DHS confirmed to Fox News Digital that Transnational Organized Crime Mission Center executive director Brian Sulc’s office was raided and cordoned off with police tape on Monday. Biden’s younger brother James emerges as a central figure in the family’s big-money deals

President Biden‘s younger brother, James B. Biden, doesn’t appear in the headlines as much as his troubled nephew, the president’s son, Hunter Biden.

A House Republican investigation, however, is poised to expose how James Biden and eight additional family members may have profited off his brother’s powerful positions in government and perhaps put national security in danger by compromising the president.

Court documents and Congressional reports show James Biden wasn’t shy about promoting his brother’s influence, including telling potential business partners in 2019 that Joe Biden “was in the room with him” as he closed in on a lucrative deal.

Seven years younger than Joe Biden, James Biden, 73, never graduated college but has made a successful living with a string of varied business ventures, some of the most lucrative deals secured with Hunter Biden.

The two Biden‘s recently raked in seven-figure payouts from energy firms connected to the Chinese Communist Party, bank records obtained by Congressional Republicans show. The money was wired in 2017 and 2018 to Hunter Biden‘s Owasco law firm and then distributed by Hunter Biden to associates and family members. Hunter Biden gave at least $1.4 million to Lion Hall Group, James Biden’s consulting firm based in Merion Station, Pennsylvania. The president’s daughter-in-law, Hallie Biden, also got a cut of the funds.

It’s not clear what services James, Hunter or Hallie Biden provided for the money, but Sen. Charles Grassley, who has been probing the Biden business deals for years, said the payout was to compensate for work helping the Chinese Communist Party-backed firms “pursue deals and expand its reach in the energy sector.”

When James Biden’s bank questioned the large deposits, his wife, Sara Biden, told the bank it was for assisting Owasco with international clients, according to congressional investigators.

Sara Biden did not respond to an inquiry from The Washington Times and a spokesman for James Biden had no comment.

In addition to big payments from the Chinese firms, James and Sara were provided a $100K shopping spree from Hunter and his business associate, Chinese national Gongwen Dong. The two opened a line of credit that James and Sara used to pay for travel, hotels, restaurants and Apple devices, according to the bank records obtained by lawmakers.

Congressional investigators are delving into the foreign business deals via Treasury Department suspicious activity reports generated by banks. Last week, the Republican leading the effort, House Oversight and Accountability Committee Chairman James Comer of Kentucky, said he’s identified an additional six members of President Biden‘s family “who may have benefited from the Biden family’s businesses that we are investigating, bringing the total number of those involved or benefiting to nine.”

The Left lost control of a school board, so it called in the ACLU and Biden administration

A new investigation from lawyers hired by a school board outside of Philadelphia undermines claims by the American Civil Liberties Union and the Philadelphia media that a GOP-controlled school board created a hostile environment toward gay and transgender students.

The 140-page report, presented at a school board meeting and made public Thursday night, paints a picture of an activist teacher breaking the rules to manipulate students and the media and then becoming a media darling after getting suspended for it. They also reveal that the supposedly anti-gay school administrators were, in fact, aggressive in cracking down on bullying.

AMERICA'S DEADLY DISEASE OF MISTRUST

The story in short: After the voters of Bucks County in 2021 swung the Central Bucks school board from Democratic control to a 6-3 Republican majority, one of the Democratic board members, and one activist teacher who was a labor union vice president, worked with the ACLU, the Biden administration’s Education Department, and the Philadelphia media to paint school leadership and the school board’s policies as harmful to gay and transgender students.

Andrew Burgess was a teacher at Lenape Middle School in Bucks County who became a media celebrity after being suspended. The ACLU filed complaints with the Department of Education’s Office for Civil Rights, mostly stemming from Burgess’s battles with the school board. The original charge alleged that school and district administrators didn’t do anything about rampant bullying of gay and transgender students.

Subsequent complaints called Burgess’s dismissal unfair retaliation and alleged the school district refused to readmit into the building students who participated in a walkout in support of Burgess and that the school board’s new policies against teacher political lecturing in the classroom and age-inappropriate books were discriminatory and created a hostile environment.

The Philadelphia Inquirer and other local outlets followed the Central Bucks story closely, almost always taking the Burgess-ACLU line verbatim. The attorneys interviewed Burgess and dozens of others, had access to school district emails and messages, and found a very different story.

When one student told Burgess of “anti-LGBTQ” bullying and discrimination, Burgess discouraged this student from telling the counselors or principal, which is the proper method of handling such cases. Instead, Burgess personally collected all the accusations, created a dossier, and never shared it with the administration. Instead, he sent it to the ACLU.

Discouraging the student from properly reporting the harassment and bullying allowed Burgess to claim the school was turning a blind eye to the incidents. Burgess, the investigation suggests, was politically motivated to paint the school district in a negative light after the Republican takeover in 2021.

Burgess, it seems, wanted to peddle the story that the district’s new rules — requiring sex-segregated sex-ed classes, barring teachers from flying trans flags or other political banners in the classroom, requiring parental permission for student name changes, and barring teaching age-inappropriate material — created a hostile environment. In the process, Burgess broke the rules, hid bullying allegations from the school and district, and manipulated a middle school student into keeping these allegations from the administration.

In fact, Lenape Middle School principal Geanine Saullo emailed Burgess in the same weeks when Burgess was collecting his dossier. “I know earlier in the year [Student 1] was experiencing some negative attention from peers,” Saullo wrote. “I was wondering if you have seen anything lately or if things have improved.”

When Burgess replied that this student was still experiencing bullying and harassment, the principal replied: “Please encourage [Student 1] to bring these things to our attention. I would hate to see suffering in silence.” Burgess wrote back, “Will do and thank you!” But he didn’t. Instead, he kept the dossier of accusations to himself until he could take it to the media and the OCR.

Former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie is talking up his own ability to land a winning argument and even take down Donald Trump in the race for the White House.

Christie, who earlier this week leveled a 'porn star' attack on Trump while arguing Ron DeSantis wasn't conservative enough, made the comments on a trip to New Hampshire, a state central to his failed 2016 presidential campaign.

Christie, known as a political brawler, got asked whether other members of the Republican field were not 'physical enough' or lacked the 'aggressiveness' to take Trump down, on a day when he led the field in another new poll.

'Look, I know what I'm good at. I know how to articulate an argument. I know how to make it. I know how to land it. And I feel like I have the ideas that people are generally attracted to. So if you have those things, you have a good chance to be able to do it. No guarantees, but a good chance,' he told Fox News.

Christie declined to pick apart other members of the field, which includes former UN Ambassador Nikki Haley, DeSantis, former Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchison, and entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswami (with former Vice President Mike Pence heading back to Iowa this weekend).

'As to the others, you guys will have to judge the others. I just know who I am, and I think you all know who I am and what I've been able to do before, under the brightest of lights,' he said.

NATO member questions Stoltenberg’s stance on Ukraine

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban appeared to be baffled by a pledge made to Kiev by the bloc’s secretary-general

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban has cast doubt on NATO’s purportedly universal support for accepting Ukraine into the US-led bloc.

Orban took to Twitter on Friday to share an article by Politico on NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg’s visit to Kiev, where he proclaimed Ukraine had a “rightful place”within the bloc.

Commenting on the article, Orban simply wrote: “What?!”

Stoltenberg made a surprise appearance in Kiev on Thursday, in a first visit to the country since the beginning of hostilities between Russia and Ukraine in February 2022.

During a joint press conference with Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, Stoltenberg praised the continuous military aid flowing from NATO member states to Ukraine. He also insisted a multi-year support initiative for Kiev was “testament to NATO’s long-term commitment” to the country.

“Allies are now delivering more jets, tanks, and armored vehicles, and NATO’s Ukraine fund is providing urgent support… All of this is making a real difference on the battlefield today,”Stoltenberg asserted. He further claimed that Kiev has a “rightful” place within the bloc.

Ukraine’s rightful place is in the Euro-Atlantic family. Ukraine’s rightful place is in NATO. And over time, our support will help to make this possible.

However, the secretary-general failed to provide a specific timeframe for Ukraine’s potential accession into the alliance. Zelensky, for his part, urged Stoltenberg to “overcome the reluctance” of some NATO members to supply long-range rockets and modern fighter jets to Ukraine.

Hungary has repeatedly said it will not support Ukraine’s applications to either NATO or the EU. Budapest has refrained from providing military aid to Kiev, as well as refusing to allow such shipments to travel through its territory and onto Ukraine.

Budapest and Kiev have long been at odds over the latter’s attitude towards the ethnic Hungarian minority in Ukraine. Some 150,000 ethnic Hungarians live in modern Ukraine, primarily in the Transcarpathian region. Kiev’s efforts to crack down on Russian speakers following the 2014 Maidan coup have affected other minorities as well, including Hungarians. Kiev, meanwhile, has repeatedly accused Budapest of meddling in its internal affairs, particularly by granting citizenship to Ukraine’s ethnic Hungarians.

Ukrainian strikes on Russian soil acceptable – German defense minister

Boris Pistorius has argued that such attacks are “fully normal” as long as the civilian population is not affected

Ukraine has every right to conduct strikes and other military operations on Russian territory, German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius has argued. He noted, however, thatcivilians should not be hurtin the process. (Ukraine has killed close to 18,000 citizens just in their country, they are literally terrorists!)

Ukraine has regularly shelled several Russian border regions ever since Moscow launched its military campaign last February. Dozens of civilians have lost their lives as a result, with many more injured.

Appearing on Germany’s ZDF TV channel on Thursday, Pistorius said that it is “fully normal” that the “attacked [party] also moves into enemy territory, for instance to cut supply routes.”

“So long as cities, civilians, civilian areas are not attacked, you will unavoidably have to accept this,” the minister clarified.

However, Pistorius said that the West should not simply automatically rubber-stamp any weapons request by Kiev.

“If Ukraine asks for certain types of bombs that are outlawed globally, then we must say no,” the minister stressed.

Speaking about Kiev’s chances of joining NATO, the German official said that “this is now not the time to decide this.” Ukraine and NATO should for the time being prioritize “repelling this attack,” Pistorius insisted. Should these efforts prove successful, theUS-led military bloc will have to “carefully weigh” this step, the minister said.

Pistorius went on to point out thatNATO cannot admit Ukraineinto its ranks purely “out of solidarity,” butshould rather “decide with a cold head and hot heart, and not the other way round.”

Russian border regions – particularly those of Belgorod, Kursk and Bryansk – have repeatedly come under Ukrainian attacks over the past year. Kiev’s forces have used explosive-laden drones, mortars, artillery, and missiles in these strikes.

The toll taken on Belgorod Region in particular has been significant. Earlier this week, the region’s governor, Vyacheslav Gladkov, revealed thata total of thirty civilians in his region have been killedin Ukrainian attacks since February 2022, with 123 more people sustaining injuries. More than 3,000 homes have also been either destroyed or damaged, the official said. Dozens of schools and power facilities have also been hit.

Furthermore, the Donetsk People’s Republic, which joined Russia after a referendum last fall, has been subjected to regular shelling by the Ukrainian military since 2014. The attacks appear to be largely indiscriminate, with scores of civilians having lost their lives as result.

‘Sophisticated naval forces’ bombed Nord Stream – Danish navy veteran

The perpetrator had access to advanced underwater drones, a former diver told Bloomberg

Whoever sabotaged the Nord Stream pipelines likely had access to fast-moving underwater drones, one of Denmark’s most “experienced navy divers” told Bloomberg on Thursday.NATO forces trainedwith these unmanned underwater vehicles near the blast site prior to the explosions.

The diver said that “finding the pipelines without precise coordinates or tracking technology, then transporting and placing the explosives, would’ve challenged diver-saboteurs,” in the newspaper’s words.

“The diver estimates the operation, including a safe ascent, would’ve taken an individual diver several hours. He surmises that whoever carried out the attackhad accessto a fast-moving autonomous submersible vehicle, like the ones employed bysophisticated naval forces,” the report continued, adding that “a surface vessel remaining relatively static for hours…would’ve attracted unwanted attention.”

The Danish navy described the diver’s hypothesis as sound, while the country’s intelligence agency, defense ministry, and foreign affairs ministry offered no comment.

The Nord Stream 1 and 2 pipelines – which were built to deliver Russian natural gas directly to Germany – lost pressure abruptly on September 26, following a series of underwater explosions off the Danish island of Bornholm, within the economic zones of Denmark and Sweden. Denmark is one of five countries independently investigating the incidents but has not shared any conclusions.

The diver’shypothesis seems to disprove the theory– promulgated by US and German spies in the New York Times and Washington Post – that a “pro-Ukrainian group” used a rented yacht to ferry explosives to the blast site. The intelligence officials quoted by both newspapers made no mention of the supposed group having at their disposal underwater drones.

NATO militaries do, however, have accessto these unmanned subs. During last June’s BALTOPS exercises, theUS navy’s Sixth Fleettrained with underwater “mine-hunting” drones for ten days off the coast of Bornholm, according to a NATO statement. TheUkrainiangovernment has alsoreceived six of these dronesfrom the UK, and although the Sixth Fleet trained Kiev’s forces in operating them, no evidence has emerged placing Ukrainian operators near Bornholm last summer.

According to a report by American journalist Seymour Hersh, US navy divers used the BALTOPS drills as cover to plant the explosives, aided by their Norwegian counterparts. Citing a source with “direct knowledge of the operational planning,” Hersh said that the sabotage mission was planned by the CIA under the direct orders of President Joe Biden.

Multiple US officials have denied Hersh’s version of events, and a former CIA operative told Bloomberg that, in his opinion, someone involved in the planning would have stepped in and said “this is the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard.” However, Hersh wrote that this exact scenario happened – with State Department and CIA officials deeming the plan “stupid” – but the skeptics were overruled and the pipelines destroyed with explosives triggered remotely three months after they were planted.

Russian President Vladimir Putin said last month that he “fully agrees” with Hersh’s conclusions, blaming the sabotage on “US intelligence.” The Kremlin has dismissed the “pro-Ukrainian group” theory, calling it “a coordinated media hoax campaign.”

White House: No evacuation plans for all Americans in Sudan

RAMSTEIN AIR BASE, Germany (AP) — The Pentagon has deployed forces and is developing options to assist in the possible evacuation of U.S. Embassy personnel from Sudan, but the White House said Friday there are no plans for now for a broader pullout of the potentially thousands of other Americans from the African country where warring factions are in a violent conflict.

The troop moves by the U.S. military are intended “to ensure that we provide as many options as possible, if we are called on to do something. We haven’t been called on to do anything yet,” Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin said at a news conference in Germany. Austin and U.S. Army Gen. Mark Milley, the Joint Chiefs of Staff chairman, held meeting meetings with defense leaders from other countries to discuss additional support for Ukraine.

An estimated 16,000 private U.S. citizens are registered with the U.S. Embassy in Khartoum as being in Sudan. The State Department has cautioned that that figure probably is inaccurate because there is no requirement for Americans to register nor is there a requirement to notify the embassy when they leave.

“It’s absolutely imperative that U.S. citizens in Sudan make their own arrangements to stay safe in these difficult circumstances,” White House National Security Council spokesman John Kirby said in Washington.
