IRS Whistleblower Will Share His Allegations Against AG Merrick Garland Lying to Congress

White House scandals spokesman Ian Sams issued a statement in April denying Joe Biden was behind the political interference in the investigation of First Son Hunter Biden.

In April an IRS whistleblower accused the Biden administration of interfering in Hunter Biden’s ongoing criminal investigation. The statement by Sams came just hours after White House Press Secretary Karine Jean Pierre declined to comment on the whistleblower complaint.

The whistleblower exposed a deep coverup of the Hunter Biden investigation that involved Attorney General Merrick Garland.

The New York Post reported on Thursday night the Attorney General Merrick Garland IS the “senior” Biden official mentioned by the whistleblower who is preventing Hunter Biden from being criminally charged.

On Friday the legal counsel for the IRS whistleblower told Just the News that his client will share his allegations with Congress.

The legal counsel for an IRS whistleblower who has alleged that the Department of Justice has been working to undermine an investigation into Hunter Biden said Friday that he expects his client “will be able to share his allegations with Congress.”

In late April, Just the News reported that an IRS whistleblower was alleging that federal prosecutors had engaged in “preferential treatment and politics” to prevent tax charges from being filed against the president’s son.

The whistleblower’s allegations appear to contradict sworn testimony from Attorney General Merrick Garland that Delaware U.S. Attorney David Weiss, who has been heading up the investigation, had full authority to pursue the case without fear of political interference.

Speaking on the “Just the News, No Noise” television show on Friday, Empower Oversight President Tristan Leavitt, who is representing the anonymous whistleblower, revealed that congressional leaders have received the allegations with interest and are likely to hold hearings to air his client’s claims.

Missouri Republican Rep. Jason Smith “has identified that their committee on House Ways and Means is committed to thoroughly hearing these allegations, and so we look forward to a process,” Leavitt told host John Solomon and cohost Amanda Head.

Pakistan switching to yuan to buy Russian oil – media

The nations agreed a major oil deal earlier this year

Pakistan is likely to pay for shipments of crude oil from Russia in Chinese yuan, local media reported on Saturday, citing government sources. The first cargo of 750,000 barrels is expected to dock as soon as in June.

An unnamed official from the Ministry of Energy told The News International that the transaction would be facilitated by the Bank of China.

The sources haven’t provided details about the mode of payment or the exact discount that Pakistan will receive, saying that making the information public is not in the interest of either buyer or seller.

“Russia will provide URAL crude in the test cargo and most probably Pakistan Refinery Limited (PRL) will be tasked to refine the Russian crude,” the official said.

Other sources told the media that Pakistan has agreed a per-barrel price of around $50-52, compared to the G7 price cap on Russian oil of $60 per barrel.

In December, the EU, G7, and their allies introduced a collective ban on Russian seaborne oil exports, along with a price cap of $60 per barrel. Another embargo banning almost all imports of Russian oil products, as well as introducing price caps on diesel and other petroleum products, kicked in on February 5.

In January, Moscow and Islamabad reached “conceptual” agreements on supplies of Russian oil and petroleum products to Pakistan. The deal is expected to provide relief to cash-strapped Pakistan, which is facing a balance of payments crisis and critically low foreign exchange reserves.

(TRI) The U.S. Supreme Court has once again refused to hold police accountable for using force on unarmed individuals who have already surrendered or complied with police orders. Despite a series of high-profile incidents involving the use of unnecessary and excessive force by police against unarmed individuals, the Court declined to narrow the scope of qualified immunity granted to officers who assault non-violent suspects who have ceased to resist arrest.

Attorneys for The Rutherford Institute and Cato Institute had filed a joint amicus brief before the Supreme Court in Salazar v. Molina, challenging a lower court ruling that essentially gives police a green light to punish and harm suspects solely based upon their initial nonviolent resistance or flight. The legal coalition warned that the ruling by the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals, which granted qualified immunity to a police officer who tased a non-violent suspect in the back after he lay down to surrender, undermines public safety by discouraging suspects from surrendering or complying with police commands.

The Securities and Exchange Commission today announced the largest-ever award, nearly $279 million, to a whistleblower whose information and assistance led to the successful enforcement of SEC and related actions. This is the highest award in the SEC’s whistleblower program’s history, more than doubling the $114 million whistleblower award the SEC issued in October 2020.

"The size of today’s award – the highest in our program’s history – not only incentivizes whistleblowers to come forward with accurate information about potential securities law violations, but also reflects the tremendous success of our whistleblower program," said Gurbir S. Grewal, Director of the SEC’s Division of Enforcement. "This success directly benefits investors, as whistleblower tips have contributed to enforcement actions resulting in orders requiring bad actors to disgorge more than $4 billion in ill-gotten gains and interest. As this award shows, there is a significant incentive for whistleblowers to come forward with accurate information about potential securities law violations."

"The whistleblower’s sustained assistance including multiple interviews and written submissions was critical to the success of these actions," said Creola Kelly, Chief of the SEC’s Office of the Whistleblower. "While the whistleblower’s information did not prompt the opening of the Commission’s investigation, their information expanded the scope of misconduct charged."

Payments to whistleblowers are made out of an investor protection fund, established by Congress, which is financed entirely through monetary sanctions paid to the SEC by securities law violators. No money has been taken or withheld from harmed investors to pay whistleblower awards. Whistleblowers may be eligible for an award when they voluntarily provide the SEC with original, timely, and credible information that leads to a successful enforcement action, and adhere to filing requirements in the whistleblower rules. Whistleblower awards can range from 10 to 30 percent of the money collected when the monetary sanctions exceed $1 million.

As set forth in the Dodd-Frank Act, the SEC protects the confidentiality of whistleblowers and does not disclose any information that could reveal a whistleblower’s identity.
