Perdue: ‘Stacey Abrams Will Never Be Governor of Georgia’ — ‘She’s a Fraud’

Former Sen. David Perdue, a GOP gubernatorial candidate in Georgia, on Sunday declared that “Stacey Abrams will never be governor of Georgia.”

Perdue told Fox News Network’s “Sunday Morning Futures” that Abrams was a “fraud.” He argued the Democratic gubernatorial candidate “lied” about voter suppression in Georgia’s 2018 race for governor, which she has yet to concede to Gov. Brian Kemp (R).

“Stacey Abrams will never be governor of Georgia — for one reason: she’s a fraud,” Perdue declared. “What she has done is materialized a lie over the last three years of voter suppression in Georgia, and she can never be governor.”

“She didn’t even go to the meeting with Joe Biden,” he continued. “When he came down there to talk about our ‘racist’ voter suppression laws, she wouldn’t even stand on the podium with him when he came to Georgia. And now we see him considering her sister for the Supreme Court. I mean, this is as corrupt as it gets, Maria.”

Perdue went on to say that President Joe Biden considering Abrams’ sister, Georgia Federal Judge Leslie Abrams Gardner, for the U.S. Supreme Court was “nothing but payback for all the help that Stacey Abrams gave Joe Biden in 2020.”

A cartoon titled “Where’s Trudo?” is brutally mocking Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau for hiding while “Freedom Convoy” truckers protested coronavirus lockdowns and masking mandates in Ottawa.

The parody of Trudeau’s authoritarian Canada was created in the “Where’s Waldo” style by artist Bob Moran and features in comic form many of the outrageously, left-wing people and events that are occurring in Canada even as the Freedom Convoy is desperately trying to put a halt to some of it.

The individual vignettes are cleverly showing how Canada has spun off the rails into far-left lunacy and authoritarianism.

One segment, for instance, shows how Canadian Christian pastors and ministers have been harassed and arrested by Trudeau’s police forces for daring to hold church services during the coronavirus pandemic:

Israel’s Freedom Convoy is setting out on Monday from a number of cities across the country, calling on the government to declare an end to the state of emergency that began two years ago with the outbreak of the COVID epidemic.

According to JNS, cars, trucks, tractors, and motorcycles will be converging on Jerusalem later in the day, meeting up at the Knesset. Other groups will take positions on bridges and at other prominent locations. The protest has been named “Take back the wheel,” with organizers stressing the need to restore basic human freedoms that have been curtailed or eliminated by the government via emergency powers it has voted into law and repeatedly extended.

The project was inspired by the Canadian Freedom Convoy, otherwise known as the truckers’ protest, which is still ongoing. It is being organized by laypeople and supported via a crowdfunding campaign.

The protesters have six main goals: repealing the government’s emergency powers; restoring a normal routine for all students (including an end to the mask mandate); a total reopening of the economy (including an end to testing); ending illegal surveillance of citizens; an end to discrimination based on vaccination status; and the full disclosure of contracts and protocols between the government and other agents.

The final demand includes the release of the contract signed between the Israeli government and pharmaceutical giant Pfizer, which led to Israel being the first country in the world to launch a mass vaccination program, and paying well above market price for Pfizer’s COVID shots. Contracts signed by Pfizer with other countries have similarly been withheld from the public, although small parts of some contracts have been leaked. What is known, however, based on statements by Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla, is that Pfizer was desirous of using Israel as its “laboratory” due to its excellent system of healthcare data collection – the data has been transferred to Pfizer for analysis.

“The recent morbidity wave has exposed government shortcomings and poor management of the crisis, which in turn has created a crisis of confidence,” according to the Convoy’s organizers. “Many government forecasts have failed to prove true; many promises haven’t been kept, and citizens have come to the realization that their elected members in the Knesset are disinterested in their wellbeing, improvising with illogical regulations, and driven by personal interests and not by the welfare of the public. The role of the government is not to rule but to serve its citizens.”

PARIS, FRANCE -

French President Emmanuel Macron has been slammed for the use of armoured police vehicles against the banned Paris Freedom Convoy after nearly 100 were arrested by police.

Paris saw police arrest 97 people on Saturday, as the nation’s Freedom Convoy protest hit the streets of the capital, despite a ban imposed by French authorities.

According to a report by Le Monde, 81 people were in police custody as of 6 am this morning local time, with one of those held being described as one of the “faces” of France’s “Yellow Vest” movement.

Meanwhile, an internal investigation into the actions of one officer is being launched, after a video emerged online showing one demonstrator being left with a head injury after being struck by police.

“A video is currently circulating on social networks following a police intervention on the Champs-Elysées,” the publication reports the authorities as saying. “The prefect is having an internal administrative investigation launched.”

Police also emphasised that the ban on the protest remains ongoing, according to the Le Monde report.

Hundreds of fines have also been handed out to individuals during the demonstrations, according to POLITICO.

One piece of footage which emerged on social media even appears to show police tear gas being used against a café.

Meanwhile, French President Emmanuel Macron received swift backlash for the police use of armoured vehicles against the banned demonstration.

Like a number of other countries in Europe and further afield, France has begun a harsh crackdown on anti-lockdown protesters, with video emerging yesterday of law enforcement beating demonstrators and breaking the windows of cars.

Right-wing populist presidential candidate Marine Le Pen has been one of the big names to hit out at President Macron, who she accused of kicking off his presidential reelection campaign with “armoured vehicles”.

“In the wake of the arrival of armoured vehicles from the gendarmerie in Paris, he could declare his candidacy because, symbolically, I find that it resembles his mandate,” Le Pen said, saying Macron’s previous five years in the presidency has been characterised by “chaos, disorder, conflict, division of the French people.”

“Energy prices keep rising. No government response. The vaccination pass is useless and yet it does not remove this device that violates individual freedoms,” Le Pen had previously said regarding the demonstrations. “I understand the annoyance of the French.”

Socialist presidential candidate Nathalie Arthaud also praised the demonstrations, describing them as “the denunciation of soaring gas prices”, “precariousness” and “low wages”.

“They are right to fight and I applaud them for inviting themselves into this election campaign,” the candidate told France Info. “It feels good to finally hear about the problems of the working classes.”

Firebrand populist candidate Eric Zemmour also took aim at Emmanuel Macron, saying that he had drastically mismanaged the Chinese Coronavirus pandemic.

“The vaccination pass must be abolished,” Zemmour wrote online. “Emmanuel Macron has decidedly mismanaged this epidemic crisis. I have been saying since December that we must take lasting measures because the epidemic is becoming endemic.”

A surprisingly large share of Democrats wants to see Hillary Clinton investigated over her possible role in manufacturing dirt to try to tie Donald Trump to the Kremlin, a new poll shows.

The survey, conducted by TechnoMetrica Institute of Policy and Politics in New Jersey last month, polled 1,308 Americans about the mushrooming investigation by Special Counsel John Durham into the FBI’s probe of Trump’s alleged links to Russia during the 2016 presidential campaign.

Nearly three out of four of those polled who are following the story said they think it’s important prosecutors investigate Clinton for her role in the Russiagate scandal along with her top campaign advisers.

That includes two-thirds — or 66 percent — of the Democrats polled who said they have been keeping up with the case.

That’s up 20 points from this past October, when TIPP asked the same question of a national panel, and indicates the Durham probe may be turning Democratic opinion regarding Clinton and the controversy.

Meanwhile, 91 percent of Republicans in the same group and 65 percent of Independents also called for Clinton to specifically be investigated.

Will ‘freedom convoys’ escalate further in Europe?

The situation with Canada-inspired trucker protests is particularly delicate in France because of the upcoming election

The ‘Freedom Convoy’ has well and truly arrived in Europe. Inspired by the protests in Canada, those opposed to mask mandates and Covid passports have descended on Paris and caused a day of disruption on Saturday, resulting in tear gas being fired and over 50 arrests. The protesters now plan to move on to Brussels for an even larger Europe-wide demonstration.

Unlike in Canada, the authorities in France, which encounter regular protests, were more prepared. The French police made it clear that those found to be blocking roads would be fined 4,500 euro, and over 7,000 officers were deployed to strategic toll booths to prevent the truckers from entering the city. But this did not deter those determined to protest against President Emmanuel Macron’s Covid rules, which were brought into force in January. Indeed, convoys travelled from as far as Toulouse, Le Mans, Nice, and other cities, to converge on Paris.

Although the French police claimed that they had prevented at least 500 vehicles from entering the city and had handed out 300 fines, around 3,000 vehicles of the ‘Freedom Convoy’ managed to make it into the centre of Paris and block the Champs Elysees.

But in the grand scheme of things, what does this all mean? There can be no doubt that a sizeable portion of Europeans are frustrated by the restrictive Covid policies of their governments, and some are prepared to act. The situation, however, is politically more delicate in France than anywhere else, as the presidential election is due to take place in April.

That alone helps explain why President Macron has been relatively restrained in his denunciation of the protests, merely admitting that there was “fatigue” linked to the Covid outbreak and calling “for the utmost calm.” This represents a sharp change in tack from Macron, who only last month said that he wanted to “p**s off” those who refused the vaccination and were opposed to his Covid passport scheme. It seems now that he is getting his wish, he probably regrets his previous bravado.

Representative Adam Kinzinger (R-IL) said Sunday on CBS’s “Face the Nation” that the House Select Committee investigating the Capitol riot on January 6, 2021, fully excepted former President Donald Trump’s former lawyer Rudy Giuliani will testify.

You are on that Jan. 6th committee, as we mentioned, Rudy Giuliani, the president’s attorney, former attorney, is apparently speaking to the committee in some form. Is he being cooperative at this point? What can you tell us about that?

KINZINGER: Well, what I can tell you is he’s been subpoenaed, our expectation is he is going to cooperate because that’s the law, that’s the requirement, same as if somebody subpoenaed to court. There may be some changes and dates and moments here as, you know, lawyers do their back and forth. But we fully expect that in accordance with the law. We’ll hear from Rudy. It’s all about our mission – serving those who serve us, and this is a way to go into greater detail, telling the stories and shedding light on the many heroes of our society and some of the injustices they are facing.

From brilliant clinical and research psychologist Dr. Christopher Freuh, who shared the effects of combat on our military, to individuals we have been able to assist like Navy SEAL Aaron Howard or the mothers of two service members who took their lives and how their families are working to bring an end to this crisis…these are their real stories and we honored that they are trusting us to share them.
