Two of Congressman Gerry Connolly’s staffers were assaulted by a man armed with a baseball bat on Monday morning.

The assault took place at the Democrat lawmaker’s Fairfax, Virginia office.

“This morning, an individual entered my District Office armed with a baseball bat and asked for me before committing an act of violence against two members of my staff,” Congressman Connolly said in a statement.

The two staffers were hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries.

The suspect is in custody.

We here at The Patriot Post have hardly mentioned the guy’s name since just before the 2022 election, when he was doling out advice to his fellow Democrats, telling them not to be “buzzkills” and such.

We ask because we think he’s got some ‘splaining to do. “Scandal-free” Barack, you see, was the guy who selected Joe Biden to be his vice president — and then allowed the Big Guy to preside over an elaborate and lucrative influence-peddling operation right out of the White House. Just ask the Chinese. Or the Ukrainians. Or the Romanians.

Obama, of course, was also the same guy who shamelessly wrote in the most recent of his three — count 'em, three! — memoirs: “Without exception, we avoided scandal. I’d made clear at the start of my administration that I’d have zero-tolerance for ethical lapses, and people who had a problem with that didn’t join us in the first place.”

An aside about those three memoirs: In all, our 44th president has written more than 1,500 pages about His Excellence. If you’re keeping track, that’s 400 pages more than Tolstoy’s War and Peace. And the guy is clearly becoming more loquacious with age, as his most recent nod to narcissism, A Promised Land, which lists for $45.00 but can be had for a more properly priced $1.80 on Amazon, checks in at a boat-anchoring, narcolepsy-inducing 768 pages.

Our point is the guy loves to talk about himself. He always has. But he’s been strangely silent since it became clear that the first executive decision he made in his life was to select a corrupt and deceitful backslapper as his veep.

As Congressman James Comer said, Obama knew “what Joe Biden was doing the last year of his vice presidency,” but he chose to ignore it. “He knew his son [Hunter Biden] was no good, and he knew this was nothing but a political liability not just for our country, not just for the Democrat Party, but for Obama’s legacy.”

Indeed, where has the media been during all this? Why haven’t they beaten a path to Barack’s oceanfront home there on Martha’s Vineyard? Or his oceanfront home there in Hawaii? Why, it’s as if they’re afraid to ask him a simple question about his second-in-command: What did you know and when did you know it?

The answer is important, because unless he can somehow thread a needle of plausible deniability, Barack Obama will expose himself as either complicit in the corruption or utterly asleep at the switch. It’s one or the other.

Florida Republican Congressman Byron Donalds is practically begging the media to do its job: “You guys in the press, this is easy pickings. This is Pulitzer Prize stuff,” he implored.

Of course, The New York Times and The Washington Post are too busy admiring the Pulitzers they got for their holier-than-Swiss-cheese reporting on the Russia collusion hoax.

The FBI has long defended its conduct in probe, but Durham said his probe provided a "sobering" look at miscondict

Special Counsel John Durham released a damning final report Monday after more than three years investigating the Russia collusion probe, declaring the FBI had no verified intelligence or evidence when it opened up the Crossfire Hurricane probe of President Donald Trump's campaign in the summer of 2016.

"Neither U.S. law enforcement nor the Intelligence Community appears to have possessed any actual evidence of collusion in their holdings at the commencement of the Crossfire Hurricane investigation," Durham wrote in a 300-plus page report sent to Congress and others and obtained by Just the News. DOJ was slated to make the report public later Monday.

The prosecutor faulted the FBI and Justice Department for failing to follow their own standards and allowing a probe to persist, including the surveillance of an American citizen without basis under the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act.

"Based on the review of Crossfire Hurricane and related intelligence activities, we concluded the Department and the FBI failed to uphold their important mission of strict fidelity to the law in connection with certain events and activities described in this report," Durham wrote.

"The FBI personnel also repeatedly disregarded important requirements when they continued to seek renewals of that FISA surveillance while acknowledging both then and in hindsight that they did not genuinely believe there was probably cause to believe that the target was knowingly engaged in clandestine intelligence activities on behalf of foreign power."

The report's release touched off instant outrage and impact on Capitol Hill, where House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan tweeted he planned to summon Durham for testimony next week.

Durham specifically faulted the FBI for relying on evidence from Hillary Clinton's campaign, including the Steele dossier, saying leadership lacked the necessary distrust of politically motivated allegations.

"Our investigation also revealed that senior FBI personnel displayed a serious lack of analytical rigor towards the information that they received, especially information received from politically affiliated persons and entities. This information in part triggered and sustained Crossfire Hurricane and contributed to the subsequent need for Special Counsel Mueller's investigation," he wrote.

"In particular, there was significant reliance on investigative leads provided or funded (directly or indirectly) by Trump's political opponents. The Department did not adequately examine or question these materials and the motivations of those providing them, even when at about the same time the Director of the FBI and others learned of significant and potentially contrary intelligence."

As The Gateway Pundit reported, the Maricopa County attorney Tim La Rue admitted Friday that signature verification is “subjective” and “something of an art” that is open to the interpretation of whatever activist reviews the signature. “It’s not really an exact science,” stated La Rue.

Under, A.R.S 16-449 it mandates that whenever something like that is done, the logic & accuracy test must be performed again. It states that both the automatic voting tabulating equipment and the software need to be tested. That voided all 446 tabulators. That on top of the tabulation test failures and the failures on Election Day, displays clear misconduct & intent. AMERICAN OVERSIGHT RECEIVES INDICATION THAT DURHAM INVESTIGATION HAS CLOSED

On Friday, the Department of Justice dropped a key objection to the release of more than 4,500 pages of documents related to the Durham investigation, the Trump-era inquiry into the origins of the FBI’s probe of the Trump campaign’s ties to Russia. The DOJ had previously withheld the records claiming that their disclosure would interfere with an ongoing law enforcement investigation. Instead of filing an anticipated brief that would have defended the withholdings, the department withdrew its assertion of the “ongoing investigation” exemption — strongly suggesting that the Durham investigation has been closed.

The reversal was announced in a motion filed in the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit American Oversight brought in August 2019 to compel the release of documents related to the Durham inquiry, including communications between Durham and senior Justice Department officials and any communications Durham or DOJ officials may have had with the Trump White House or Congress.

Statement from American Oversight Executive Director Heather Sawyer:

“The Durham investigation remains an alarming example of former President Trump’s weaponization of the Justice Department for his own political ends. Tasked with proving Trump’s allegations of a ‘deep state’ plot against him — and given nearly four years and millions of taxpayer dollars to do so — Durham found no wrongdoing. It’s long past time for the American people to see the full extent of the inquiry’s work and its influences and we look forward to the release of these records.”

American Oversight first requested the records in June 2019, after then Attorney General William Barr had instructed Durham to initiate the politicized investigation of the roots of the inquiry into potential ties between Russia and Trump’s 2016 campaign. That original FBI inquiry ultimately led to the larger investigation headed by Special Counsel Robert Mueller.

Lawyers for the Justice Department had previously argued the government could properly withhold more than 4,500 pages of records and one voicemail audio recording responsive to American Oversight’s requests under the FOIA exemption designed to protect ongoing investigations.

The New York Times reported in January that, after four years, the Durham inquiry was winding down “without uncovering anything like the deep state plot alleged by Mr. Trump and suspected by Mr. Barr.” Records previously obtained by American Oversight through the litigation revealed that Barr met frequently with Durham in the period directly after the Mueller investigation ended — 18 times in seven months — raising questions about potential political interference.

JOHN DURHAM’S POLITICIZED INVESTIGATION — AND WILLIAM BARR’S ROLE IN IT

Shortly after Mueller wrapped up his Russia investigation, the attorney general announced a new inquiry — one that would examine the origins of Mueller’s investigation and would be led by federal prosecutor John Durham. Both Barr’s previous criticism of Mueller’s probe as well as his problematic public comments since announcing the new inquiry have raised serious concerns about transparency, misconduct, and the political motivations behind Durham’s investigation.

Even before he joined the Trump administration as attorney general, William Barr’s stance on Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into Russian election interference was well-documented. In 2018, while a private citizen (who had also interviewed to be President Donald Trump’s personal attorney), Barr sent then-Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein a memo outlining his misgivings about the Mueller investigation. (According to documents obtained by American Oversight, Barr shared this memo with Rosenstein over text.)

When Mueller finished his investigation and issued a report detailing Russia’s efforts to aid Trump’s 2016 election chances, Barr wasted no time in submitting a distorted summary of Mueller’s findings and prompting the president to inaccurately declare that he had received “total exoneration.” A month later, Barr raised eyebrows when he stated during congressional testimony that “spying [on the Trump campaign] had occurred,” implying illegitimate actions on the part of the FBI. And a month after that, Barr announced that U.S. Attorney John Durham would be leading an investigation into the origins of the Russia probe, which was criticized as a political effort to delegitimize Mueller’s findings.

American Oversight began looking into the Durham inquiry as part of our broader investigation into the politicization of the Justice Department. Our investigation has uncovered records showing multiple meetings between Barr and Durham around the time of the release of the Mueller report — including one just a day after Barr sent his summary to Congress. “The frequency of their face-to-face meetings during this critical time — while Mueller’s office wrapped up its work — raised questions for several former Justice Department lawyers,” wrote CNN in reporting on those records.

Additionally, the records obtained by American Oversight also reveal that Seth DuCharme, then a counselor to the attorney general, was also present at several of those meetings. DuCharme is now the U.S. attorney for the Eastern District of New York (EDNY), in Brooklyn, having swapped places with Richard Donoghue. While at EDNY, an office that has been investigating multiple cases involving Trump associates, Donoghue had been tasked by Barr with overseeing all Ukraine-related investigations.

Meanwhile, Barr’s public comments about the progress of Durham’s inquiry not only fly in the face of Justice Department policy disfavoring such statements; they also make the agency’s justification for withholding documents from public release — that they are exempt from disclosure because they relate to an “ongoing investigation” — seem hypocritical and potentially political. Barr’s July 2020 refusal to commit to waiting until after the presidential election to release the findings of Durham’s probe further deepens the tinge of politicization.

Russian Jet Intercepts French, German Aircraft Near Border; Belarus Puts Troops On High Alert

Russia's defense ministry on Monday said the military scrambled fighter jets in response to surveillance aircraft from NATO countries approaching its border. Interfax reported based on the statement that German and French aircraft approached the Russian border in the Baltic region, before being warned off by the Russian fighters.

"Two air targets were detected approaching Russia's state border," the defense ministry said. "In order to identify the targets and prevent the Russian state border being violated, an Su-27 fighter from the Baltic Fleet air force was scrambled."

"Russia said the flights were being conducted by a German P-3C patrol aircraft and a French Atlantic-2 maritime patrol jet," Reuters details further based on the statement. "After the Russian jet was scrambled and the French and German ones turned away from Russia, the Su-27 returned to base, the defense ministry said."

These types of intercepts which occur not infrequently over both the Baltic and Black sea regions have grown more dangerous in the wake of the March incident which resulted in the downing of a MQ-9 Reaper drone in the Black Sea.

"The U.S. military’s declassified 42-second color footage shows a Russian Su-27 approaching the back of the MQ-9 Reaper drone and releasing fuel as it passes, the Pentagon said," the AP described of the incident at the time. "Dumping the fuel appeared to be aimed at blinding the drone’s optical instruments to drive it from the area." The Reaper drone then crashed, also after a reported aerial collision (clipped) with one of the Russian fighters.

The Pentagon subsequently said it would temporarily restrict the extent of its flights which are near Russian border regions, given the threat.

Meanwhile Russia and its ally Belarus are taking further steps to secure sensitive border areas near Ukraine in the wake of the latest deadly aerial incidents, particularly the reported downing of four Russian military aircraft in one day, on Saturday. Crucially the downings of two Russian fighter jets and two helicopters all happened in the same region near the Ukrainian border, though precise details have remained unclear, and multiple pilot deaths had been reported.

President Alexander Lukashenko has said he's put Belarusian troops on a high state of alert over the apparent cross-border attacks, given the Byransk region borders Belarus and Ukraine. According to his words in Interfax (machine translation):

"Three days after the events near us. I mean, in the Bryansk region, when four aircraft were shot down. We were forced to respond to this. Since then, we have been on high alert - our troops," Lukashenka said during visits to the Central Command Post of the Air Force and Air Defense Forces.

"I am interested in the situation around the country. And, of course, the directions and prospects for the development of this situation. Briefly. Without intimidation. About what is happening and what we expect in the short term," the president added."

ByteDance is the parent company of popular video-sharing app TikTok

A former ByteDance executive has alleged in a lawsuit filed against the tech company that Chinese regime officials had unfettered access to the company’s data when he worked there, including data stored in the United States.

Yintao Yu, 36, was the head of engineering for ByteDance’s U.S. operations from August 2017 to November 2018. He filed a wrongful dismissal lawsuit against the company in San Francisco Superior Court on May 12.

Yu alleges that he was fired from ByteDance—the parent company of the Chinese video app TikTok—after reporting instances of alleged misconduct at the company to his bosses, who dismissed his concerns.

Yu accused ByteDance of stealing content from other platforms, such as Instagram and Snapchat. He said the tech giant served as a “propaganda tool” for the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) by manipulating content.

He claimed to have witnessed ByteDance engineers manipulating the algorithm on Douyin, the Chinese version of TikTok, to promote content expressing hatred for Japan and demote content showing support for the Hong Kong protests.

Yu said the CCP had a special unit at ByteDance’s offices in Beijing that provided guidance on how the company could advance “core Communist values.”

Yu said the regime officials had the ability to turn off the Chinese version of ByteDance’s apps and maintained access to all company data, including information stored in the United States.

Yu is seeking punitive damages, lost earnings, and 220,000 ByteDance shares that weren’t vested by the time he was fired.

ByteDance didn’t respond by press time to a request by The Epoch Times for comment.

TikTok has come under increased scrutiny in Washington because of national security concerns and the potential that U.S. users’ private information could land in the hands of the CCP, with many lawmakers advocating for a nationwide ban of the app.

ByteDance has repeatedly denied that TikTok data is handed to Beijing, with the company claiming that it stores U.S. user data on servers outside China.

DEVELOPING: Mass Shooting in Farmington, New Mexico – 2 Officers Shot – 3 Civilians Dead – One Suspect Dead

At least one suspect is dead after a mass shooting in Farmington, New Mexico.

The ATF is on scene.

According to initial reports, 3 civilians are dead and 2 officers have been injured in the shooting.

Multiple victims have been rushed to a nearby hospital.

Their condition is not known.

Police say Dustin Avenue from Ute Street to Apache street is closed as they investigate the incident.

The information was first released by Chris Gleason as was first published at The Gateway Pundit back in December 2022. Chris Gleason found a massive number of “Campaign Finance Mules” making hundreds, even thousands of donations per year.

It turns out that millions in donations were sent to candidates like Raphael Warnock from “money mules” around the country. Warnock was the top beneficiary of all 2022 Democrat candidates of this money distribution scheme. In April 2022, engineer Chris Gleason began working on his first data project involving elections. The project was tied to the 2022 midterm election. This was unique for Chris because he had been involved in tech and data for the majority of his adult career although he never used his expertise on a political project. What he and a small group of others determined was that Washington State had a massive network of campaign finance mules. They identified massive numbers of registered voters in Washington State who were making thousands of donations to Democrat party candidates nationwide and progressive PACs. The individual donation amounts were not large. These donations were small and had been intentionally set up to avoid throwing up reg flags.

These “Money Mules” were not wealthy individuals. They were average Americans, living in an average house in an average neighborhood. Or at least that is how it would appear. The investigative group observed massive patterns and red flags in the data. One of the biggest flags was that all of these campaign finance mules in Washington State had been making donations to Raphael Warnock in Georgia.

Another massive pattern discovered was that these very active donors were all unemployed. It appeared that their full-time job was making donations to Democrat candidates and their campaigns.

How is it that so many unemployed people in Washington State would be donating with such frequency to a Senate race in Georgia? Are people in Washington State more politically active and motivated to give money than the average American?

Chris asked “active” donors what they would think if he told them that he had identified voters who were making thousands of campaign donations in an election year. They all had the same response. “Anyone making that amount of donations is laundering money and is part of a criminal enterprise.”
