These and perhaps other points about the allegation inspired such confidence in House Oversight Committee member Rep. Anna Paulina Luna that after reviewing the 1023, she declared, “There’s no doubt in my mind that Joe Biden is guilty of bribery 100%.”

Democrats’ efforts to dismiss the bribery claim — including seeking to conflate it with information purportedly provided to the FBI by Rudy Giuliani — have been comprehensively debunked.

To the extent the bribe did occur, beyond the immediate ramifications, it would cast a pall over U.S. policy with respect to Ukraine under President Biden and suggest that the purpose of the first impeachment of Donald Trump was to cover up and divert attention from such Biden corruption.

Even if no bribe occurred, the allegation should renew Americans’ focus on the Biden family “business.” The public must demand a complete accounting of what money the Bidens made, from whom, in exchange for what, when, to what extent it flowed directly or indirectly to Joe Biden, as well as what the president knew and when he knew it regarding the family’s dealings.

The seeming compromise at play calls into question the foreign policy of this administration, as well as our national security. Meanwhile, where is our primary law enforcement agency in all this — considering how consumed it has been with foreign interference in the U.S. political system?

Family Business

Herein lies the second potential scandal at play: Did the FBI and DOJ protect the Bidens, rather than the U.S. national interest, by turning a blind eye to their dubious dealings? This was the impetus behind the Comer and Grassley-led pursuit of the FD-1023 in the first place.

As the colleagues asserted in their initial letter calling on the FBI and DOJ to produce the form, “it remains unclear what steps, if any, were taken to investigate the matter. The significant public interest in assessing the FBI’s response to this information, as well as growing concern about the DOJ and the FBI’s track record of allowing political bias to infect their decision-making process, necessitate exacting congressional oversight.”

The context for these concerns is important. Over the last several years, whistleblowers have come to Grassley with information illustrating the hyper-politicization of these agencies. In July 2022, Grassley wrote a letter to the DOJ and FBI detailing certain such disclosures. Included among them is the allegation that during 2020, the FBI developed information about Hunter Biden’s criminal financial and related activity — only to sit on it. In August of that year, an FBI intelligence analyst “opened an assessment … used … to improperly discredit negative Hunter Biden information as disinformation,” which “caused investigative activity to cease,” Grassley said. That information was apparently falsely labeled “disinformation.”

In September 2020, the FBI “placed their findings with respect to whether reporting was disinformation in a restricted access sub-file reviewable only by the particular agents responsible for uncovering the specific information.”

This would be consistent with the favored treatment the FBI and DOJ provided Hillary Clinton during the 2016 election, which the Durham Report covers extensively.

Perhaps not coincidentally, the intelligence analyst in question was Brian Auten, a key figure in Russiagate. Auten was responsible for leading the vetting of a Steele dossier his team could never corroborate. He withheld key information from the FISA court pertaining to the Carter Page warrant applications.

Whistleblowers also made Grassley and Comer aware of the existence of the FD-1023. In a June 6, 2023 speech, Grassley linked the two sets of disclosures, asking, “Did the FBI try to improperly use the August 2020 Brian Auten assessment to shut down the 1023 reporting [of a Biden bribe] by falsely labeling it disinformation?”

Grassley and Johnson themselves may well have been targeted by the FBI in a related Biden protection scheme. In the July-August 2020 period, Democrats appear to have instigated, and the FBI seems to have colluded with them in, an information operation to publicly discredit the Grassley-Johnson probe with false claims it was corrupted by foreign disinformation.

The DOJ’s apparent protection of the Biden family during and after the 2020 election raises a critical question: What do these agencies know about Biden family dealings, when did they learn it, and what have they done about it?

For his part, Comer has said that based on his review of the FD-1023 form, “there are other forms, as well … we don’t know how many form 1023s are pertaining to Biden-bribery.”

FBI Cover-up

The third potential scandal concerns the FBI’s seeming cover-up of its efforts to protect the Biden family. Why exactly did the bureau go through so much trouble to keep the 1023 from congressional investigators?

The FBI obstructed congressional oversight efforts in myriad ways, slowly replying to the subpoena for the document, briefing investigators about tangential topics, refusing for a period to even confirm the document’s existence, calling for investigators to narrow the search, then allowing only the chairman and ranking member of the House Oversight Committee to review the document in camera and without taking notes. The FBI finally relented and provided the document to the full committee — but not before a draft contempt resolution was released.

Such obstructionism would be laughable were it not so serious. This kind of behavior illustrates a broader pattern. Our national security and law enforcement apparatus operates as if it were above Congress — and even, it seems, as if it were above the law.

At this point, the pattern is consistent and exhausting. Consider Russiagate: Republicans seek out documents they believe illustrate deep state hyper-politicization, weaponization, or corruption. The deep state and its media stenographers cry “state secrets,” and “sources and methods” to claim transparency threatens security. Ultimately, if we are lucky enough to get the documents — albeit often in heavily redacted form — we find Republican concerns to be more than merited, and the deep state to be motivated by the hiding of its own malfeasance.

In the case of the Biden bribe-alleging FD-1023, the FBI went with the sources and methods alibi — despite Republican assurances that they would accept the document with appropriate safeguards for the informant.

After Comer reviewed the document — and before the rest of the committee had a chance to do the same — Luna tweeted, “The FBI is afraid their informant will be killed if unmasked, based on the info he has brought forward about the Biden family.”

This was a remarkable statement on two levels. First, are we really to believe the FBI could not modify the document to protect the informant — and does the FBI still stand by its position today having now shared the document with the full House Oversight Committee? Or maybe the FBI was really more concerned about shielding the document because of what it might reveal about Biden and the FBI’s kid-glove treatment of him and his family.

Second, if the FBI does genuinely believe the informant could be killed, that itself is indicative of the allegation’s veracity. Whom does the FBI fear exactly? Foreign actors? Domestic ones?

Despite Wray’s skirting of contempt of Congress, it is clear that this trio of apparent scandals reflects our ruling class’s total and utter contempt for the American people.

Landmark Case in Germany: BioNTech Faces Lawsuit Over COVID-19 Vaccine Side Effects

In a landmark development, BioNTech SE, the German biotechnology company that partnered with Pfizer Inc. to produce one of the first COVID-19 vaccines, is now facing its first legal challenge in Germany over vaccine side effects.

In an unprecedented case that could potentially spark hundreds of similar claims across Germany, the plaintiff – a woman who has chosen to remain anonymous due to Germany’s privacy laws – is suing BioNTech for a minimum of €150,000 ($161,500) in damages.

According to Reuters, she cites “damages for bodily harm as well as compensation for unspecified material damage,” as detailed by Hamburg’s regional court and the law firm representing her, Rogert & Ulbrich.

Side effects listed in the suit include upper-body pain, swollen extremities, fatigue, and sleeping disorders attributed to the BioNTech Pfizer vaccine.

The landmark case’s first hearing will take place on Monday.

More lawsuits are coming in Germany. Rogert & Ulbrich reports filing about 250 cases for clients seeking damages for COVID-19 vaccine side effects. Another law firm, Caesar-Preller, claims to represent 100 cases, collectively covering almost all such cases in Germany. A few similar cases have been filed in Italy.

Reuters reported:

Tobias Ulbrich, a lawyer at Rogert & Ulbrich, told Reuters he aimed to challenge in court the assessment made by European Union regulators and German vaccine assessment bodies that the BioNTech shot has a positive risk-benefit profile.

German pharmaceutical law states that makers of drugs or vaccines are only liable to pay damages for side-effects if “medical science” shows that their products cause disproportionate harm relative to their benefits or if the label information is wrong.

BioNTech, which holds the marketing authorisation in Germany for the shot it developed with Pfizer <PFE.N>, said it concluded after careful consideration that the case was without merit.

“The positive benefit-risk profile of Comirnaty remains positive and the safety profile has been well characterised,” the biotech firm said, referring to the vaccine’s brand name.

It noted about 1.5 billion people had received the shot across the world, including more than 64 million in Germany.

The European Medicines Agency (EMA) also claimed that BioNTech’s Comirnaty, the most prevalent vaccine in the Western world, is “safe for use.”

EMA claimed that vaccines have helped save almost ’20 million lives globally’ in the first year of the pandemic alone. While acknowledging a ‘rare’ risk of myocarditis and pericarditis, two types of heart inflammation, primarily in young males post-vaccination, the EMA affirms that safety monitoring was not compromised during fast-track assessments.

Reuters reported that the liability issue remains uncertain, especially regarding who would pay legal costs or compensation if the plaintiff wins. EU’s bulk purchase agreements with vaccine manufacturers, including BioNTech-Pfizer, reportedly contain full or partial liability waivers for legal costs and potential compensation, which could force EU governments to bear some costs.

Germany, like many countries, has a no-fault compensation program for individuals who suffer permanent harm from vaccines. However, participation in this program does not preclude an individual from seeking damages separately.

In contrast, the United States has granted manufacturers immunity from liability for COVID vaccines receiving regulatory approval.

Grassley demanded answers on "what, if anything has the Justice Department and FBI done to investigate?"

"The Justice Department and FBI must show their work," Grassley said. "They no longer deserve the benefit of the doubt."

The FBI brought the document to Capitol Hill last week after House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer subpoenaed it last month. The FBI briefed Comer and committee Ranking Member Jamie Raskin, D-Md., on the form in a SCIF on Capitol Hill, but did not turn over the document. Comer threatened to hold FBI Director Christopher Wray in contempt of Congress.

The FBI made a further accommodation and later brought the form to a secure setting on Capitol Hill for all Oversight Committee members to view, but the document is still not in the committee's possession.

A source familiar told Fox News Digital on Monday that the FBI did not redact the section of the FD-1023 referencing the audio recordings when showing the document to solely to Comer and Raskin, but did so for the full committee briefing. The source said Grassley and Comer had already seen the form, even prior to the FBI sharing it with Congress.

Fox News Digital was exclusively briefed on the contents of the form last week.

Sources told Fox News Digital that the confidential human source told the FBI that the Burisma executive was speaking with the confidential source to "get advice on the best way to go forward" in 2015 and 2016 in gaining U.S. oil rights and getting involved with a U.S. oil company.

According to the FD-1023 form, the confidential human source said the Burisma executive discussed Hunter’s role on the board. The confidential human source questioned why the Burisma executive needed his or her advice in acquiring access to U.S. oil if he had Hunter Biden on the board. The Burisma executive answered by referring to Hunter Biden as "dumb."

The Burisma executive explained to the confidential source that Burisma had to "pay the Bidens" because Ukrainian prosecutor Viktor Shokin was investigating Burisma, and explained how difficult it would be to enter the U.S. market in the midst of that investigation.

The confidential source further detailed that conversation, suggesting to the Burisma executive that he "pay the Bidens $50,000 each," to which the Burisma executive replied, it is "not $50,000," it is "$5 million."

"$5 million for one Biden, $5 million for the other Biden," the Burisma executive told the confidential human source, according to a source familiar with the document.

A source familiar said according to the document, the $5 million payments appeared to reference a kind of "retainer" Burisma intended to pay the Bidens to deal with a number of issues, including the investigation led by Shokin. Another source referred to the arrangement as a "pay-to-play" scheme.

Sources familiar told Fox News Digital that the confidential human source believes that the $5 million payment to Joe Biden and the $5 million payment to Hunter Biden occurred, based on his or her conversations with the Burisma executive.

The confidential source said the Burisma executive told him he "paid" the Bidens in such a manner "through so many different bank accounts" that investigators would not be able to "unravel this for at least 10 years."

The document then makes reference to "the Big Guy," which, has been said to be a reference to Joe Biden.

The Burisma executive told the confidential source that he "didn’t pay the Big Guy directly."

Sources said the Burisma executive appears to be at a "very, very high level" of the company. One source familiar suggested the confidential source could be referring to the head of Burisma, Mykola Zlochevsky, but said the name of the Burisma executive is redacted in the document.

Biden has acknowledged that when he was vice president, he successfully pressured Ukraine to fire prosecutor Viktor Shokin. At the time, Shokin was investigating Burisma Holdings, and at the time, Hunter had a highly-lucrative role on the board receiving thousands of dollars per month. The then-vice president threatened to withhold $1 billion of critical U.S. aid if Shokin was not fired.

The confidential source, according to the sources familiar with the FD-1023 form, told the Burisma executive he should "get away" from the Bidens and said the executive should "not want to be involved" with them.

A source familiar with the document told Fox News Digital that the confidential human source goes on to detail a later conversation with the Burisma executive following the 2016 presidential election. The confidential source asked the Burisma executive if he was "upset" that Donald Trump won.

The source said the Burisma executive told the confidential source that he was "an oracle," referring to his or her advice to "get away" from the Bidens due to fears of potential investigations into their dealings.

The White House has maintained that President Biden has never been involved in his son's business dealings and has never discussed them with him. And it has noted that removing Shokin was administration policy at the time.

Hunter Biden is currently under federal investigations for his "tax affairs." The investigation began in 2018 and was prompted by suspicious foreign transactions.

The White House declined to comment, pointing to a statement by Joe Biden Thursday calling the allegations "a bunch of malarky."
