anons - here is my understanding of how gold will effect the power and preatices of the fed - the main thing the fed does EVERY DAY is sell us govt. bonds - each bond is a DEBT that must be paid with interest by we the american people. Big banks and other govts. buy most of the bonds. The "money" from these sales goes to the govt. - the federal budget is so fucked up that these bonds MUST continue to be sold to pay day to day expenses of the govt and that is why our budget "deficit" keeps rising - there is NO fiscal responsibility in Congress and has not been for many decades. Big banks and the fed are happy with this - WE THE PEOPLE are getting screwed.
Yes the Fed also BUYS bonds back but this is just a trick - they buy to increase the so called "money supply" so banks can make their own balance sheets look better (think stock values for rich fucks) at least for a quarter or so….
All of this is done on the "good faith and credit" of the US govt - that is WE THE PEOPLE. There are NO actual assets securing the bonds but since these "assets" are on the books it allows the trearuty to pay bills and print MOAR paper money - again all on credit.
To compare - when WE THE PEOPLE buy a home or a car we also issue a "bond" but it is called a Promissory Note - same thing - but in order to get that money we must also OFFER THE CAR OR HOME AS "COLLATERAL" (AKA "SECURITY") for the debt (bond/note) That was if we do not pay the bank seizes the property and sells it to pay the debt - as an aside consider the role of the DOWN PAYMENT - this is so WE THE PEOPLE have skin in the game and do not want to lose it AND to cover the banks expenses if we do. (except when the govt. ORDERS banks to give loans to non-qualified borrowers with NO down payment who default then WE THE PEOPLE have to pay it back - again with MOAR DEBT - think 2008 sub-prime mortgage crisis)
Now I am NOT against leanding money at interest (I AM against usury which is charging illegal or super high interest) BUT the sole purpose of DEBT is to FINANCE a CAPITAL ASSET! This is GAAP (accounting and tax) 101 - long term assets are good to finance to spread the cost of the assets over its (long) useful life. And the IRS ONLY allows us to treat LONG TERM assets this way.
NOW contrast this with a business that is bleeding cash - yes like the US govt.!!! In the past they borrowed (issued bonds) to pay for CAPITAL ASSETS just like WE THE PEOPLE - the only exception to that was WAR EXPENSE - which was an acceptable short term ER spending. Now see why ROTH wants wars? They have used WAR lending as a trap for centuries to justify more borrowing and more spending.
So we now find ourselves borrowing money not for CAPITAL ASSETS but also FOR EVERY DAY OPERATING EXPENSES. That is bad - very very bad - as common sense tell us all. Unsustainable. Yet the FED keeps us right there and supports the blood sucking spending of the US Congress - year after year - bubbles form - they break - WE THE PEOPLE lose and GM or bansk get a bail out with MOAR DEBT FROM THE GOVT.
POTUS knows all this - and that is why he knows GOLD will stop this cycle - because once the govt. is forced to hold physical GOLD to back their paper dollars (remember a dollar bill is a loan by the govt.) - the "LOAN" IS THEN SECURED - NOT ONLY IS THERE A DOWN PAYMENT BUT THE DOLLAR IS FULLY SECURED. Once this becomes a LEGAL requirement then there can be no more fake unsecured paper money issued by the Treasury and the budgets will have to be balanced - balanced by THE GOLD. In other words if we have 1 trillion dollars in GOLD we can issue 1 trillion dollard of greenbacks - thats it - no more gold no more greenbacks. SOLID STABLE currency.
This will require RESTRUCTURE of the FED so that they are no longer permitted to sell UNSECURED BONDS - again exceptions can be made for CAPITAL ASSETS and yes, ER/WAR expenses. But NO MORE endless supplies of fake money backed by future generations.
Will the system then be perfect and problem free? of course not - but it will be the fundamental transformation that Q and POTUS have worked for. (PS - i strongly suspect Q team has already located and seized massive amounts of bullion from the wrongdoers - KEK)

The significance of the “GC” designation on the collateral is that GC collateral is fungible. That is, the Fed is not looking for specific securities; rather it is looking for any of the eligible securities that do not have scarcity value. The Desk establishes relative values across the three collateral types, and then uses these values to select the best bids presented.
The New York Fed makes payment for the securities by crediting the reserve account of the dealer's triparty agent, a commercial bank. This act of crediting the bank's account actually creates reserve balances. When the repo matures, the dealer returns the loan plus interest, and the Fed returns the collateral. The return of funds to the Fed extinguishes the reserves that were originally created by the repo.
The collateral pledged by dealers towards the repo has a “haircut” applied, which means they are valued at slightly less than market value. This haircut reflects the underlying risk of the collateral and protects the Fed against a change in its value. Haircuts are therefore specific to classes of collateral. For example, a U.S. Treasury bill might have one haircut rate, while an agency coupon might have a different haircut.
Market participants frequently use repurchase agreements and RRP transactions to acquire funds or put funds to use for short periods. However, transactions not involving the central bank do not affect total reserves in the banking system.

1) In the normal parlance, many countries have 'gone bankrupt', including many once-powerful nations, therefore one must assume the US could too.
2) The US can never 'go bankrupt' insofar as bankruptcy is a "civil, legal procedure." Since the US is a sovereign nation, it can't really be hauled into court and made to 'go bankrupt' the same way a corporation or person could be; so in the legal sense, the US can never 'go bankrupt'.
Further, as others have pointed out, the US borrows in it's own currency, so it could hypothetically print unending sums of money to technically honor its debts as they become due, thereby never "defaulting" upon its debts, which may be what you're driving at. however …
3) If you mean by 'going bankrupt' could the US ever find itself in a position whereby it defaulted upon its debts, could not pay what it owes, ceased to financially function, etc, etc - in the common parlance "go bankrupt" - then the answer is absolutely YES.
First, US debts are honored via the constant support of US law. The Congress could, at any time, revoke this pledge and simply not honor its debts. In point of fact, this has come very close twice in the last 5 years, relating to the debt ceiling debates, where the US came close to default.
(Note here that others may trot out all sorts of legal or constitutional arguments about how and why this shouldn't happen, etc, etc, but the fact is, when meltdowns happen the 'safeguards' can be gotten around; all these types of things were "illegal" in Wiemar Germany, Argentina, modern Greece, etc, etc, etc - You only get payment when there's will to pay, if there's no national will to pay, then the laws will be changed or 'interpreted' to avoid payment, pure and simple.)
Second, many assert - including many on this thread!! - that the US can never default because it controls the currency that it borrows in, ie that it can always print money to redeem its debts. This is, IMHO, rank deception; it's lying by telling the truth, to wit: Yes, the US could print money to redeem its debts, and thereby never "technically default" on its debts, but what is omitted in this telling is the even worse outcome: that this money printing would cause hyperinflation, thereby a) destroying the currency itself, b) wiping out US debt holders with inflated (ie worthless) money (thereby gaining the same practical result as actual outright default) and c) destroy the personal and corporate savings of every single American in the process. If the US ever has to outright print money to redeem its bonds it could very easily destroy and wipe out all savings, everywhere, in the American economy. So the fact that the Feds can 'print money' should be of no comfort to anyone.
[As an additional aside: Quantitative Easing, as presently conducted in DC, Europe and Japan, etc, is essentially monetizing debts, it's money printing, and has the potential to be hyperinflation in slow motion - or quick motion, if they lose control. It could, and may, end in tears, but that's for another post.]
So, in practical terms, the US could absolutely either stop paying it's bonds off or simply print money, thereby destroying the national debt, plus everyone's savings in the process.

Several young men are speaking out about a Presbyterian minister in New Jersey who “used Native American exorcism rituals, gemstones and even oral sex to extract ‘evil spirits’ from men undergoing crises in their lives,” the Bridgewater Courier News reports.
Rev. Dr. William Weaver, a pastor at Linden Presbyterian Church for 39 years and the once-chaplain for a county police department, renounced the jurisdiction of the Elizabeth Presbytery one day before a January 2019 trial was to begin over allegations by the men that go back to 1999. The allegations became public after Weaver renounced jurisdiction to avoid trial. He’s no longer an ordained minister.

One man who was allegedly abused by Weaver described his experience, the Courier reports:
Every meeting with Weaver began the same way, Meeker said. The minister told him to undress completely and lie on the bed. Then he placed an angel coin — a coin with an angel or saint printed on it used for praying — on Meeker’s forehead and wrapped a magnetic strip around his head to keep it in place.
Weaver then would place a series of stones on both of Meeker’s feet his hands and on the left side and right side of his chest.
“I was told that for him to get everything out me, I needed to lay completely still to not move the stones on my feet,” Meeker said in the impact statement. “He would then take out the feather and scan my body from my neck to my stomach.”
Weaver then opened Meeker’s mouth, placed his own mouth on top of Meeker’s mouth, and moved his tongue around “to see if I had anything in my mouth or throat,” Meeker wrote.
Then the interaction became sexual, with Weaver engaging in oral sex, according to Meeker.
“He would then ingest my ejaculate and then would spit up multiple pieces of plastic or metal into a Ziploc bag,” Meeker stated.
All three victims reported similar acts of abuse. One said he allowed it to happen because he was at such a low point in his life.
The Courier adds: “Weist, Meeker and Staunton said they informed various law enforcement organizations of their allegations against Weaver. They said they were hoping that some form of official reprimand would result from the church trial, which took more than a year to organize, but that fell apart when Weaver moved to Lakewood and renounced the jurisdiction of the Presbyterian Church. More than anything, though, the three men said they want to ensure that what they claim Weaver has done to them never happens again.”
