I’m not sure what provoked Tucker Carlson to actually follow through on this plan; I know he was deeply worried about being arrested in Russia. However, Carlson did something every U.S. journalist should do, even though they are forbidden by the State Dept from doing it.

The reason the U.S. Government doesn’t want people traveling into Russia, is specifically because people will tell the experience of their time in Russia, and that will run completely counter to the acceptable narrative. Tucker Carlson took the chance, and the intelligence apparatus is likely going bananas. WATCH: (same video as yesterday)

Ax-3 Astronauts Undock in Dragon from Station for Earth Return

The SpaceX Dragon spacecraft undocked from the space-facing port of the International Space Station’s Harmony module at 9:20 a.m. EST over the Pacific Ocean, west of Ecuador, to complete the third all-private astronaut mission to the orbiting laboratory, Axiom Mission 3 (Ax-3).

Dragon is slowly maneuvering away from the orbital laboratory into an orbital track that will return the astronaut crew and its cargo safely to Earth, targeting a splashdown off the coast of Daytona, Florida, at approximately 8:30 a.m. EST Friday, Feb. 9.

Ax-3 astronauts Michael López-Alegría, Walter Villadei, Marcus Wandt, and Alper Gezeravci will complete 18 days aboard the orbiting laboratory at the conclusion of their mission. The SpaceX Dragon will return to Earth with more than 550 pounds of science and supplies, including NASA experiments and hardware.

Joint operations with the Axiom and SpaceX mission teams end and NASA coverage of the mission concludes when the spacecraft exits the area of the space station, approximately 30 minutes after undocking.

Axiom Space leads independent mission operations for Ax-3 and will resume coverage of Dragon’s re-entry and splashdown.

What piqued my interest about this YouTube vid is a report by a journalist travelling back to the US via Mexico by road who stumbled across a sea of single man tanks secreted in the forest. They were dark green and featured a single red star. From memory, this was during another influx of illegal immigrants during Trump’s term and it was early in my involvement in the movement so I would say 2019. The report was him on camera in a car and it was evident he was rattled by what he’d seen.

SANTIAGO (Reuters) - Former Chilean President Sebastian Pinera died from asphyxiation due to submersion after the helicopter he was piloting crashed into a lake in southern Chile on Tuesday, the local prosecutor's office reported on Wednesday.

Chile's Legal Medical Service, the state coroner's office, in the southern city of Valdivia conducted an autopsy overnight on Pinera, who died at the age of 74, before his remains were sent to receive state honors in the Chilean capital on Wednesday.

A key Chinese bank used by Russian importers has stopped all settlements with Russia, setting the stage for a “logistics collapse” in the coming weeks, the business daily Vedomostireported Wednesday, citing anonymous businesspeople and financial consultants familiar with the matter.

Chouzhou Commercial Bank, which became the main transaction channel for Russian importers after the invasion of Ukraine, reportedly notified clients last week that it was terminating relations with all Russian and Belarusian organizations.

With Chinese New Year scheduled for Feb. 10-17, an “almost imminent logistics collapse” will hobble exports to Russia at least until March, one of Vedomosti's sources was quoted as saying.

There is “very little chance” that Russian imports from China would resume after the public holiday, said Pavel Bazhanov, an expert in Chinese law.

Chouzhou Commercial Bank’s transactions stopped across major payment systems, including SWIFT, China’s CIPS and Russia’s SPFS, one of Vedomosti’s sources was quoted as saying.

Legal expert Bazhanov said the Chinese cross-border payment systems PingPong and Xtransfer have also halted settlements.

“Even if the movement of money through national systems isn’t visible to the Americans or Europeans, it’s all clearly reflected in the reporting that Western counterparts may demand from the bank,” another source was quoted as saying.

Russia’s Central Bank, the People’s Bank of China and Chouzhou did not respond to requests for comment, according to Vedomosti.

The Kremlin has declined to comment on earlier reports that Chinese state banks were stepping up compliance with Russian clients amid threats of secondary U.S. sanctions.

In December, Washington threatened to cut off access to its financial system for foreign banks linked to companies that support Russia’s defense industry.

Beijing has not joined Western sanctions against Russia in response to its invasion of Ukraine, and some of the country's largest banks meanwhile have extended billions of dollars worth of credit to Russia since the start of the war.

China has, nevertheless, largely complied with Western sanctions.

President Donald Trump’s White House lawyer Ty Cobb is retiring from his post, likely at the end of the month, according to a New York Times report published Wednesday afternoon. The attorney, who told the Timeshe let the president know of his intentions to retire weeks ago, will be replaced by Washington lawyer Emmet T. Flood, who represented former President Bill Clintonthroughout his impeachment.

“It has been an honor to serve the country in this capacity at the White House,” Cobb told the paper. “I wish everybody well moving forward.”

Mr. Flood initially spoke with the White House last summer about working for the president, but the talks ultimately fell apart because Mr. Flood did not want to deal with Mr. Trump’s longtime New York lawyer, Marc E. Kasowitz, who was overseeing the president’s dealings with the special counsel at the time.

Mr. Flood’s hiring has not been made final, the people cautioned, noting Mr. Trump’s practice of reneging on personnel decisions after they are reported in the press.

Earlier on Wednesday morning, theWhite House lawyer said a sit-down interview between Trump and Special Counsel Robert Mueller is “certainly not off the table” during a Wednesday interview with ABC News.

“It’s certainly not off the table and people are working hard to make decisions and work towards an interview,” Cobb said on the Wednesday morning episode of ABC’s “Powerhouse Politics” podcast.

Lawyers for the president have sparred over whether he should meet with the Special Counsel to discuss possible connections his 2016 campaign had with Russian officials that he may have been aware of. Trump first hired Cobb in July 2017 to lead his administration’s response to the ongoing Russia probe. In a statement, White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said “For several weeks Ty Cobb has been discussing his retirement and last week he let Chief of Staff Kelly know he would retire at the end of this month.”

President Trump has openly discussed firing his lawyer Ty Cobb, according to a report in The New York Times.

The Times reported that Trump has talked with close associates about the possibility of dismissing Cobb.

But Trump has told Cobb he does not plan to let him go, the newspaper added. The reassurance was reportedly part of an attempt to push back against the idea that Trump’s team is in disarray following questions from the Times.

Trump’s lead lawyer,=John Dowd, has also reportedly considered resigning from his job due to a lack of control over the president.

Dowd denied the report, telling the Times in an interview Monday he does not plan to leave his post.

“I’m sitting here working on the president’s case right now,” he said in a telephone interview on Monday night.

It was announced Monday that Trump is adding prominent white-collar attorney Joseph diGenova to his personal legal team, the latest sign of an increasingly aggressive stance toward special counsel Robert Mueller.

The White House insists there are no plans to fire Mueller. But Trump’s own tweets and his decision to hire diGenova — a former U.S. attorney who has attacked the FBI and Department of Justice in conservative media outlets — are the latest signs that the president is moving to discredit Mueller’s probe into Russian election meddling and possible collusion between Trump’s campaign and Moscow.
