Dutch nurse arrested for allegedly KILLING at least 24 COVID patients

A nurse in the Netherlands was arrested for allegedly killing at least 24 patients infected with the Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19).

Dutch law enforcement arrested the 30-year-old suspect known as Theo V., the country’s Public Prosecution Service (OM) said on April 20 while releasing limited information. Prior to his arrest, the nurse had worked in the lung ward of Wilhelmina Hospital in the northeastern Dutch city of Assen. The hospital hired the nurse just a few months before the COVID-19 pandemic began.

According to the OM, Theo V. was suspected of “being involved in the deaths of patients at Wilhelmina Hospital.” BNO News reported that the investigation by the government prosecutor’s office appears to be focused on the period between March 2020 and May 2022.

Government attorneys declined to provide details about the number of patients involved. However, a relative of a patient was informed that at least 24 deaths are being investigated. The same person added that all 24 were being treated for COVID-19.

Another man whose father died in April 2020 told the Algemeen Dagblad newspaper: “We asked, of course, how this happened, how this man was able to do this, but they can’t say anything about this yet. It’s not yet certain that this man [Theo V.] killed my father, but the fact that it’s being investigated shows that something is wrong.”

Republicans Demand Answers About Two Accidents Involving Dangerous Gain-Of-Function Research In Wisconsin

The entire Republican Wisconsin congressional delegation, led by Rep. Mike Gallagher, are demanding that two federal agencies provide information about two accidents in a lab conducting gain-of-function research.

A University of Wisconsin lab, directed by virologist Yoshihiro Kawaoka, was the site of two potential leaks of the H5N1 bird flu, according to an excerpt from the upcoming book “Pandora’s Gamble: Lab Leaks, Pandemics, and a World at Risk,” by Alison Young. Scientists in the lab conducted experiments designed to make the bird flu more transmissible to humans. In 2013, a scientist pierced their finger with a needle covered in the engineered H5N1 virus, Young reported, while in 2019 a trainee’s respirator hose became detached, causing the scientist to breathe in infected air.

The University of Wisconsin did not immediately notify the National Institute of Health or the National Institutes of Allergy and Infectious Diseases of either breach. The school also allowed the scientists in question to quarantine at home, rather than in a dedicated facility, in violation of federal guidelines. Neither scientist reportedly became ill.

“One of the many impacts the COVID-19 pandemic has had is an increasing awareness of gain-of-function research—scientific research that deliberately enhances pathogens like SARS or influenza in a lab in an effort to better understand and combat them,” the Republicans write to National Institutes of Health Director Lawrence Tabak and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Director Rochelle Walensky, in a letter obtained exclusively by the Daily Caller.

They are demanding that the two agencies provide information about the University of Wisconsin’s compliance with the Department of Health and Human Services’ P3CO framework, which regulates gain-of-function research. The Republicans are also requesting information about other labs that receive federal funding and conduct similar viral experiments.

“The NIH has an obligation to enforce the strictest safety standards on any lab that engages in risky research. The reported incident at UW-Madison raises questions about NIH’s basic processes for oversight and transparency at these labs and underscores why no lab should be engaging in gain-of-function research in the first place. The NIH needs to immediately address these concerns and outline steps they’ve taken to ensure that the confusion seen at UW-Madison never happens again,” Gallagher said in a statement to the Daily Caller.

H5N1 Bird Flu 'Wiping Out Everything,' Experts Warn

The worst bird flu outbreak in American history is "wiping out everything in numbers we've never seen before," according to a University of Maryland professor, Jennifer Mullinax.

The H5N1 strain has killed more than 58 million birds, according to reports.

That comes less than a decade after the H5N8 strain killed 50 million birds in 2015.

"Unlike H5N8, this disease is heavily impacting wild birds," University of Maryland researcher Johanna Harvey told Maryland Today.

"It's difficult to estimate how many birds are truly affected across wild populations, but we're seeing dramatic disease impacts in raptors, sea birds, and colonial nesting birds. And we now have the highest amount of poultry loss to avian influenza, so this is a worst-case scenario."

This is not thought to be a burgeoning problem for humans, but a Chinese woman has become the first person to die from bird flu, according to the World Health Organization.

The 56-year-old woman from the southern province of Guangdong was the third person known to have been infected with the H3N8 subtype of avian influenza, WHO said in a statement Tuesday.

All of the cases have been in China, with the first two cases reported last year.

The Guangdong Provincial Centre for Disease Control and Prevention reported the third infection late last month but did not provide details of the woman's death.

The patient had multiple underlying conditions, said WHO, and a history of exposure to live poultry.

Sporadic infections in people with bird flu are common in China where avian flu viruses constantly circulate in huge poultry and wild bird populations.

Samples collected from a wet market visited by the woman before she became ill were positive for influenza A(H3), said WHO, suggesting this might have been the source of infection.

Though rare in people, H3N8 is common in birds in which it causes little to no sign of disease. It has also infected other mammals.

There were no other cases found among close contacts of the infected woman, WHO said.

Dr Anthony Fauci stressed that data and evidence frequently changed as the pandemic raged on

Dr. Anthony Fauci struck a defensive tone during a recent interview reflecting on his and the government's response to the COVID-19 pandemic, admitting that mistakes were made despite his best efforts.

"Show me a school that I shut down and show me a factory that I shut down. Never. I never did," Fauci said when asked about the consequences of "heavy-handed" public health policies in a New York Times interview published Tuesday. "I gave a public-health recommendation that echoed the CDC’s recommendation, and people made a decision based on that. But I never criticized the people who had to make the decisions one way or the other."

The response was just one of several in which Fauci defended his guidance during the pandemic, pushing back against critics who have accused him of being wrong about everything from masks to how effective vaccines would be.

While Fauci, who recently retired from his post as director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Disease, admitted public health officials were sometimes wrong, he argued that the ever-changing nature of the evidence meant it was nearly impossible to get everything right.

"Communication in pandemics is difficult under the best of circumstances," Fauci said. "What has been so troubling to me as a health official is when you are dealing with a moving target, the evidence is evolving and new data becomes available, but you get so many different people with their own sets of data that are not real data, but even in a perfect world, it would not be easy."

One of the most controversial issues Fauci confronted as the face of the pandemic response was the mask mandates that eventually spread across the nation. Although Fauci had initially told Americans masking was unnecessary, he would later become a vocal supporter of the benefits of wearing face coverings.

When asked if his change of tune on masks and the divisive nature of the mandates may have intensified opposition to vaccines later, Fauci agreed that anything that "intensified the culture wars just made things worse."

Ukraine Will Launch Its Offensive By April 30, Anniversary Of Hitler’s Death – Newsweek

A lot has been said about Ukraine’s expected spring offensive, with many Western analysts predicting that it will soon begin. In fact, Newsweek cited the secret documents leaked on the Internet, which revealed that the US and its allies are aiming to launch Ukraine’s offensive by April 30, the anniversary of Adolf Hitler’s death.

Given that this timeframe is only days away, it seems unlikely that Ukraine will launch a major offensive because there is a lack of soldiers and weapons, such as fighter jets, air defence systems, tanks, armoured personnel carriers, and missiles. At the same time, Russian forces are likely readying themselves for the offensive, and to then also launch a counteroffensive.

Nevertheless, according to the Deputy Minister of Defence of Ukraine, Hanna Maliar, the Ukrainian army has already launched an offensive and it is wrong to wait for the announcement of a specific date. However, the Ukrainian army’s actions do not even resemble an offensive and it appears more like that they are trying to find weak points to attack in the future.

This task is made all the more difficult since offensives are usually preceded by artillery and airstrikes to soften defences. This has obviously not occurred, and will not occur in a major way since the Ukrainian military has lost nearly all of their fighter jets and artillery.

Given that Ukraine is not in a position to successfully launch an offensive, it is becoming increasingly evident that it is the US persistently pushing for an escalation. The West is seeking a justification to explain to their taxpayers why billions of dollars are propping up the Far-Right regime in Kiev instead of being used for domestic development. This is being done now by pretending that the Ukrainian military is on the cusp of victory.

For this purpose, Washington is pushing Ukraine to launch an offensive despite the fact that it can lead to the complete destruction of the Ukrainian army and a further loss of territory.

Western and Ukrainian media, as well as politicians, are also actively discussing the possible offensive to try and exert pressure and intimidate Russia. It is part of an informational and psychological war, and it is no coincidence that the dates of possible offensives are being publicly discussed.

The possible launch of the spring offensive on the very day of Adolf Hitler’s death is highly symbolic and points to the Kiev regimes extremist ideology. If Ukraine is to launch an offensive on this day, it can be interpreted as a primitive and pathetic attempt of revenge for the Soviet destruction of the Nazi regime in World War II.

None-the-less, for all the hype during the winter about the upcoming offensive, many are sceptical that Ukraine will launch it because, as already said, the country’s military does not have enough soldiers and weapons.

According to the founder of Wagner Private Military Company, Yevgeny Prigozhin, the Ukrainian army is unlikely to stage an offensive because the conditions are still muddy, thus making fields and unpaved roads impassable.

“An offensive cannot be launched right now for quite understandable reasons: amid horrific slush and mud. Even pickup trucks cannot freely run on this terrain, let alone heavy vehicles and tanks. It will take some ten days for the ground to dry,” Prigozhin said.

Barbie doll with Down’s syndrome launched by Mattel

Firm partnered with US charity and medical experts to create part of ‘most diverse and inclusive doll line’

Barbie is launching its first doll with Down’s syndrome in an effort to help more children find a toy that represents them.

Mattel bosses said they wanted to bring out the doll to “enable all children to see themselves in Barbie”. They partnered with the National Down Syndrome Society (NDSS) in the US to bring the product to market.

The move was welcomed by charities, with Carol Boys, chief executive of the UK Down’s Syndrome Association, saying: “Children in our community will be able to play with a doll that represents them.”

Ellie Goldstein, a British model with Down’s syndrome who has appeared in a campaign with the new Barbie, said she was “so happy” to see the new doll. She added: “Diversity is important to me as people need to see more people like me out there in the world and not be hidden away.”

Mattel said it consulted the NDSS and medical professionals to inform the design process, introducing a new face and body sculpt to be more illustrative of women with Down’s syndrome, including a shorter frame and a longer torso.

Guided by the NDSS, the doll’s pink pendant necklace with three upward chevrons represents the three copies of the 21st chromosome, which is the genetic material that causes the characteristics associated with the condition.

The chevrons, or arrows, represent “the Lucky Few” who have someone with Down’s syndrome in their life.

90 victims of sexual exploitation identified

13 human traffickers responsible for forcing over 400 women into sexual labour arrested

An operation involving Czech, Finnish and Hungarian authorities, and coordinated by Europol and Eurojust, has led to the identification of more than 90 victims of sexual exploitation. 13 members of a criminal network are under suspicion of recruiting – primarily Czech – victims and transporting them to Finland and other Scandinavian countries for sexual exploitation. Czech members of the criminal network, which is believed to have earned at least EUR 3.3 million, acted as coordinators and offered the victims’ services on websites. Perpetrators could book the victims in advance, while rotation systems – also known as ‘sex tours’ or ‘carousels’ – allowed for the exploited victims to be offered in various locations. The investigation concerning the results of this operation is still ongoing, as more than 400 victims of Czech, Hungarian and Romanian nationality were counted in total.

In April 2022, the České Budějovice Branch of the Czech National Organised Crime Agency, the National Investigation Team for Trafficking in Human Beings of the Helsinki Police Department, and the Criminal Intelligence Department of the Hungarian National Bureau of Investigation jointly participated in an action day targeting the criminals behind this sexual exploitation network. Europol coordinated first action day, which was followed by further action days, during which the Finnish and Czech authorities executed additional arrest warrants.

Overall results of the operation include:

90 victims identified during the investigation timeframe

10 houses searched

The operators’ role was to advertise the victims on ‘adult service websites’ and manage their online profile. In some cases, the main perpetrators also used specific victims, known as ‘Alphas’, to exercise control over the others.

The 400 victims forced into sexual exploitation were mostly advertised as Czech women regardless of their true nationality. They often worked under extreme duress, deprived of their earnings and kept in constant check by the criminals. In the event they were allowed to return home, members of the criminal network would take large parts of their savings and extort more money using threats and violence.

Space Operations Command recently took control of the Space Based Infrared System (SBIRS) Geosynchronous Earth Orbit (GEO) Satellite-6 from

Space Systems Command on March 24, 2023.

“Space Delta 4 and the 2nd Space Warning Squadron are honored to add SBIRS GEO-6 to our repertoire of missile warning and tracking sensors,” said Col. Miguel Cruz, Space Delta 4 commander. “Our mission area has never been more capable than it is today and GEO-6 is a testament to that.”

Buckley Space Force Base is home to Space Delta 4’s 2nd Space Warning Squadron. The team of Guardians here are now responsible for operating the satellite and all systems are performing normally.

The 2 SWS mission is to defend and deliver trusted, persistent space-based global missile warning and battlespace awareness in support of U.S. and allied forces. SBIRS GEO-6 is significant to the missile warning mission because it is the last of a total six missile detection and early warning SBIRS satellites.

SBIRS GEO-6 is essential to the mission because it is equipped with scanning and infrared surveillance sensors. These satellites are the tip of the spear as they collect data that Airmen and Guardians use to detect missile launches, support missile defense and foster a lethal force in space domain awareness.

Jordan Subpoenas FBI Executive In Conservative ‘Purge’ Inquiry

Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) subpoenaed an FBI executive in an escalation of an investigation into whistleblower allegations of politicization within the agency.

A spokesperson for Jordan, who heads the House Judiciary Committee as well as the subcommittee charged with investigating the “weaponization” of the federal government, announced the development on Monday.

“Today, Chairman Jordan issued a subpoena to Jennifer Leigh Moore, Executive Assistant Director of Human Resources at the Federal Bureau of Investigation, after she refused to answer questions during her transcribed interview about the FBI’s retaliation against brave whistleblowers who have come forward to raise concerns about abuses they have seen at the Bureau,” said Jordan spokesperson Russell Dye.

The statement did not say when the interview took place, but a letter sent to Moore in late January accused her of “obstruction” for not complying with earlier requests for an interview.

The Daily Wire reached out to the FBI seeking comment on the subpoena.

“Executive Assistant Director Moore voluntarily answered questions from members and their staffs about the FBI’s security clearance adjudication process for several hours,” the FBI said in response.

“She did not discuss the details of specific individuals whose cases are still under review to protect the integrity of the process and the privacy of the individuals,” the FBI added. “The FBI recognizes the importance of congressional oversight and remains fully committed to cooperating with Congress’ oversight requests consistent with its constitutional and statutory responsibilities.”

House Republicans on the Judiciary Committee demanded information from law enforcement and intelligence leaders last year, at the time without subpoena power, and they released a report in November summarizing allegations of politicization in the Justice Department and FBI raised by “a multitude” of whistleblowers. Within the report were allegations concerning a “purge” of FBI employees holding conservative views, which has been linked to Moore and mentions issues related to former President Donald Trump.

“This perception is buttressed by previous, documented examples of political bias ingrained in the FBI’s leadership culture — for example, when a senior FBI official wrote derisively to a colleague that he ‘could SMELL the Trump support’ at a Walmart in southern Virginia, or when an FBI attorney altered evidence in support of the FBI’s warrantless surveillance of a Trump campaign associate,” the report said.

“The FBI has responded to these concerns with a hollow assertion that ‘FBI personnel must maintain objectivity and rigor in their work,'” the report continued. “While the FBI may well be holding line agents to this standard, FBI leadership and supervisors are actively purging those who dare to hold a differing opinion.”

In first seeking Moore’s testimony for the inquiry, Republicans sent her a letter in September that said “we have received protected whistleblower disclosures that the FBI is engaging in a ‘purge’ of employees with conservative views by revoking their security clearances and indefinitely suspending these employees. Many of the formal notices for these adverse personnel actions have been signed by you. Recently, we received information suggesting you have retaliated against at least one whistleblower who has made protected disclosures to Congress.”

The science world was left stunned when researchers revealed the discovery of a massive blue hole in Mexico. This second-largest blue hole has the potential to offer insight into the possibility of life on other planets.

Although the colossal sapphire sinkhole was initially found in 2021, its documentation only surfaced recently in the scientific journal Frontiers In Marine Science.

It is probable that this is “the deepest blue hole in the area,” stated the scientists who were associated with the public research center El Colegio de la Frontera Sur (Ecosur).

Blue holes, which are also referred to as Karst formations in scientific communities, are essentially underwater caves that are vertical in shape. They were formed over several millennia through the glacial melt during the Ice Age, as per Discovery.com.

These vast underwater structures frequently have a depth of several hundred feet and can extend an equal or larger distance horizontally, according to scientists.

The most recent cobalt cave network was found in Chetumal Bay off the Yucatan Peninsula and was then scrutinized and sampled by means of scuba divers, undersea sonar, and other techniques.

According to Live Science, this colossal blue lagoon has been named Taam ja’, which translates to “deep water” in Mayan, and spans an expanse of 147,000 square feet, with a depth of 900 feet.

According to the research, this “makes it the second deepest known blue hole in the world,” with the Dragon Hole in the South China Sea believed to extend down around 980 feet.

The walls of this deep blue crater shield the water from tides, resulting in a completely motionless current, creating an aquatic anomaly that seems to be stuck in time.

Are blue holes a portal to the past and beyond?

According to Discovery.com, the tidal movement results in the blue holes being “sharply stratified by a thin layer of freshwater on the surface that prevents oxygen from reaching the dense saltwater below.”

However, despite the inhospitable conditions, blue holes are thriving marine oases with organisms that have adapted to living in an oxygen-depleted environment.

Interestingly, this lack of oxygen has the side effect of effectively preserving fossils, which can potentially assist scientists in identifying species that have long since gone extinct.

In fact, submarine sinkholes have the potential to serve as gateways to both space and time.

In 2012, researchers exploring blue holes in the Bahamas discovered bacteria in the deep recesses of the caves, where no other life existed. This could potentially provide insights into the types of organisms that may survive on other planets.

One of the most concerning aspects of blue holes is the insight they provide into human activities.

In 2018, while exploring the enigmatic “Great Blue Hole” in Belize, plastic bottles were discovered at the bottom of the 410-foot-deep structure.

President Biden’s re-election campaign is re-embracing its dark side.

Like a case of political gonorrhea, the cringeworthy “Dark Brandon” meme co-opted by the commander-in-chief’s supporters appeared on merchandise Tuesday after Biden announced he will seek a second term in 2024.

A T-shirt featuring an image of Biden with red laser eyes nestled between the year “2024” goes for $32, and is “best worn while vanquishing malarkey,” according to the Democrat’s campaign website.

Also available for purchase is the “Dark Roast Mug” featuring the same ironic image of Biden’s alter ego, for $22.

The meme — a play on the anti-Biden slogan “Let’s Go Brandon” — co-opted images by Chinese illustrator Yang Quan meant to portray the president as an evil ruler.
