Sweden to close Nord Stream sabotage probe – German media

An official announcement regarding the high-profile attack on European energy infrastructure is expected this week

Sweden will this week announce the end of its investigation into the sabotage of the Nord Stream gas pipelines, German media claimed on Tuesday.

The reports come after Swedish prosecutor Mats Ljungqvist told the Expressen national newspaper on Monday thathe will disclose a major development in the case within days.Built to deliver Russian natural gas to Germany via the Baltic Sea, the Nord Stream pipelines were damaged by a series of powerful explosions in September 2022. Germany, Sweden, and Denmark each launched their own national probes into the incident after failing to agree on a joint effort.

Several leading German news outlets, including Suddeutsche Zeitung, NDR, WDR and Zeit, have predicted thatSweden will close its investigation after failing to identify any suspects. The move will benefit German investigators, according to the news outlets, as Sweden will be able to share evidence with them once its own case is closed.

Investigators are reportedlyfocusing their attention on a yacht named Andromeda, which was allegedly rented in Poland by a Ukrainian citizen before the bombing, and may have carried the team responsible for it, according to a working theory. Warsaw has been accused of stonewalling requestsfor assistance from fellow EU members andfeeding them disinformation to scapegoat Russia, the Wall Street Journal claimed last month.

Skeptics of the Andromeda theory have argued that the depth at which the pipelines were blown up would have made it impossible for divers lacking highly specialized skills and equipment to plant the explosives.

American investigative journalist Seymour Hersh claimed in February 2023 that the incident was actually a clandestine US-Norwegian operation, personally ordered by President Joe Biden to ensure the EU’s decoupling from Russian energy supplies.

Washington and Oslo have rejected the allegations, although senior officials in Moscow have said they find Hersh’s reporting plausible. Russian President Vladimir Putin has stated that the sabotage was “most likely”carried out by the US “or someone at their instruction.”

SUDAN

The Sudanese Mineral Resources Company announced the production of more than 18 tons of gold in 2022.

The body described it as the highest productivity in the history of the mineral sector in Sudan.

The Director of the General Administration for Supervision and Control of Production Companies, Engineer Alaeldin Ali, said in a press statement on Monday (Jan. 02) that productivity increased by one ton and 611 kilograms, compared to the highest production in the last period, which was achieved in 2019.

The 18 tons and 637 kilograms of gold produced in 2022 originated from the production of the organised sector of concession companies and companies dealing with traditional mining waste.

It is estimated that over 50% of Sudan’s gold is smuggled out of the country, with proceeds frequently used to finance the internal conflict.

Forgive me if I haven't been paying attention to the green new bullshit, but I just read something I did not know.

Did you know methane gas can be burned(like any gas , yes I knew that).

Sewer processing facilities can burn it up so that it can produce electricity.

Enough electricity that it can benefit the cities involved. In the article, it seems the plant involved in the story about an upgrade to an old plant, that the people are almost giddy about it.

So now, the last I read about methane gas is that it is so bad we need to kill all cattle. Kill most people, so that a few people and the planet can survive.

The way I think about is that all actual bullshit can be collected. It can be composted. The gas collected from it. Then, when the composting is finished, the remaining product is a natural fertilizer which can be used.

We can have our beef and electricity and fertilizer too!
