Fulton County Grand Jury Forewoman Admits ‘I Told My Boyfriend’ About Proceedings

Fulton County grand jury forewoman Emily Kohrs admitted in a recent interview that she told her boyfriend about the proceedings from a recent Georgia case revolving around former President Donald Trump and the 2020 election.

“I told my boyfriend at one point during proceeding, during all this, I came home and I told him,” Kohrs told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution (AJC) in an interview Tuesday afternoon. “Do you know that if I was in a room with Donald Trump and Joseph Biden and they knew who I was, they would both want to speak to me.”

Kohrs was referring to the special grand jury’s work after serving as the leader of the 23-person special grand jury, which had met behind closed doors from May 2022 to January 2023 to hear testimonies from 75 witnesses.

Lawyers are preparing to quash any possible indictments after the Georgia grand jury forewoman went on a crazy media tour.

Last week a Fulton County judge ordered parts of the grand jury report in the garbage Trump 2020 election investigation to be released as the prosecutor considers charges against Trump and his allies.

The grand jury concluded that “one or more witnesses” lied under oath and recommended perjury indictments.

“A majority of the Grand Jury believes that perjury may have been committed by one or more witnesses testifying before it,” the report said.

“The Grand Jury recommends that the District Attorney seek appropriate indictments for such crimes where the evidence is compelling,” the report said, according to CNBC.

The forewoman of the jury, Emily Khors, suggested that the jurors recommended indicting Trump in an interview with the New York Times.

Khors did not offer any other details about who specifically was recommended for charges.

Khors did a series of disastrous media interviews on Tuesday.

She sounded like a 14-year-old child as she giggled about the possible indictments against Trump.

“I will be sad” if the DA decides against bringing charges against Trump, Khors said to CNN.

“Personally… I wanted to hear from the former president. But honestly, I kind of wanted to subpoena the former president, because I got to swear everybody in. And so I thought it’d be really cool to get 60 seconds with President Trump of me looking at him and being like, do you solemnly swear? And me getting to swear him in, I just, I kind of thought that would be an awesome moment,” Khors said.

Hopefully Khors is enjoying her 15 minutes because her media tour may have blown the prosecution out.

Lawyers are reportedly preparing to quash any indictments based on Khors’ insane statements during her media tour.

Lawyers close to several Republican witnesses in the Fulton County investigation into post-election interference by former President Donald Trump and his allies are preparing to move to quash any possible indictments by the district attorney, Fani Willis.

Their attempt to do so would be based on recent public statements by the forewoman of a special purpose grand jury, Emily Kohrs, according to two people familiar with the discussions who spoke with CBS News.

The special purpose grand jury served as an investigatory body that could recommend charges but could not indict. Willis is now deciding whether to pursue charges and open a “regular” criminal grand jury, to seek possible indictments against Trump or others based on the special grand jury’s recommendations, compiled in a report it made following the completion of its work.

She has not yet decided whether to pursue charges and has only said a decision on how to proceed is “imminent.”

If she were to pursue charges, lawyers for several witnesses are preparing to move to quash indictments, based on the forewoman’s comments, which they would argue taint any such charges and the investigation.

COVID-19 linked to 40% increase in autoimmune disease risk in huge study

Catching COVID-19 may raise the risk of developing autoimmune disease by 43% in the months following the infection, according to the largest study of its kind.

Now, researchers have analyzed the health records of 640,000 people in Germany who caught COVID-19 in 2020 and 1.5 million people who didn't knowingly catch the coronavirus that year to explore how the infection might affect the risk of developing any of 30 autoimmune conditions.

They examined the rate at which people were newly diagnosed with autoimmune diseases in the three to 15 months after they tested positive for COVID-19. They compared these rates to those of the people who hadn't caught COVID-19. Roughly 10% of the participants in each group had preexisting autoimmune diseases.

Among the people with no history of autoimmunity, more than 15% of people who'd caught COVID-19 developed an autoimmune disease for the first time during the follow-up period, compared with roughly 11% of the people who hadn't caught COVID-19. In other words, the COVID-19 group had a 43% higher likelihood of autoimmune disease than the control group.

Among those with existing autoimmunity, those who caught COVID-19 had a 23% higher chance of developing an additional autoimmune disease in the follow-up period.

COVID-19 was most strongly linked to an increased risk of vasculitis, which causes inflammation of the blood vessels; the previously infected group had a 63% higher rate of a type of vasculitis called arteritis temporalis than the uninfected group did. Autoimmune-driven problems with the thyroid, a butterfly-shaped organ in the throat that releases hormones, and the skin condition psoriasis were also strongly linked to prior COVID-19 infection, as was rheumatoid arthritis, which causes swelling in the joints.

"These findings just cannot be ignored," Subramanian said. "We need to pursue research into how COVID-19 is potentially triggering autoimmunity because many people are continuing to suffer from the effects of COVID-19." There are several hypotheses as to how COVID-19 might trigger autoimmunity, and it's possible that different mechanisms affect different organ systems, the researchers noted.

"Understanding how COVID-19 impacts autoimmune disease risk will help in executing the prevention measures and early treatments to prevent associated morbidity and mortality," said Jagadeesh Bayry, a professor of biological sciences and engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology Palakkad who was not involved in the study.

Other viral infections, including influenza, have been linked to autoimmune disease, so more research is needed to establish what effects are specific to COVID-19, Bayry said. Future studies should also examine these links in diverse populations, beyond people living in Germany, Subramanian said.

Although the large sample size makes this a strong study, it is worth noting that it "only shows an association between COVID-19 and autoimmune disease but doesn't prove causality," said Dr. Atsushi Sakuraba, an associate professor of gastroenterology at the University of Chicago who was not involved in the research.

Another limitation is that there may have been people in the study's uninfected group who actually caught COVID-19 but developed little to no symptoms, and thus didn't know they'd been infected. The study also can't show whether different coronavirus variants are linked to a higher or lower risk of autoimmune disease, or how COVID-19 vaccination affects that risk. >>18395684

Vanuatu set to enter global cannabis market after passing cultivation, export laws – but some remain sceptical

Vanuatu has become one of the first Pacific countries to allow businesses to grow medicinal cannabis and hemp, after signing into law policies governing the import, cultivation and manufacture of the plant.

It paves the way for the country to enter the global cannabis market, with some hoping the plant can become a major cash-crop for local communities.

The government has made at least five 10-year licenses available for businesses to purchase – two for growing medicinal cannabis and three for hemp production – for 10 million Vatu each ($123,000).

Businesses are also expected to pay an additional 10 million Vatu every year as a license renewal fee.

Medicinal cannabis is most often used to relieve chronic pain and has also been used to treat anxiety, cancer-related symptoms, epilepsy, insomnia and multiple sclerosis (MS).

Hemp typically has less of the psychoactive compound tetrahydrocannabinol, and can be used in products including rope, textiles, clothing, shoes, food, paper, bioplastics, insulation, and biofuel.

The director-general of Vanuatu's Agricultural Department, Moses Amos, told local broadcaster VBTC the policies aimed to encourage foreign investment in the country.

"The government is especially focused on alternative resources that we can use, and one of them is industrial hemp and medicinal cannabis," he said.

"It's a potential resource that we can use and develop to become a potential export commodity for us, and at the same time bring a little money into the country."

High risk industry

In an attempt to mitigate the "high risks" associated with the cannabis industry, the government has said it will only approve licenses for companies with at least 10 years' experience in the field.

The Salt Doll

The doll of salt had been walking in the desert for longer than it could remember.

It didn’t know from where it had come, nor how long it had been travelling.

It was simply alive, and walking, beneath the hot sun, in the sand-filled winds, in the icy moonlight of the night.

At a certain point it came to the sea, though it could make no sense of it.

Tentatively, the salt doll reached out and put a toe into the water.

A thrill shot up the length of its body and it gained a glimmer of understanding.

Yet when it looked down, it noticed that its toe was gone.

“What’s happened?” It asked. “What’ve you done to me?”

“You’ve given something of yourself in order to know. This is how it is.”

The salt doll withdrew slightly. It was unsure about this new land and its strange ways. It didn’t want to lose itself.

The sea said nothing. It lapped at the shore, existing, as simply as the sun and the wind.

Eventually the salt doll was unable to keep itself from moving closer again.

It could still taste the sea in its body, and its curiosity was too strong. It needed to know more.

Placing a foot in the water, the sea shot up its leg and passed into the rest of it, collapsing the doll into itself.

ARKANSAS – Police have confirmed reports of a small plane crash near the Bill and Hillary Clinton National Airport in Little Rock on Wednesday afternoon.

According to officials, all five people who were aboard the twin-engine plane were killed.

NPR says it's cutting jobs by 10% as ad revenue drops

NPR's chief executive announced the network would lay off roughly 10% of its current workforce – at least 100 people – and eliminate most vacant positions. CEO John Lansing cited the erosion of advertising dollars, particularly for NPR podcasts, and the tough financial outlook for the media industry more generally.

"When we say we are eliminating filled positions, we are talking about our colleagues - people whose skills, spirit and talents help make NPR what it is today," Lansing wrote in a memo to staff today. "This will be a major loss."

On an annual budget of roughly $300 million, Lansing says, revenues are likely to fall short by close to $30 million, although that gap could reach $32 million.

"We're not seeing signs of a recovery in the advertising market," Lansing says in an interview. "Nothing is nailed down yet except the principles and what we know we have to reach."

NPR's programming division, which produces its industry-leading podcasts, has more than doubled since 2019. Lansing says he remains committed to podcasting "1,000 percent," as well as the network's hallmark news magazines, such as Morning Edition and All Things Considered.

Lansing says he does not yet know who within NPR will be affected, but said the job cuts would not fall evenly across the organization.

"I don't anticipate that it would be like a haircut across every division, because that's just not management," Lansing says. "Management is about committing to strategy, making tough decisions."

He also vowed to make sure job cuts do not fall disproportionately on employees of color.

An NPR spokeswoman said final decisions on which jobs will be eliminated should occur by the week of March 20.

When asked about his priorities, Lansing invoked what he has called the network's "North Star'' since his arrival in the fall of 2019: a push to ensure the network has a bigger and broader audience base, rooted in younger and more diverse listeners, readers and consumers. The emphasis, he says, must be on drawing in "the future audience to make NPR sustainable for the next 50 years."

The White House lashed out at Republicans over the toxic train derailment in East Palestine, Ohio, charging that the GOP worked alongside rail industry lobbyists to undo safety regulations during the Trump administration.

The attack comes as former President Donald Trump visited East Palestine on Wednesday, as the Biden administration faces a swell of criticism over its response to the Feb. 3 derailment.

“Congressional Republicans and former Trump administration officials owe East Palestine an apology for selling them out to rail industry lobbyists when they dismantled Obama-Biden rail safety protections as well as EPA powers to rapidly contain spills,” said White House spokesperson Andrew Bates.

Bates challenged Republican lawmakers to put the protections back into effect, increase fines, and boost Environmental Protection Agency funding.

“There is only one way they can prove that they are finally disowning their long history of giveaways to rail industry management at the expense of communities like East Palestine: work across the aisle with us to put Obama-Biden protections back in place and go further, including with higher fines for rail pollution and properly equipping the EPA,” he said.

Twitchy Business – Joe Biden Meets With Moldovan President Maia Sandu

All of the geopolitical deep weeds followers generally agree, if/when the U.S. triggers the first direct military strikes against Russian interests, what one might call the modern Archduke Ferdinand moment,it will likely take place in Moldova.

As a consequence, a very strategically weak and easily influenced Moldovan President, currently Maia Sandu, will be the manipulated leader who next puts her country in harm’s way.

Moldova has a significant population of pro-Russia citizens in the east, which makes the internal domestic dynamic a little strenuous to manage. It is very similar to Ukraine in that regard.

White House – President Joseph R. Biden Jr. met today with Moldovan President Maia Sandu in Warsaw. President Biden reaffirmed strong U.S. support for Moldova’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. He highlighted ongoing US assistance to help Moldova strengthen its political and economic resilience, including its democratic reform agenda and energy security, and to address the effects of Russia’s war against Ukraine. It’salmost a guarantee at this point the CIA and U.S. State Dept. have ongoing strategic operations in control of Moldova.

Coincidentally, or not, there is also a large population of ex-pat Moldovans in/around Jackson Hole Wyoming in the USA.

Moldova has also applied for EU membership.

March 2022 – REUTERS – Moldovan President Maia Sandu signed a formal application for her country to join the European Union on Thursday, charting a pro-Western course hastened by Russia’s invasion of neighbouring Ukraine. Sandu’s move comes days after Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskiy signed a request for immediate EU membership as it battles invading Russian forces.

It literally takes years to get on the EU, Ukraine has been trying for 20 years. If she just signed the papers it should taje a long time, but if Moldova is approved by the EU before Ukraine, we’ll know war will start.

The Future of the Colonies

The windows were closed to ensure no information regarding the debate about the future of the colonies would be carried to the people. The men gathered in the stuffy Philadelphia room are now often viewed as demigods for their courage and tenacity as patriots, but in May 1775, they were simply colonists toying with the idea of treason.

Standing alongside John Adams, Richard Henry Lee, Roger Sherman, Dr. John Knox Witherspoon, and Dr. Lyman Hall were others who today occupy the annals of United States history.

John Adams described the quietly efficient Caesar Rodney as “the oddest-looking man in the world; he is tall, thin and slender as a reed, pale; his face is not bigger than a large apple, yet there is a sense of fire, spirit, wit and humor in this countenance.” Adams, in writing about his friend, kindly did not mention the large, probably cancerous facial growth that plagued Rodney most of his later years, often partially obscured by a large handkerchief to reduce the stares. Most have never heard of Rodney, but it was his vote that added Delaware to the “Yea” column.

As the debate raged in 1776 regarding independence, Delaware’s two other delegates, George Read and Thomas McKean, were split on how to cast the colony’s vote. Rodney was home organizing the state militia when he learned there was a tie vote. He left immediately and raced on horseback, through a horrible thunderstorm, to Philadelphia, 80 miles away. Letters record that Rodney dashed into the convention and broke the deadlock that threatened the passage of the Declaration of Independence.

Benjamin Franklin, the oldest delegate and perhaps the best known, quickly became the peacemaker of the convention, his wit defusing tense moments. He had returned from Great Britain in May and, on the following day, had been elected a delegate. Interestingly, delegates did not know where Franklin stood on the issue of independence; he attended the sessions, quietly observed, and seldom joined the others for dinner. John Adams was overheard muttering that Franklin was treated with reverence even when he was “sitting in silence”; Adams was seldom silent.

On the same day (July 5, 1775) that the Olive Branch Petition, offering a path for reconciliation, was signed by the delegates, the delegates learned exactly how Franklin felt. A letter he had written to his English friend William Strahan, a fellow printer, was “leaked” to the public. His words predicted the future, as he wrote: “You are a Member of Parliament, and one of that Majority which has doomed my country to destruction. You have begun to burn our towns, and murder our people. Look upon your hands! They are stained with the blood of your relations! You and I were long friends: You are now my enemy, and I am Yours. B. Franklin.” Franklin never mailed the letter, perhaps written for political purposes only, but he emerged as one of the strongest advocates for revolution.

New Forensic Expert’s Report Out of Allegheny County, PA Shows Duplicate Ballot Scans and over 50,000 “Non-Unique Tabulator CVR Numbers”

Back in September of 2022, forensics expert Erich Speckin discovered over 10,000 ballots in Pennsylvania’s Allegheny County that had substantially inferior image quality compared to other ballots provided:

“Many of these images have similar defects in the printing/copying process which would indicate common source of production, but different than the remaining examined ballots. Clearly in the mail in counting area, a random printing defect that may have existed in mailing out of ballots could not consistently come back and be counted on the same scanner. Therefore, a printing defect on the printing side of the ballot creation is not the likely cause of this anomaly.”

The Gateway Pundit reported on these findings and noted that the 10,000 ballots was almost the margin of victory for Marine Corps veteran Conor Lamb in his race against Army veteran Sean Parnell.

Parnell claimed that, on election night in 2020, his staff determined it was mathematically impossible for Lamb to win and Lamb had allegedly called Parnell on election night to congratulate him on his victory. But as the numbers began to trickle in for the days and weeks after the election, that changed.

Speckin is a forensics expert in document examination with 29 years experience. Back in 2016, “517 Business and Life” wrote an article about Speckin’s history in forensic document review, including work with police departments, attorneys, and consultation with the TV Show “CSI”.

He has reviewed election cases, including ballots, “in many instances in [his] career…” Yesterday, Speckin released another report after further investigation into the data found on the tabulator’s CVR forms obtained through Right To Know requests from Allegheny County.

From the report:

In this case, I had access to PDF scans of the front and back of each ballot as well as the corresponding

PDF of the detail for the counting and tabulation of each ballot. Every ballot has a unique individual

identifying number associated with the counting and is part of the PDF file name.

As a result of only having images, the forensic examination that can be performed is limited. It is always

more desirable to have the original evidence when possible.

Finding 1:

In his investigation, Speckin found that there were over 170 instances where a ballot appeared to be a duplicate scan. This conclusion was derived from comparing all of the marks on ballot images provided by the county and comparing them with ballot images that have the “same markings.” The review of duplicate scanned ballots is ongoing and could potentially increase. AuditTheVotePA is reporting their analysis thus far is at 252 examples.
