Woman sentenced to nearly 24 years in downtown Minneapolis vehicular murder
Latalia Anjolie Margalli was sentenced Tuesday to 285 months in state prison for the crash that left 16-year-old De'Miaya Broom dead and injured five others.

A Minneapolis woman has been sentenced to nearly 24 years in prison for killing a teen and injuring several other people with her vehicle in downtown Minneapolis last fall.
Latalia Anjolie Margalli, 23, was sentenced Tuesday to 285 months in state prison for the Sept. 14, 2024, crash at North 5th Street and Hennepin Avenue that left 16-year-old De’Miaya Broom dead and injured five others before Margalli sped away from the scene.
The criminal complaint described that Margalli had encountered a male she knew, and they started to argue. A witness who had arrived at the scene with Margalli later told police that a group of unknown females started getting involved, telling Margalli to leave him alone. The witness said the argument escalated to a fight, at which point Margalli returned to her vehicle after one of the other females sprayed mace. The other females began taunting Margalli for leaving the fight, and one of their friends jumped out of the vehicle and re-engaged in the fight, the witness said. Margalli then drove her vehicle into the group that was fighting and then fled the scene.
The chaotic scene and crash was captured on video from a bystander in the area.
A witness to the crash followed Margalli out of downtown and into north Minneapolis, where police caught up with her and placed her under arrest. Meanwhile, videos posted online at the time showed several first responders tending to the injured parties at the scene.
Video also surfaced from about an hour prior to the crash that showed the vehicle Margalli was driving with one of the eventual injured parties dancing on the hood of the vehicle as Margalli tried to coax her back into the vehicle. The bystander who filmed the video turned it over to police after hearing about the crash from Crime Watch on social media.
Margalli pleaded guilty on May 27, 2025, to one count of second-degree unintentional murder, which had been amended from the original charge of second-degree intentional murder, and five counts of second-degree assault with a dangerous weapon. Margalli was sentenced to 180 months on the murder charge and to 21 months on each of the five counts of second-degree assault, all to be served consecutively.
“My thoughts are with De’Miaya’s family, and all others impacted by this tragic incident,” Hennepin County Attorney Mary Moriarty said. “Ms. Margalli chose to drive into the crowd, taking De’Miaya’s life and irreparably harming so many people. This sentence holds Ms. Margalli accountable and protects our community.”
Margalli will receive credit for 284 days spent in jail prior to sentencing, and is scheduled for release in July 2040 after serving just under 16 years incarcerated under Minnesota’s two-thirds sentencing guidelines.

The Trump Ploy
Israel knows, America knows, and Iran knows that Iran is not making nuclear weapons. But the assertion of nuclear weapons has become the fulcrum for US and Israeli hostility against Iran. So the solution that works for everybody is for everyone to pretend that a brilliant military maneuover removes the (imaginary) threat of nuclear weapons.
Every party gets something:
-Trump satisfies his zionist supporters by saving Israel, and he successfully avoids a ruinous conflict with Iran;
-Iran avoids a ruinous conflict with America, and is alleviated from the false accusations of nuclear weapons while retaining the enrichment program;
-Israel gets its *** saved from more destruction, and Bibi has a small window to claim is connivance was successful in ending the (never really there) Iranian nuclear weapons program.
The Final Tally
Israel lost trust with the Trump administration, billions of dollars of equipment and infrastructure, many lives, the nuclear stick to whack Iran with, much of its networks in Iran, and any remaining confidence in it's defenses. Israel gained virtually nothing.
The Trump administration lost the confidence of the 'isolationist' wing of MAGA, and some fraction of the perception of American's pre-eminence, and the nuclear stick to whack Iran with. It gained being less influenced by zionist elements who had to spend their favors and share the losses of Israel noted above.
Iran lost some important people, and billions of dollars of equipment and infrastructure. It gained an evident military victory over Israel, and freedom from the false accusations about a weapons program.

The worship of Aphrodite and Adonis is probably a Greek continuation of the ancient Sumerian worship of Inanna and Dumuzid. The Greek name Ádōnis is derived from the Canaanite word ʼadōn, meaning "lord".
This word is related to Adonai, one of the titles used to refer to the God of the Hebrew Bible and still used in Judaism to the present day. The cult of Inanna and Dumuzid may have been introduced to the Kingdom of Judah during the reign of King Manasseh. Ezekiel 8:14 mentions Adonis under his earlier East Semitic name Tammuz and describes a group of women mourning Tammuz's death while sitting near the north gate of the Temple in Jerusalem.
