by mail as encouraging voter participation and are suspicious of anyone who opposes that goal."

Just the News has reported on how Democrats appear united in their push to use "social distancing" around coronavirus to move the country toward November mail-in voting, expanded voting dates or possibly even "drive-thru voting."

Republicans suspect Democrats could be exploiting a health crisis for partisan gain. Some fear a rapid move to alter the General Election system could result in the type of chaos seen at the Iowa Democratic Caucus in February.

"Still, despite concerns about voter fraud, Americans are open to the idea if better alternatives are not presented," Rasmussen said. "Some public polls have shown an overwhelming preference for mail voting as opposed to the traditional approach of standing in long lines at crowded facilities. However, our poll last week showed that just as many are supportive of states establishing new in-person voting procedures that include appropriate social distancing protocols."

Respondents were asked: "Suppose that for November's presidential election, in-person voting was eliminated, and everyone would vote by mail. How likely is it that voting by mail would lead to an increase in voter fraud?" They replied as below:

The national survey of 1,200 registered voters was conducted April 23-25, 2020 by Rasmussen, a polling veteran. Margin of sampling error: +/- 2.8% for full sample.

Kentucky's GOP Legislature Overrides Liberal Governor Bashear's Veto On voter id Requirements

The Kentucky state legislature passed a bill requiring ID to vote. Democrat governor Andy Beshear, who has only been on the job for a few months, vetoed the bill.

Well it turns out Kentucky has a relatively low threshold for overriding a governor's veto, which only requires a simply majority.

The Kentucky General Assembly is overwhelmingly Republican, outnumbering the democrats 29-9 in the Senate and 61-37 in the House.

So the legislature got back together last week and took up votes to override Beshear's veto, which passed by yuge margins in both chambers.

28 Million Mail-In Ballots Have Gone Missing (over the last decade)

Sure, let's do mail-in voting. What's the worst that could happen? It's not like mail-in voting isn't a massive dead letter office of fraud.

The Public Interest Legal Foundation (PILF) today released a research brief detailing national figures for mail balloting failures, according to previous federal surveys.

Roughly 1 in 5 ballots never completed the mail voting process in the past decade.

"Putting the election in the hands of the United States Postal Service would be a catastrophe. Over the recent decade, there were 28 million missing and misdirected ballots," PILF President and General Counsel J. Christian Adams said. "These represent 28 million opportunities for someone to cheat. Absentee ballot fraud is the most common; the most expensive to investigate; and can never be reversed after an election. The status quo was already bad for mail balloting. The proposed emergency fix is worse."

The EAC defines "unknown" ballots as those that "were not returned by voter, spoiled, returned as undeliverable, or otherwise unable to be tracked by your office."

The full number of unknown ballots stands at 28,359,530. Not like those kinds of numbers could make an impact on the election.

Of course we wouldn't need to have these ridiculous conversations if we, like every civilized country, actually verified the ID of the people voting, instead of treating voting as if it were less important than buying cough syrup or beer.

We have the technology to actually let everyone securely buy products from their phone. Yet our elections run on systems that are built to enable fraud. And you don't have to speculate very hard as to who benefits from that fraud. It's the same political movement that keeps blocking and fighting any voter id measure even when it's supported by their own voters.

On-line Voter Registration Open to Fraud

Federal law provides a requirement for first time voters who register by mail to provide identification at the poll the first time they vote at a precinct. Law was established under the Help America Vote Act of 2002 (HAVA) and is 52 USC Sec 21083; pdf attached.

There is no federal law stipulating requirements and verifications for on-line voter registration. The NCSL, National Council of State Legislators, lists 39 states offering on-line voter registration. Not all states have legislation specifying the requirements and the verification process. States verify a registrant's details against driver's license or other state-issued identification card details on record. The states implement cyber security to protect data and records.

However, there is no real, authentic verification the applicant's signature is authentic. If a person has a copy of the signature, a digital image can made and attached to the application. There is no state representative or notary verifying the signature at time of application. The issue also exists with voter registration drives that rely on the integrity and honesty of the third party collecting voter registrations. States rely on the affidavit stating under threat of perjury. For DMV and election office voter registration applications, the documentation is provided to a state representative and signature is viewed and verified during application. Then a verified signature is on record to compare with to the sign-in when voting, whether at a poll or absentee. For mail-in voter applications, federal law requires providing identification or supporting documents at the polling place (specifics in 52 USC 21083(b)).

Using the NCSL page, checked the state law for my state, Pa. Stat. Title 25 sec.1324. Verified PA Title 25 is Elections. Section 1324 is Application by mail. The sections include in-person, DMV, mail, and government agency (paper form). There is state statute for on-line registration. NCSL states it was codified in 2015 but is not reflected on the state's legislation webpage. Based on the state legislation, or lack thereof, PA does not have a method to verify the authenticity of an on-line voter registration with the person voting.

Also looked at CA on-line voter registration law SB-397 Online voter registration. CA also relies on the signature of record for verification. The law does not specify how a signature is verified for person without a driver license or state ID. It appears the person does not have to sign the application as the state will use the signature on record for a license or ID. As noted in SB-397:

(4) For voter registration purposes, the applicant shall affirmatively assent to the use of his or her signature from his or her driver's license or state identification card.

(5) For each electronic affidavit, the Secretary of State shall obtain an electronic copy of the applicant's signature from his or her driver's license or state identification card directly from the Department of Motor Vehicles.

This is no surprise as the CA Election laws also specify for paper registrations, the signature of the affidavit is proof of citizenship. There is no verification process beyond a 'threat of perjury' statement.

Some Problems with On-Line Voter Registration:

There is no federal standard or method of verifying the registrant information matches with the person, including signature, when first-time voting at a polling precinct.

Not all states have implemented on-line registration and the standards may vary between states, all eligible voters are not treated equally.

On-line registration does not provide safeguards and verification that the signature of the registrant matches the state's signature of record and any signature requirement when voting at the polls.

Some Problems with Mail-In Voting (not requested absentee ballot system):

No assurance that ballots will be delivered to the appropriate address. Mail is sometimes mis-delivered.

The registered voter may no longer live at the residence on recorded. No method to assure the delivered ballot is not fraudulently filled out and submitted.

No federal standard on postage, if not pre-paid the voter must ensure proper postage (ballot sizes and referendums may effect postage) and any requirement to provide appropriate postage could be considered a poll tax.

Risk of mail being stolen from the resident's mailbox.

No fair and equal standard of time among states when ballots are sent out. If a person votes early and information becomes public of significant influence, that voter has been denied opportunity of a fair vote.

No assurance that a ballot delivered and received was filled out by the registered voter, i.e. a fraudulent vote.

No assurance that a properly filled out and mailed is received and counted by election office. Verification, if tracking is provided, becomes the responsibility of the voter instead of the election office.

Need to provide a method to comply with federal law 52 USC 21083 for first time voters who registered to vote by mail. Do not know how mail-in states comply with the federal requirement to verify the voter matches the registration.

Verification of voter signature with a signature of record with the state is not verification if the ballot signature is not witnessed.

NO to on-line voter registration without equal and complete standards among states

NO to general Mail-In Voting

YES to a paper trail for votes cast

YES to voter id - first time and every time at the poll - fair and equal

Virginia D-Rats have completely stolen all future elections. All voter id laws have been removed. If you have received any services by DMV, regardless of citizenship of state and country will be automatically registered to vote and have early voting ballots mailed to them. Republican early and absentee ballots are "being lost in the mail" while D-rats ballots make it on time without a hiccup.

Thanks Q for all you do. I can't even imagine plan z. Q, I raise HELL about voter id and the vote because I know in my heart we can beat these demons that inhabit our Congress and State Houses EASILY with a fair playing field.

When will the field be leveled Q? When will our voice and our vote count again without be diluted by corruption and cheating? I've been praying for voter id for 3 years+ and here we are 7 months from the most important election in the history of our Nation and all I hear is about 'ballot harvesting' and nothing about 'voter id'.

Please Q, give us something on this… And if you can't I'm going to assume it's because the enemy can't know whatever plan that is in place.
