Data Supporting the Reported Results of the 2020 Election Does NOT Reconcile with Data in Voting Machine Files – Something Is Very Wrong

After the 2020 Election steal, we knew things were very wrong. Now as experts dig into the 2020 Election results, the final results don’t seem to reconcile with anything.

We learned in 2020 that American elections are a mess. Now here we are a year and a half later and we are uncovering more evidence that the final results in 2020 never should have been certified.

We reported within days of the election and since then that the final numbers made no sense. This was highlighted in our work surrounding the Drop and Roll.

The Edison data used in the above video has since been dug into much deeper. Draza Smith and Jeff O’Donnell are two data experts who began looking at this data. They made numerous observations after doing so as noted in the article below. Some key points are:

Edison data with state totals are provided to mainstream media outlets like the New York Times showing reportedly up-to-date results of the election for each state

There is a separate stream of election data based on county reporting that goes to the state

The Edison state data supplied to the media and the county data supplied to the state don’t mirror each other and don’t agree until very late in the process – these results should mirror each other at all times accounting for timing issues

During the 2020 Election, all Edison data results for all states went to zero, and then when the numbers were reported again the Edison state data showed that President Trump had lost votes in many states. It appears that this ‘Edison zero’ event was done to make it look like President Trump was doing worse in several states

The Edison state data and county data cannot be reconciled

Edison state data was always less than the county data (except with DC)

Ultimately both the Edison state data and the county data come to an agreement at the end of the election

The Edison state data appears almost completely fictional to paint a story to the public

The county data may be fictional as well to some extent but not as off as Edison state data.

Edison data reporting is most likely related to an algorithm or pre-determined value

Battleground states actually had more refined reporting down to the precinct level rather than county level as in other states

The ratio of Trump to Biden votes in the Edison data appears preset for each state before the election

But when Texas and then Florida went to Trump voting had to stop while they rearranged the remainder of the swing state votes

The Edison zero moment occurred after Florida was called for Trump

All states show this pattern

There may be some type of controller that manages the votes – a device similar to ones used in multiple industries

Jeff O’Donnell “I have probably done a fairly deep dive on 12 different states and I have found unacceptable, unacceptable things in all 12. Even in my worst nightmares previous to this election, I never dreamed that anything like this on such a massive scale could happen. We need answers to so many questions.”

Draza Smith shared: “Everything we’ve put together with the idea of how things happened here, played out exactly the same way in the California recall election. Why did all those people…go in and vote and be told, oh you can’t vote, you’ve already cast a vote…So the things that we’re seeing happening are falling into line that it’s the same, it’s the same, it’s the same. We need to start demanding the answers as to why the same, the same, the same.”

We need an audit of our time stamps. We need to get a better idea of how a ballot goes from the voter, to the tabulator, to the state and Edison and eventually to the New York Times.

Saudis Double Russia Crude Imports As It Prepares For BRICS Inclusion

Saudi Arabia has a thirst for heavily discounted Russian diesel and other fuel products banned by many countries in the West.

The world's largest oil exporter more than doubled the amount of Russian fuel oil in the second quarter to supply power generation stations to meet surging cooling demand this summer and allow the kingdom's crude exports to increase.

Western sanctions forced Russia to discount fuel oils on spot markets, which has increased demand in the East, not just from the Saudis but also from China and India.

Energy trade data provided by Reuters shows Saudis imported 647,000 tons (48,000 barrels per day) of fuel oils from Russia in the second quarter – up from 320,000 tons in the same quarter last year.

The surge in the Russia-Saudi energy trade (also detailed in "Middle East Ramps Up Imports Of Shunned Russian Fuels") comes as BRICS International Forum President Purnima Anand told Russian newspaper Izvestia that Saudis are planning to join. That would boost multilateral cooperation between BRICS, including Saudis, meaning they wouldn't cave to the US demands to restrict Russian energy imports.

Colorado Dems Offer Millions In Taxpayer Funded Benefits To Illegals In The State

Colorado’s Democrats, led by Governor Jared Polis, are offering up a treasure trove of the state’s resources to illegal immigrants and billing taxpayers millions to make it happen.

Polis and his Democratic team of lawmakers in the state have opened public benefits like dental insurance, family services, business permits, and professional licenses to the state’s nearly 300,000 illegal aliens.

The move is part of a legislative package signed by Polis last year.

Democrats in Colorado are ensuring that illegal aliens will now be eligible for taxpayer-funded subsidies for property taxes, rental costs, and utility bills.

The move is expected to cost the state’s taxpayers about $12 million annually.

Joe Biden’s administration has supported the move. Health and Human Services (HHS) and Treasury Department approved an application by Colorado officials to provide subsidized health insurance to illegal aliens in the state. State officials expect to enroll about 10,000 illegal aliens under the subsidized health insurance program in the first year. They hope to increase that number each following year.

Polis hasn’t stopped there in his bid to entice illegals to come to his state. He signed legislation that will make pregnant illegal aliens and their children eligible for Medicaid in 2025.

HB22-1289 aims to close gaps in healthcare access for immigrants.

“Expanding healthcare coverage to all children, pregnant and postpartum people, regardless of immigration status, is fundamental to correcting the root causes of health inequities in Colorado,” said Rep. Serena Gonzales-Gutierrez in a statement. “This law will be life-changing for undocumented children and pregnant people who call Colorado home and deserve to have access to the healthcare they need.”

Under the law, pregnant undocumented people who would otherwise qualify for Medicaid and the Children’s Basic Health Plan, or CHIP, would be provided full health insurance coverage for up to a year following a child’s birth. Undocumented children will be eligible until they turn 18.

The change is expected to cost just under $27 million. The federal government will pick up most of that bill, which means all American taxpayers are participating in this plan. The healthcare coverage for illegals will cost Colorado $9.4 million annually by 2025.

Colorado follows suit with states like California, Illinois, and New York, where illegal aliens are awarded driver’s licenses, health insurance, and protection from deportation.

DEA Seizes A Record-Breaking $20 Million In Fentanyl In Southern California

On Thursday, the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) announced that it had seized approximately 1 million fake pills containing fentanyl in Inglewood, California, nine days earlier.

According to a statement from the DEA, the pills were seized on July 5 during a raid of a southern California home. The home is tied to a Los Angeles-area drug trafficking organization with links to Mexico’s Sinaloa Cartel.

According to the agency, the seizure is the largest ever made by the DEA in California. The fake pills have an estimated street value of $15-$20 million.

“This massive seizure disrupted the flow of dangerous amounts of fentanyl into our streets and probably saved many lives,” said DEA Special Agent in Charge Bill Bodner.

Los Angeles DEA agents, aided by the DEA New York Division Tactical Diversion Squad and the Hawthorne Police Department, began investigating the potential cartel-related drug ring in May. The group identified the Southern California narcotic couriers and stash house managers responsible for distributing the narcotics. After identifying the suspect, the agency conducted the raid on the Inglewood home.

The pills seized were produced in Mexico and designed to resemble brand-name prescription medications such as Oxycontin, Percocet, Vicodin, Xanax, and Adderall.

“The deceptive marketing coupled with the ease of accessibility makes these small and seemingly innocuous pills a significant threat to the health and safety of all our communities,” Bodner said.

Bonner noted that “a staggering number of teens and young adults are unaware that they are ingesting fentanyl in these fake pills and are being poisoned.”

Fentanyl is a synthetic opioid that is 100 times stronger than morphine and 50 times stronger than heroin. The drug was created as a legitimate pharmaceutical drug used to treat severe pain after surgery and in advanced-stage cancer patients.

House Passes $850 Billion NDAA, Adding $37 Billion More Than Biden Requested

The Senate still has to pass its own version, which will be even bigger, then the two chambers will negotiate the final bill

The House on Thursday passed its version of the 2023 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) that authorizes $850.3 billion for military spending, increasing President Biden’s requested budget by $37 billion.

The massive spending bill passed in a vote of 329-101, with 62 Republicans and 39 Democrats voting nay. The Senate still has to pass its version of the NDAA, which is even bigger than the House one at $858.5 billion. Once it passes the Senate, the two chambers will then negotiate the final version.

Lawmakers in the House attached hundreds of amendments to the NDAA, including some that could restrict arms sales if they make it to the final version.

Two amendments aimed at limiting arms sales to Saudi Arabia were added to the bill. One, offered by Rep. Gerry Connolly (D-VA), would prohibit the sale of what would be considered “offensive” to Saudi Arabia over Riyadh’s harsh treatment of dissidents.

The other Saudi amendment, offered by Reps. Ted Lieu (D-CA) and Ro Khanna (D-CA), would require an investigation into the use of US-provided arms by the Saudi-led coalition in Yemen. The coalition is notorious for hitting civilian targets with US-made weapons. According to Amnesty International, the coalition used a US-made precision-guided munition to bomb a migrant detention center in January, which killed at least 91 civilians.

President Biden is due to visit Saudi Arabia this weekend as his administration is reportedly considering expanding arms sales to the Kingdom.

Another amendment would block the sale of 40 F-16s to Turkey unless the president got assurances they wouldn’t be used to violate Greek airspace. The Biden administration came out in favor of the F-16 deal after Ankara lifted its objection to Finland and Sweden joining NATO.

UK Outraged After British Volunteer Dies In Russian Custody In Ukraine, Summons Ambassador

A British volunteer who had been arrested in April in the Russian-held southern Ukrainian city of Zaporizhzhia has died in captivity. He was being held by pro-Russian forces of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DNR) for "mercenary" activity.

British media and the UK government have long maintained that the 45-year old Paul Urey was an aid worker and was illegally detained. UK officials are outraged and are pressing the issue with Russian counterparts. "We are urgently raising this with our Ukrainian allies and the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs," the UK's Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office announced Friday.

Local media cited that his mother is "distraught and still in shock" after the foreign office notified her of his death. Authorities are still seeking "clarification" as to his fate, however.

22-year old Dylan Healy, of whom less is known at this point, had been arrested and detained alongside Urey. Russian media reports have accused the men of either being mercenaries or spies. The DNR has recently declared that foreign fighters will be sentenced to death if captured fighting on behalf of the Ukrainians.

In early June, a pair of Britons who were fighting as foreign volunteers for the Ukrainian army, 48-year old Shaun Pinner and 28-year old Aiden Aslin - were sentenced to death by a pro-Russian Donetsk court. They had been captured and Mariupol as it fell.

Unvaccinated Americans up to 9 times more likely to die from COVID-19: CDC

As the new COVID-19 BA. 5 variant is leading to a surge in cases across the country, the bulk of the suffering is falling on the unvaccinated, who are much more likely to get sick and die, data shows.

People ages 5 and older in the US who weren’t vaccinated had a six-time greater “risk of dying” in May when compared to those who had at least one primary series of vaccines by Moderna, Pfizer-BioTech and Johnson & Johnson, according to Centers for Disease Control and Prevention data.

“People who were unvaccinated had a greater risk of testing positive for COVID-19 and a greater risk of dying from COVID-19 than people who were vaccinated overall,” the CDC website reads.

Of those who received the Johnson & Johnson vaccine and a booster dose, just 0.23 per 100,000 cases led to a fatality between September and May, compared to 1.60 among the unvaccinated.

The correlating figures for those who received the primary series and booster shots from Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna were similar, at 0.21 and 0.15, respectively.

Summary

Several factors likely affect crude case rates by vaccination and booster dose status, making interpretation of recent trends difficult. A former CIA software engineer who leaked the so-called “Vault 7” tools was convicted Wednesday of causing the largest theft of classified information in the history of the agency.

Joshua Schulte, who has been sitting behind bars without bail since 2018 and chose to defend himself at trial, told the jury that the CIA and FBI made him a scapegoat for the 2017 WikiLeaks release of up to 34 terabytes of information.

Separately, Schulte awaits trial on possession of child pornography and transport charges, which he has pleaded not guilty to, according to Military.com.

As part of his defense, Schulte claimed he was singled out because “hundreds of people had access to (the information),” adding “Hundreds of people could have stolen it.”

“The government’s case is riddled with reasonable doubt,” he said. “There’s simply no motive here.”

Assistant U.S. Attorney David Denton countered that there was plenty of proof that Schulte pilfered a sensitive backup computer file.

“He’s the one who broke into that system,” Denton said. “He’s the one who took that backup, the backup he sent to WikiLeaks.”

The prosecutor also encouraged jurors to consider evidence of an attempted cover-up, including a list of chores Schulte drew up that had an entry reading, “Delete suspicious emails.”

“This is someone who’s hiding the things that he’s done wrong,” Denton said.

Once the jury got the case, Furman complimented Schulte on his closing argument. -Military.com

Rep. Jim Banks, R-Ind., and Sen. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, demanded Thursday that Gen. Mark Milley finally respond to allegations that he usurped presidential power over the military while he was President Donald Trump’s principal military adviser. Bob Woodward and Robert Costa raised the allegations in their 2021 book “Peril,” and according to the lawmakers, Milley still has not confirmed nor denied them.

“According to Bob Woodward’s book ‘Peril,’Gen. Mark Milley directed senior military officers not to follow the president’s orders unless General Milley approved them first,” Banks said in a speech on the House floor on Thursday.

Grassley said in a speech the same day thatMilley’s alleged actions “strike at the heart of our democracy — civilian control of the military,” adding that, if the allegations are true, the actions would have been unlawful.

“He may have stepped out of his lane as the president’s principal military adviser and into the statutory chain of command, where law doesn’t allow him to go,” Grassley said. “By law, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff has no command authority.”

In a Jan. 13 letter to Milley, Grassley and Sens. Rand Paul and Marsha Blackburn, asked about another account contained in the book, in which Milley allegedly told Chinese general Li Zuocheng that if America were going to attack China, he would “call [Li] ahead of time ”

“It’s not going to be a surprise,” Milley allegedly told Li.

Labour Party Blocks Public Inquiry Into Child Rape Grooming Gangs and Local Failures to Protect Girls

The local Labour Party-run council in Oldham rejected a motion to launch a public inquiry into the grooming gang sexual exploitation of children and the failures of local officials and police to protect them.

Following the release of a report on child sexual exploitation (CSE) in Oldham last month, which found that girls were failed by the very social services meant to protect them and failings among the local police and council, the Failsworth Independent Group (FIP) of local councillors introduced a motion to petition the government to establish an independent public inquiry into the failings.

The left-wing Labour Party introduced an amendment to strip the call for a public inquiry, neutering the motion, sparking fury from local observers of the town hall meeting, some of whom shouted “paedophile protesters” at the councillors, according to footage posted on social media. Due to the overwhelming majority they hold on the body, Labour was able to pass the amendment despite all members of the Failsworth Independents, Conservatives, and Liberal Democrats voting in opposition, the Manchester Evening News reported.

Conservative councillor Robert Barnes called the move a “travesty” and that it was “the night that democracy died in Oldham”.

Councillor Brian Hobin, from Failsworth Independents, said: “We can’t move on. Multiple failings have happened – general apologies; no good.

“We need a public inquiry, an independent one to tell us who failed and why, to tell us who knew and why and who did nothing about it and why.”

The Labour Party argue that instead of establishing an independent inquiry, funds should be directed to the ongoing police investigation into historical child sex abuse, Operation Sherwood.

The European Commission is guilty of “maladministration” for its refusal to release text messages sent between the EU President and the head of vaxx company Pfizer, the bloc’s ombudsman has found.

A failure on the end of the European Commission to release text messages sent between President Ursula von der Leyen and the head of Pfizer constitutes “maladministration”, the bloc’s own ombudsman has found.

The commission had previously rebuffed any suggestion that it was obliged to release correspondence between the two leaders, despite MEPs calling on the Commission President to resign over the scandal after the ombudsman initially found EU tsars guilty of wrongdoing.

Where an unelected by the people president of the European Commission is ‘negotiating’ — personally — with the head of a private company that will affect our basic fundamental human rights?” Terhes himself previously asked during a press conference on the issue, at which he showed off a contract between the EU and a vaccine manufacturer that was released with so many redactions that the majority of text on many pages was completely blacked out.

“This is the great transparency of the European Union,” he said, holding the pages up to those present, before saying that the bloc was in a “deep crisis” over a lack of transparency.

Another MEP, Ivan Vilibor Sinčić of Croatia, meanwhile emphasised that Europe had found itself in a “pandemic of corruption”.

The obsession with identity politics at CAP made it difficult for him to do work involving class and economics, he told the outlet, so he’s leaving for the conservative think tank American Enterprise Institute. Left-leaning think tanks have given in to demands of junior staffers and made it difficult for scholars to discuss crime, immigration and other issues beyond a narrow set of default assumptions, according to Teixeira.

The culture within left-leaning organizations “sends me running screaming from the left,” Teixeira told Politico. “It’s just cloud cuckoo land … the fact that nobody is willing to call bullshit, it just freaks me out.”

“It’s become very hard to have a conversation about race and gender and trans issues, even crime and immigration,” Teixeira told Politico. “You know, ‘How should the left handle these?’ There’s a default assumption about how you’re supposed to talk about these things, even the language. There’s a real chilling effect on all of these organizations.”

Teixeira, coauthor of the 2004 book “The Emerging Democratic Majority,” helped pioneer the idea that Democrats had to win with young and diverse voters to see electoral victories, according to Politico.

“I would say that anybody who has a fundamentally class-oriented perspective, who thinks that’s a more important lens and doesn’t assume that any disparity is automatically a lens of racism or sexism or what have you … I think that perspective is not congenial in most left institutions,” he said.

CAP employees were confused by Teixeira’s decision to leave, according to Politico.

“I am confident that he is unable to give expression to a single example when either his research or his thought leadership found resistance in the organization,” Patrick Gaspard, CAP president, told Politico.

Teixeira did not respond to the Daily Caller News Foundation’s request for comment.

Research Org Working With Wuhan Lab Tried To Use Jan 6 Riot To Stymie Covid Investigation

Attorneys for EcoHealth Alliance, the nonprofit group that funneled taxpayer money to the Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV) for dangerous bat virus experiments, argued in emails that it should not have to turn over records because of the “Jan. 6 disturbance.”

Peter Daszak, the head of EcoHealth Alliance, told the National Institutes of Health (NIH) he could not provide records about his research requested by the agency because of “intense geopolitical pressure” around the WIV and COVID-19, according to new emails obtained by Judicial Watch. Additionally, attorneys representing EcoHealth said a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request should be denied because of the Capitol riot on Jan. 6, 2021.

“[A]s demonstrated by the recent attack on the U.S. Capitol fueled by disinformation and conspiracy theories, the need to protect the privacy of EcoHealth Alliance’s employees and affiliates is more important than ever,” the law firm’s representative wrote.

NIH sought EcoHealth’s assistance in fulfilling a FOIA request, prompting the Jan. 6 excuse for not complying. Daszak’s deflection to “intense geopolitical pressure” came in response to an NIH request to provide all WIV biosafety reports from June 1, 2014 to May 31, 2019.

“Given the intense geopolitical pressure around the accusations that WIV intentionally or accidentally released SARS-CoV-2 (something which the WHO mission deemed ‘extremely unlikely’), obtaining such information is not a plausible option at present,” Daszak wrote in an email.

Daszak led the initial World Health Organization (WHO) investigation that determined a lab leak of COVID-19 from the WIV was “unlikely,” leading some observers to allege a conflict of interest.

Daszak’s organization has come under scrutiny for helping facilitate gain-of-function research at the WIV. These experiments make bat-based coronaviruses more transmissible and dangerous. EcoHealth Alliance has continuously denied any connection to the COVID-19 outbreak.

The advertisement, “Saddle Up,” details the personal hardships she endured as a child after losing her father in an accident and nearly losing their ranch, which was saved through “grit” and “God’s grace.” The ad touted South Dakota’s economy, tourism and the trend of families moving to the state.

“Here, freedom runs free. So saddle up, we’re just getting started,” the governor said in the ad.

Her campaign released a total of nine ads. Overall, the advertisement earned one quarter of its audience size from South Dakota, 11% in South Carolina, 10% in Ohio, nine percent in Pennsylvania and six percent in Iowa, according to Meta summary data.

The advertisement earned the majority of its audience size from probable key swing states in the 2024 presidential election, including New Hampshire, Ohio and Iowa. One version of the ad earned 86% of its audience from New Hampshire, another earned 93% of its views from Ohio, and one garnered 87% of its views in Nevada. A separate advertisement earned 86% in Pennsylvania.

Another ad earned the majority of its views from Texas, followed by California, Florida and Pennsylvania. One ad had an audience solely from South Carolina, while another had 86% of its audience come from Iowa.

One of the ads, which earned an estimated audience size of over 1 million, earned the majority of its viewership in South Dakota with six percent coming from Texas. An estimated four percent came from her own state, Ohio and Florida and three percent from California, Mississippi, Michigan and Tennessee.

A recent poll found that Republican Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis is narrowly leading former President Donald Trump among Republican support in a potential 2024 presidential primary. The Florida governor garnered 39% of support while Trump attained 37%. Noem garnered one percent of support.

House Agrees To Fund Psychedelic Research For Vets With PTSD

Two amendments were added Wednesday to the National Defense Authorization Act that would expand research into psychedelic treatments for veterans and active-duty service members.

Republican Texas Rep. Dan Crenshaw and Democratic New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez are behind the two amendments, which seek to expand research into the impacts of various forms of psychedelics in treating mental health issues, according to the Texas Signal. Ocasio-Cortez’s amendment authorizes research on MDMA and psilocybin as alternative options to opioids, the outlet reported.

Crenshaw spoke Wednesday in support of his amendment, which will “create a grant program for psychedelic treatment for PTSD.” He argued that the United States is “losing the battle with veteran suicide” and “new ideas” are needed to help win the war, according to his statements in the House.

“And for our active-duty service members, the situation is even worse as they are precluded from even trying treatments, such as psychedelics, that could save their lives and bring hope to their families,” Crenshaw continued. “I aim to change that. First of all, this form of treatment actually isn’t new. It’s proven and it’s tested.”

Crenshaw was quick to note that the amendment does not legalize or de-schedule psychedelics, according to the clip. He focused on private sector research that has found positive results in the use of various psychedelics for treating and even mitigating PTSD, citing examples from his own friendship group.

Both Crenshaw and Ocasio-Cortez’s amendment were approved shortly after he spoke, according to the Intercept.

The $839 billion National Defense Authorization Act was approved Thursday in a 329-101 vote, Politico reported. Along with increasing veteran and active duty service members’ access to treatments for PTSD, the bill provides troops with a 4.6% pay rise, the outlet noted.

Biden to discuss oil output hike in Saudi Arabia, up pressure on Iran

The US delegation visiting Saudi Arabia, headed by President Joe Biden, will discuss during their visit to Saudi Arabia the possibility of Riyadh increasing its oil production and pumping out more oil into the global market, White House national security adviser Jake Sullivan said Friday.

"We will discuss energy security at this meeting. The President [Biden] discusses it when he's in Europe, when he's in Asia and he certainly will be discussing it here in the Middle East and here in Saudi Arabia" Sullivan said.

Biden arrived at Al-Lydd's Ben Gurion Airport, occupied Palestine, on Wednesday, where he was received by high-ranking Israeli officials on his first official visit to occupied Palestine as President. He is scheduled to meet with Lapid and other senior Israeli officials on Thursday.

Biden spent two days in occupied Al-Quds for talks with Israeli officials then headed to the occupied West Bank to meet with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas on Friday. He packed his bags and headed to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, on Friday after concluding his tour in occupied Palestine.

The tour will see the US leader try and mend ties with Saudi Arabia to persuade Riyadh and other Gulf allies to pump out more oil in the markets as the Biden administration faces mounting criticism over the soaring oil prices.

More sanctions on Iran

Upon completing his first leg in occupied Palestine, he signed with Israeli occupation caretaker Prime Minister Yair Lapid a security pact reinforcing the US-Israeli front against the Islamic Republic.

Iranian army commander Abdolrahim Mousavi said on television that Tehran was "aware of the aggressive attitude in the (United States') system of domination, it is necessary to increase our defensive capabilities day-by-day."

Sullivan revealed that his country intended to hike economic pressure on Iran and introduce new rounds of sanctions against the Islamic Republic.

"The deal is on the table. Should the Iranians choose to take it, we're ready for compliance, for compliance return. But we're also not waiting to continue to impose economic pressure on Iran," Sullivan said.

"Further economic pressure on Iran will include two rounds of sanctions. Designations that we have done to enforce the sanctions and crack down on smuggling and deprive Iran of sources of revenue will continue to do that, even as we work at the negotiating table to try to produce a return to the JCPOA," he claimed.

US President Joe Biden and Israeli occupation Prime Minister Yair Lapid have been reportedly discussing signing an accord that will see the two upping the commitment to preventing Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons and carrying out "destabilizing activities", a senior US administration official said Thursday.

Major powers and Iran were holding talks in the Austrian capital of Vienna with the aim of reviving the 2015 nuclear agreement and returning the United States to it following Washington's unilateral withdrawal in 2018 under then-President Donald Trump, who accompanied his decision with the imposition of harsh sanctions on Tehran.

The Biden administration had pledged to stop embarking on the Trump administration's "maximum pressure policy", but it has only been going against its promises.

The negotiations are yet to yield a deal, and Biden wants to ensure that Washington, "Tel Aviv", and Riyadh are on the same page on Tehran if the Iran nuclear talks fail, The New York Times said, noting that the US President is hoping the talks succeed.

European "independence"

The US official also revealed that his country was making joint efforts with Washington's partners in Asia and West Asia to end Europe's dependence on Russian energy by increasing oil and gas supplies to Europe.

"[T]hat doesn't happen overnight, but it does require the concerted common effort of the United States and many other countries working to help increase supply to Europe," he said.

"We're doing that and, frankly, we're doing that along with partners in Asia and partners in the Middle East."

Canadian government invests $8.5 million in insect production

LONDON, ONTARIO — Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada revealed June 27 an $8.5 million investment to Aspire, an insect agricultural company, to build a new production facility in Canada. The facility will process cricket-based protein, helping to advance the use of insect proteins in human and pet food products.

According to Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada, food-grade processing of insects is relatively new in Canada, however insect-based proteins create an opportunity for the country’s agri-food industry to develop more sustainable products.

"The strength of Canadian agriculture has always been its openness to new ideas and new approaches,” said Peter Fragiskatos, parliamentary secretary to the Minister of National Revenue and member of Parliament for London North Center. “Aspire is helping to re-shape how we think about agriculture and opening the door to new product and market opportunities."

Founded in 2013, Aspire strives to tackle worldwide food scarcity with a focus on edible insect production, therefore developing highly nutritious foods and lowering its environmental impact. Currently, the company has production facilities in London, Ontario, and Austin, Texas. In 2020, Aspire purchased 12 acres of land in Ontario to construct what it expects to be the largest automated, food-grade cricket processing facility in the world.

"Aspire is re-imagining what it means to sustainably produce food, and how smart technology can turn that vision into a reality,” said Francious Drouin, parliamentary secretary to the Minister of Agriculture and Agri-food Canada. “Aspire's innovative facility will help further establish London's reputation as a hub for cutting-edge technology, strongly contributing to Ontario and Canada's position as an innovator in agriculture and agri-food."

Apsire plans to use the investment, as well as smart technology, to build its first commercial insect production facility in Ontario. The facility will boost Aspire’s insect farming capabilities, providing it with the ability to grow and monitor billions of crickets, which will be used to create nutrient-rich protein ingredients for use in the human and pet food industries.

"Aspire is grateful to Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada for its support of our first commercial facility,” said Mohammed Ashour, co-founder and chief executive officer of Aspire. “A growing population and increasing demand for food and material requires sustainable, scalable solutions that keep our world healthy."

The company plans to use technology to its advantage, significantly decreasing production costs, which will make its products more affordable to both Canada’s and the world’s food industries.

Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada’s investment comes from the AgriInnovate Program, an initiative committed to accelerating the commercialization of innovative products, technologies and processes that increase Canada’s competitiveness in the agriculture market.
