Last Monday the Arizona Senate reconvened. During a senate session, the discussion turned to the UOCAVA voters — the voters covered under the Uniform Overseas Civilian Absentee Voting Act. These are the men and women who are serving their country in the military and send in a mail-in vote from where they are stationed outside the country.

During the hearing, Paul Harris, a Maricopa resident and veteran in corporate executive management, spoke to the committee. Harris was a manager during the audit of the Maricopa County audit of the 2020 election ballots.

It’s an 8 1/2 X 11 sheet of copy paper.

A Washington deputy accidentally shot and killed an off-duty police officer at his home Saturday night after the officer tried to fight off an armed robbery suspect on the run from law enforcement, authorities said.

Vancouver Police Officer Daniel Sahota, 52, was identified as the off-duty officer and homeowner killed, the department announced Sunday.

Clark County sheriff’s deputies were responding around 8:15 p.m. to an armed robbery at a convenience store in the Orchards area when the suspect fled in a stolen vehicle, the Clark County Sheriff’s Office said.

The suspect, who was described as having a handgun, traveled toward Battle Ground, Washington, where he abandoned the vehicle during a police chase and fled on foot, according to authorities.

The suspect reached the home of Sahota, who armed himself and left his home to try and detain the suspect. But the off-duty officer and the suspect became engaged in a scuffle, FOX12 Oregon reported, citing authorities.

During the fight, investigators said Sahota lost control of his firearm and suffered several stab wounds. The suspect then ran toward Sahota’s home, where his wife was on the phone with 911 inside.

As Sahota recovered his firearm and chased after the suspect, Clark County deputies arrived at the scene. A deputy opened fire and struck Sahota before realizing he was the homeowner and not the alleged robbery suspect, KGW-TV reported, citing investigators.

Sahota collapsed on his front porch and was immediately given medical aid, authorities said. He died at the scene.

More than 100 petition signatories decried “criminal adventurism” in Moscow’s foreign policy

Amid ongoing fears in the West that Moscow could be planning an invasion of Ukraine, a group of prominent Russian liberals and anti-Kremlin activists has published a petition warning the government to step back from the brink, and criticizing authorities for their role in the worsening standoff.

More than 100 people, mostly writers, activists, and scholars, signed the petition, titled “Declaration by the supporters of peace against the Party of War in the Russian government” and published on news site Echo of Moscow on Sunday.

The authors cite reports of a possible Russian invasion of Ukraine, deliveries of Russian military equipment into the war-torn Donbass region, and NATO armament in eastern Europe. “The citizens of Russia are de facto becoming prisoners of criminal adventurism, the direction Russian foreign policy is taking,” they write.

The signatories include Lev Ponomaryov, an activist and founder of the organization 'For Human Rights.' Ponomaryov has been labeled a ‘foreign agent’ by Moscow’s Ministry of Justice over links to funding from abroad. Also on the list are Boris Vishnevksy, a leader in the liberal opposition party Yabloko; and Lev Gudkov, academic supervisor of the polling organization Levada Center, also recognized as a ‘foreign agent.’

US has secret weapon against Russia – Nuland

If Washington discloses its sanctions in advance, Moscow will take steps to get around them, a top officials warns

The US is to keep its planned sanctions against Russia completely secret, so Moscow doesn’t have the opportunity to mitigate them in advance, a senior American official said on Sunday.

Speaking to CBS, US Under Secretary of State Victoria Nuland explained that Washington was working on a set of measures that would be imposed were Russia to invade Ukraine, but would not be letting the Kremlin know what they were beforehand.

“With regard to this package of sanctions … deterrence is best when there’s a little bit of strategic ambiguity around exactly what we are going to do,” Nuland explained. “So, we’ve said financial measures, we’ve said export controls, we’ve said new sanctions on Russian elites. But if we put them on the table now, then Russia will be able to start mitigating, and that doesn’t make any sense to us.”

Nuland’s statement came as a group of US lawmakers from both the Democratic and Republican parties, led by Senator Bob Menendez (D-NJ), reported that they were close to agreeing on a set of sanctions that could be implemented immediately after any Russian invasion.

According to Washington, the package of measures is designed to deter Russia from considering a military incursion into Ukraine. Moscow stands accused of placing 100,000 troops on the border, with some alleging it is planning an attack. This claim has been repeatedly denied by the Kremlin and played down by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

Reports have suggested the sanctions will focus on Russian banks and the export and import of certain goods. The US has also been working with the EU to develop a multilateral response that could take aim at the energy industry.

“We are working intensively with Congress on this piece of legislation that we expect will be very well aligned with what we are building with our NATO allies and partners,” Nuland said.

Thousands Gather in Czech Capital to Protest COVID-19 Restrictions

Thousands of people gathered in the capital of the Czech Republic over the weekend to take part in a protest against mandatory COVID-19 vaccinations and other restrictions targeting unvaccinated individuals.

More than 6,000 activists reportedly massed in Prague’s Wenceslas Square on Jan. 30, according to rally organizers, demanding the authorities to listen to citizens’ calls.

“The state should listen to the people’s demands. The arrangements and restrictions lead us on the road to hell,” said Zuzana Vozabova, who banged a drum through the protest.

In footage from the rally, a large crowd of protesters can be seen marching while waving flags and chanting slogans as they moved towards the popular square that has the busiest pedestrian traffic in the whole country.

The protesters mainly objected to harsher restrictions for the unvaccinated, including a ban on eating in restaurants—calling the government’s COVID-19 policy discrimination of those who choose not to get vaccinated against the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) virus, which causes the disease COVID-19.

People wanting to dine in Czech restaurants are currently required to present a vaccination passport or a recent negative test. The same rules apply to many other indoor venues in the country such as museums and nightclubs.

According to health authorities, the country of 10.7 million reported its highest daily tally of CCP virus cases on Jan. 26—54,689, while the numbers on other recent days have ranked among the highest since the start of the epidemic about two years ago.

Despite an increase in cases, the government scrapped a decree last week making COVID-19 vaccinations mandatory for key professionals and over-60s to avoid “deepening fissures” in society.

The coalition of Prime Minister Petr Fiala has also shortened quarantine and isolation times as it braced for the Omicron variant, while launching mandatory testing of employees at companies.

Hospitalizations stood at 1,989 as of Jan. 29, far below the numbers of around 7,000 reported during the previous peak at the turn of last November and December.

The Czech Republic has reported 37,184 CCP virus deaths since the start of the pandemic, one of the world’s worst rates per capita.

In December, similar protests prompted by a government decree making COVID-19 shots mandatory for elderly people and employees in certain sectors erupted in the Czech capital. That day, about 4,000 people took to the streets in Prague after gathering on Wenceslas Square.

The January 27th statement – titled “Universal Coronavirus Vaccines — An Urgent Need” – argues in favor of a vaccine that could all animal coronaviruses capable of infecting humans.

“These sobering facts suggest that SARS-CoV-2 is unlikely to be eliminated, let alone eradicated; it will probably continue to circulate indefinitely in periodic outbreaks and endemics,” argue the authors as part of their rationale for dedicating resources to developing new coronavirus vaccines.

“The limitations of SARS-CoV-2 vaccines suggest that they will ultimately need to be replaced by second-generation vaccines that induce more broadly protective and more durable immunity,” they add.

To do so, the officials from NIAID, which funded bat coronavirus experiment at the Chinese Communist Party’s Wuhan Institute of Virology, call for an “international effort” to hunt down these viruses in wild and farmed animals.

This research approach is similar to studies carried out by Peter Daszak’s controversial nonprofit EcoHealth Alliance, which sought “killer” coronaviruses and appeared to manipulate them to increase lethality.

“To fully characterize the coronavirus ecosystem, a collaborative international effort should include extensive viral sampling of multiple bat species in multiple locales and of wild and farmed animals — including masked palm civet cats and raccoon dogs, which are frequently infected with coronaviruses — as well as viral and serologic study of humans involved in wildlife and farmed animal trades and those who are occupationally exposed to bats,” explain the National Institutes of Health officials.

Police Chief Gets No Jail, Allowed to Retire, Gets $72k in Benefits After Guilty Plea in Sex Assault Case

Marshfield, WI — In January of last year, Marshfield Police Chief Rick Gramza was arrested and charged with three counts of misconduct in office, disorderly conduct, and fourth-degree sexual assault against a department employee. However, instead of facing a jury of his peers for these accusations, Gramza received tens of thousands of dollars, months of paid vacation, and no jail time.

Last month, Gramza was given a sweetheart plea deal and all of the above charges were reduced to two disorderly conduct charges — on both of which he was immediately found guilty. After paying a measly $661 fine, Gramza will be free and clear.

According to reports, the former chief Gramza is accused of sexually assaulting a department employee on several occasions, as early as 2014 and as late as this past summer.

WSAW reports the Eau Claire detective sergeant investigating the case shared some specific instances the employee told him, including one in 2015, where she says she went into his office to talk about a promotion and then he sexually assaulted her.

“And made a statement similar to ‘this isn’t ever going to help you get a job,’ recalled Detective Sergeant Adam Taylor, from the Eau Claire Police Department.

The employee told Detective Sergeant Taylor she feared retaliation and when she reported concerns to human resources in 2015, that “it did not go well.”

After the accusations, originally surfaced, Gramza was placed on paid administrative leave in mid-August 2020, but continued to receive his salary and benefit package from the city, totaling just over $146,000. Now, he’ll be getting over $70,000 more, approaching nearly a quarter of a million dollars for roughly half a year — in which he never worked a single day.

Only a government employee could enjoy such benefits. Nowhere in the private sector would an alleged sexual predator be given a paid vacation for six months and allowed to retire with their full benefits.

A statement from city Administrator Steve Barg released after the charges were dropped and the money handed out, claimed that the city simply doesn’t want to deal with the officer anymore, so it’s best to just let him go to avoid any further conflict.

“The city recognizes that some may be disappointed the city is not pressing forth with the proceedings,” Barg said. “Under the terms of an agreement, the city is providing Chief Gramza with a separation benefit, which the city believes will avoid greater litigation costs that the city would incur and litigating the charges in front of the commission and from any post-hearing appeals. This is a difficult but thoughtful and pragmatic choice that protects those individuals involved in that proceeding and saves the city significant costs. The city can now focus on its remedial efforts to ensure all employees understand that misconduct discovered is unacceptable and has no place in the city.”

Alderperson Ken Bargender was only one of two people to come to their senses and vote no on giving this accused sexual predator such a sweet deal.

“Back in December of 2020, this council by unanimous vote authorized City Administrator Steve Barg to file formal charges against Chief Gramza. Now, three months later and only days before the PFC hearing to begin, this same council is considering a voluntary separation and settlement agreement with Gramza. I believe due to the serious nature of the charges it is not in our best interest as a city to consider any time of settlement agreement before going through the hearing process. Furthermore, I don’t support any type of settlement agreement that would include additional taxpayers’ dollars,” Bargender said.

Belt and Road Biden: How Hunter Helped China’s Hegemonic Scheme to Overtake the U.S.

The business relationships between President Joe Biden’s son Hunter and Chinese Communist Party elites are explored in Peter Schweizer’s new book Red-Handed: How American Elites Get Rich Helping China Win. Some of Hunter’s Chinese deals were helpful to the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), China’s colonialist scheme for buying influence across the Third World and luring poor nations into taking loans from Chinese banks they can never repay.

BRI first appears early in Red-Handed with Hunter Biden’s effort to use Chinese money to buy the national railroad of Greece. Hunter’s partner in this endeavor was the China Open Shipping Corporation (COSCO), a firm owned by the Communist government and closely linked to the People’s Liberation Army (PLA).

China hoped to push BRI’s influence into the heart of Europe and develop a network of ports, picturesquely described as a “string of pearls,” that could be used by the PLA to challenge American naval power in the Atlantic. Through COSCO, the Chinese government offered Hunter an incredible sweetheart deal because it wanted to take advantage of his personal connections in Greece.

Fortunately for the free world, Hunter and his Chinese partners were outbid by the Italian national railroad company, but Belt and Road is still tirelessly hunting for ways to penetrate Europe more deeply. In 2021, the European Union belatedly began pushing back with its own infrastructure program, “Global Gateway.”

Hunter’s most notorious link to BRI – notorious, that is, for everyone except the mainstream media reporters who adamantly refuse to investigate any of this stuff – was through CEFC China Energy, a conglomerate headed by the once-famous but now-vanished young tycoon Ye Jianming.

The documents discovered on Hunter’s laptop – a story major media outlets and social media companies worked furiously to suppress during the 2020 election — included information linking Biden’s son to the CEFC conglomerate, including the email that said ten percent of one CEFC venture would be “held by H for the big guy,” most likely a reference to Joe Biden himself.

CEFC threw millions of dollars at Hunter, despite his lack of relevant skills or experience for the positions he nominally held in the company’s endeavors. This created friction with professional money manager Tony Bobulinski, who would eventually become a whistleblower — only to be disappeared by Biden-friendly U.S. media outlets almost as thoroughly as the Chinese Communist Party made Ye Jianming disappear.

Pope Francis: Taxation Is an Important Tool for ‘Wealth Redistribution’

ROME — Pope Francis met with a delegation from Italy’s internal revenue service Monday, praising them for their work and holding up taxation as a necessary tool for redistribution.

Modern tax collectors are often looked upon with suspicion just as they were in the times of Jesus, the pontiff said, but they provide an essential service to the common good by redistributing wealth.

“A certain culture of suspicion can unfortunately extend to those who enforce the laws,” Francis said. “Yet this is a fundamental task, because legality protects everyone and is a guarantee of equality.”

“Laws make it possible to maintain a principle of fairness where the logic of interests generates inequalities,” he added. “Legality in the fiscal area is a way to balance social relations, removing forces from corruption, injustice, and inequality.”

“But this requires some education and cultural change,” the pope continued. “As is often said, people often see the tax system as a ‘reaching its hands into their pockets.’”

In reality, he declared, “taxation is a sign of legality and justice. It must promote the redistribution of wealth, protecting the dignity of the poor and the least, who always risk being crushed by the powerful.”

“Taxation, when it is right, is a function of the common good,” he asserted. “Let us work to increase the culture of the common good, so that the universal destination of goods is taken seriously.”

Financial Elites Plotting a ‘Great Reset’ to Destroy Personal Wealth

As the world’s economy emerges from the crisis caused by the pandemic, global elites have pushed for a “Great Reset.” Brownstone Research founder Jeff Brown spoke with Breitbart News Editor-in-Chief Alex Marlow about the implications of this globalist vision for ordinary investors and how Brownstone Research’s personalized “Great Reset Protection Plan” provides all the tools investors need to protect themselves against these destructive market forces.

Though the pandemic has pushed talk of the Great Reset into broader political discourse, Brown explained that the idea is much older. Brown framed the Great Reset as part of the trend of “woke capitalism,” which he described as “the corporate version of virtue signaling.”

He explained that we can see the Great Reset in action in the corporate world’s embrace of ESG investing, which stands for “Environmental, Social, and Governance.”

“ESG is one the largest themes in the corporate world right now, as companies try to rebrand themselves,” he said. “And it’s all about money and perception in the sense that even large institutional funds on Wall Street are trying to reposition themselves as being good, raising trillions of dollars of funds only to be invested in ESG approved companies. And, of course, companies are excited to rebrand themselves so that they have access to that kind of capital and those types of investors.”

“From my perspective, a very perverse loop is happening right now that is actually feeding into what those behind the Great Reset are trying to accomplish,” Brown added.

“What is their goal? What is the objective for some of these global elites?” Marlow asked.
