This amounts to tacit acceptance that the New Cold War between NATO and Russia, invoked so frequently of late, will become a self-fulfilling prophecy.

The report, entitled “A Clean Break: A New Strategy for Securing the Realm,” is the framework for a series of follow-up reports on strategy.

Israel has a large problem. Labor Zionism, which for 70 years has dominated the Zionist movement, has generated a stalled and shackled economy. Efforts to salvage Israel’s socialist institutions—which include pursuing supranational over national sovereignty and pursuing a peace process that embraces the slogan, “New Middle East”—undermine the legitimacy of the nation and lead Israel into strategic paralysis and the previous government’s “peace process.” That peace process obscured the evidence of eroding national critical mass— including a palpable sense of national exhaustion—and forfeited strategic initiative. The loss of national critical mass was illustrated best by Israel’s efforts to draw in the United States to sell unpopular policies domestically, to agree to negotiate sovereignty over its capital, and to respond with resignation to a spate of terror so intense and tragic that it deterred Israelis from engaging in normal daily functions, such as commuting to work in buses.

Benjamin Netanyahu’s government comes in with a new set of ideas. While there are those who will counsel continuity, Israel has the opportunity to make a clean break; it can forge a peace process and strategy based on an entirely new intellectual foundation, one that restores strategic initiative and provides the nation the room to engage every possible energy on rebuilding Zionism, the starting point of which must be economic reform. To secure the nation’s streets and borders in the immediate future, Israel can:

Work closely with Turkey and Jordan to contain, destabilize, and roll-back some of its most dangerous threats. This implies clean break from the slogan, “comprehensive peace” to a traditional concept of strategy based on balance of power.

Change the nature of its relations with the Palestinians, including upholding the right of hot pursuit for self defense into all Palestinian areas and nurturing alternatives to Arafat’s exclusive grip on Palestinian society.

Forge a new basis for relations with the United States—stressing self-reliance, maturity, strategic cooperation on areas of mutual concern, and furthering values inherent to the West. This can only be done if Israel takes serious steps to terminate aid, which prevents economic reform.

Ron DeSantis Is Persona Non Grata at a Holocaust Memorial

New York’s Museum of Jewish Heritage bans the Florida governor to promote ‘its message of inclusivity.’

A remarkable Jewish renaissance is under way in Florida. Jewish schools and synagogues are rapidly expanding. Jews from the Northeast and Midwest, as well as Latin America and Israel, are migrating to the Sunshine State in significant numbers, making the Jewish communities there lively and varied. Florida’s booming and low-tax economy is no doubt one of the attractions to young Jews seeking to build a prosperous future for themselves and their families. So is Florida’s educational system, which provides tax credits that assist many parents in sending their children to Jewish day schools.

We launched the Jewish Leadership Conference, an annual gathering to consider the challenges facing the Jewish people and Israel. It is hosted by Tikvah, a 20-year old Jewish educational and cultural institution whose main activity in America is teaching young Jews about Jewish history and civilization. We thought it would be interesting to invite Gov. Ron DeSantis to discuss how the “Florida model” has contributed to the growth and vitality of Jewish life in his state. The event was to be held at the Museum of Jewish Heritage in New York City. Until, we got canceled.

Over the years, Tikvah has hosted numerous conferences at the museum, always including prominent Jewish, Israeli and American thinkers and leaders of various political and religious points of view. We were working closely with the museum on the details for the June 12 event—until, out of the blue, we were told by the museum staff that Mr. DeSantis didn’t “align with the museum’s values and its message of inclusivity.” Either we disinvite the governor, they said, or our event was unwelcome.

Throughout the modern age, Jews have suffered the consequences of this kind of intolerance. We see it all the time on college campuses, where anti-Semitism…

But we know things are bad when a Jewish institution—in this case, a museum whose purpose is to keep Jewish heritage alive by remembering the Holocaust—turns on its own and tries to make a virtue of its own intolerance.

What drives our elite institutions—to shut down speakers and ideas that question progressive orthodoxy? In many cases, the explanation is sheer cowardice. A lot of people dislike Mr. DeSantis, and the museum staff must have asked: What if there are protests? Protecting free speech requires moral and political courage. Many administrators, corporate CEOs and college presidents have weak spines. The new czars of cancel culture seem to have little such moral imagination or civic tolerance.

The new thought police don’t see themselves as acting solely or primarily out of fear. They believe they are defending the good: inclusion against hate, equality against discrimination, victimized minorities against white privilege. Yet the pseudo-gospel of inclusion breaks down quickly. In the name of inclusivity, a Jewish museum sent us a clear message: Some people are to be excluded. In the name of fighting hate,the museum decided that the millions of Floridians who support Gov. DeSantis—including many Jews—are so hateful that they don’t even merit a voice in the great American conversation. A museum of tolerance has become intolerant.

When pressed for a further explanation of why our event was canceled, the museum’s CEO adopted a common form of doublespeak: We don’t do politics, he told us, whether left or right. Not surprisingly, this was false….

The museum has hosted other politicians, including Linda Thomas-Greenfield, the U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, who recently described America as a society plagued by white supremacy.

When we launched the Jewish Leadership Conference a few years ago, we gave our inaugural Prize for Jewish Leadership to the freedom fighter Natan Sharansky, who endured a decade in a Soviet prison in his fight to rejoin his people in Israel. In his memoir, “Fear No Evil,” he tells how the Soviet thought police suffocated liberty “not by tanks and missiles, or even camps and prisons,” but by turning free citizens into frightened supplicants, afraid to speak their minds.

The preservation of Jewish heritage depends not only on remembering the lost Jews but also toward a vibrant Jewish future—the kind of Jewish renaissance we are seeing today in Florida.

The Jewish Leadership Conference won’t be canceled, and the governor of the state with America’s third-largest Jewish population will speak… But it is sad the Jewish museum won’t allow alternative ideas a seat at the Jewish table.

Biden uses Cinco de Mayo to push for pathway to citizenship for illegal immigrants

If Congress won't pass broad immigration reform, Biden wants them to pass bills supporting DREAMers and other migrant groups

President Joe Biden pushed his legislation supporting a pathway for citizenship for illegal immigrants during a Cinco de Mayo reception on Thursday.

First Lady Jill Biden gave the first speech for the White House Rose Garden event, which featured Mexico's first lady, Beatriz Gutiérrez Müller, and several cabinet members.

Biden touted his American Rescue Plan, before turning to speak about how his administration is "working to fix our immigration system as well."

He stressed that America can "secure our borders and keep lit the torch of liberty."

Biden spoke about his U.S. Citizenship Act of 2021, which he sent to Congress more than a year ago. The bill bounced around several committees before being referred to the Subcommittee on Immigration and Citizenship, where it has sat since April 2021.

"On my first day in office, I sent an immigration bill to Congress that would provide a pathway to citizenship for immigrants contributing to our economy," he told the crowd.

"That’s — we are — we — you know, we are an immigrant nation. I mean, we — we litera- — I mean, we say that, but people act like they don’t believe it. We are an immigrant na- — and that is our strength. That is our strength," he said, according to the official White House transcript.

"But if Congress won’t act on broader reform, let’s pass the bills that have bipartisan support — for DREAMers and those Temporary Protected Status farm workers, essential workers," he said.

Biden's comments come as record numbers of illegal migrants are crossing into the United States. Border Patrol agents encountered more than 221,000 migrants at the southern border in March, the highest number seen under Biden so far.

n explosive report from James O’Keefe’s watchdog organization Project Veritas accuses President Joe Biden’s administration of resettling Afghans, listed on the federal government’s “Terrorism Watch List,” across American communities over the last eight months as part of its withdrawal from Afghanistan.

With the help of Republicans and Democrats in Congress, Biden has resettled more than 85,000 Afghans in American communities across 46 states since mid-August 2021 and plans to continue resettling tens of thousands of Afghans throughout the year.

Biden is currently asking Congress to authorize the resettlement of Afghans for the next decade and to put resettled Afghans on a fast-track to naturalized American citizenship. That plan is being supported by Sens. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) and Rob Portman (R-OH).

This week, Project Veritas released a report alleging that whistleblowers from inside the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) have handed over documentation allegedly showing that Biden resettled Afghans in the U.S. who are considered national security threats with ties to terrorism.

Breitbart News was not able to independently verify whether the individuals named in the Project Veritas report were, in fact, the individuals on the Terrorism Watch List.

“The records we’ve obtained confirm these individuals as national security threats currently within our borders,” O’Keefe states.

Anwarallhaq Wahidi, for example, is allegedly listed as a “Category 15” threat on the agency’s Terrorism Watch List for having used explosives or arms in the past, according to Project Veritas, and is considered armed and dangerous.

“Documents further reveal he was only added to the Terrorist Watch List after already being admitted into the U.S. on October 17, 2021 under Operation Allies Welcome,” O’Keefe states. “Wahidi applied the next day for a two-year work visa and 10 days later, it was approved.”

Nazir Ahmad Rahimi is allegedly listed as a “Category 7” threat on the Terrorism Watch List, alleges to Project Veritas. The report claims that Rahimi entered the U.S. on August 24, 2021, and was allegedly flagged by DHS for having “engaged or is likely to engage in an unspecified terrorist act.”

Project Veritas claims that Rahimi was taken into custody by the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency on December 1, 2021, but has not been deported. Project Veritas alleges that his last known address is located in Washington, D.C.

Ismail Jurat arrived in the U.S. on August 31, 2021, according to Project Veritas. Less than a month after his U.S. arrival, Project Veritas alleges, DHS re-added Jurat to their Terrorism Watch List as a “Category 15” threat.

Jurat’s work visa, Project Veritas claims, has been approved by DHS.

Tahsinullah Wafa Manozai was given humanitarian parole by the Biden administration on October 14, 2021, upon entry into the U.S., according to Project Veritas, and was allegedly added to the Terrorism Watch List the following day as a “Category 7” threat. His two-year work visa was approved, Project Veritas claims.

Iobal Alokozay was allegedly arrested in Afghanistan for murder in December 2014, according to Project Veritas, and given humanitarian parole after entering the U.S. on August 25, 2021. Abiding by Biden’s so-called “sanctuary country” orders, ICE dismissed Alokozay’s case, Project Veritas alleges, because it “does not meet ICE enforcement priorities.”

Alokozay remains in the U.S., and his work visa application is currently pending, according to Project Veritas.

The Project Veritas accusations come as Breitbart News has extensively chronicled the Biden administration’s failed vetting of Afghan nationals to the U.S.

In February, the Department of Defense’s (DOD) Inspector General issued a report detailing how the Biden administration resettled Afghans in American communities without properly vetting them beforehand.

Many have been deemed “significant security concerns” and cannot be located in the U.S.

Specifically, the Defense Department report details how Biden’s “agencies did not use all available data when vetting Afghan evacuees” and therefore, the National Ground Intelligence Center (NGIC) discovered “Afghans with derogatory information … who were believed to be in the U.S.”

“As of November 2, 2021, NGIC personnel had identified 50 Afghan personnel in the United States with information in DOD records that would indicate potentially significant security concerns … DOD personnel could not locate some Afghan evacuees whom NGIC personnel identified as having derogatory information,” the report concluded.
