We've seen our vehicle insurance and homeowners insurance double in the past few years. It's a total fucking scam. We've had no claims at all (probably ever!) and nothing has changed on our end to warrant additional fees.

It's not untraceable. Every transaction is recorded. If you somehow made a wallet that isn't tied to you by name or ip address, every time you use it you're giving a chance of tying a name or address or something else to the wallet id. The government doesn't have many issues tracking people down using bitcoin last I heard.
