"Massive Tragedy" - Brazilian Dams Break, Ten More At Risk Of Collapse Amid Heavy Rain

Update (Monday 1310ET): Two dams collapsed in the northeastern Brazilian state of Bahia over the weekend after weeks of heavy rain.

On Saturday night, the Igua dam on the Verruga river near Vitoria da Conquista in southern Bahia collapsed. The second dam broke about 62 miles to the north on Sunday morning.

The floods have affected 40 cities throughout Bahia, Gov. Rui Costa said. He said at least 35,000 people had been displaced from their homes.

"This is a massive tragedy. I can't remember seeing anything like this in Bahia's recent history, given the amount of cities and houses involved. It's truly terrifying, there are so many houses and streets that are completely underwater," Costa said.

As of Sunday, authorities declared a state of emergency in 72 cities, with floodwaters in certain parts of the state reaching as high as 30 feet.

Local newspaper O Globo reported that state officials closely monitor ten more dams at risk for collapse.

Ventura County nurses from differ­ent sectors and specialties are coming forward to blow the whistle on what they deem serious lapses in local health care practices, mostly related to COVID-re­lated protocols, “vaccine” mandates and politically and financially motivated bul­lying of medical staff, which these health care workers say is seriously compromis­ing the general quality of local care.

The Guardian spoke with multiple nurses of various ages and at different stages in their careers, all of whom work in medical care settings or hospitals in Ven­tura County. Each described seriously declining standards of care, at­mospheres of intimidation and fear in hospitals, and distrust and disillusionment among medical professionals.

“Before COVID, nurses, staff and the community were confident in treatment modalities and in doctors’ competencies,” says one nurse. But now, “People are con­fused.”

Report: More than 150 people in one Texas county have been killed by suspects released on bond

Suspects released on bond pending trial have killed 155 people in Harris County, Texas, according to data gathered by Crime Stoppers of Houston.

KRIV-TV reporter Greg Googan publicized the shocking data during a panel segment titled, "What's Your Point?" that aired Monday.

In addition, he shared that "in Harris County, no fewer than 113 defendants charged with capital murder have been inexplicably granted bond and released back onto our streets pending trial."

"We are talking about capital murder — the most egregious offense in the criminal code — a conviction for which carries either life imprisonment or the death penalty," Googan noted.

"In all, more than 50,000 accused felons have benefited from the catch-and-release philosophy of criminal justice perpetrated by the current crop of Democratic reform judges," he added.

During the segment, Houston attorney Charles Adams argued that the troubling new bond policies were an overreaction to past stringent bond policies that often resulted in nonviolent offenders sitting in jail for excessive periods of time as their trial dates loomed.

But now, he argued, the pendulum has swung too far in the other direction, as Democratic judges advance bail reform with no regard to the safety of the community and are "making decisions that sound better to movements as opposed to citizens."

The revelation from Harris County comes as progressive jurisdictions around the country enact low cash bail or zero-bail measures in an effort to provide justice for the accused. The policies have, in turn, endangered communities.

Just last month in Waukesha, Wisconsin, an accused criminal released on bond reportedly went on to drive his vehicle into a crowd of people gathered for a Christmas parade, killing five and injuring at least 40 more. The district attorney later acknowledged that the suspect, Darrell Brooks Jr., had been released on "inappropriately low" bail.

The problem has been particularly pronounced in Harris County, especially since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, when judges began approving extremely low bonds to reduce the prison population. But even as the pandemic waned, the practice continued, alongside soaring crime.

Former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo claimed during a Fox News interview on Sunday that Chinese president Xi Jinping is “holding over a million Americans in concentration camps.”

During an appearance on Fox’s Sunday Morning Futures, Pompeo said, “No, I would have recommended to the President were I Secretary of State today that we not send our athletes into this terribly difficult place, where they’re gonna be forced to be silent, to not speak as Americans.”

“Or Xi Jinping will be put on stage or lauded as a great leader while he’s holding over a million Americans in concentration camps,” Pompeo continued.

“I don’t think we should be participating, i don’t think the IOC, the Olympic Committee should have allowed Xi jinping to host these games,” Pompeo said of the planned 2022 Olympics in Beijing.

Viewers were quick to pick up on the strange and clearly untrue allegation.

Some defenders of Pompeo posited that the former CIA and State Departments official had confused “Americans” with “Uyghurs,” though they did not explain how someone could have made the phonetic misstep between two dissimilar words.

A poll taken in 2021 found that Pompeo received 1% of Republican support in a field of potential 2024 presidential candidates, as previously reported by National File.

Voters were asked “Thinking ahead, if the 2024 Republican Primary for President in your state were held today among the following candidates, for whom would you vote,” and were given a total of 19 choices including “Other.”

President Trump won with 70% of the vote. DeSantis came in a distant second with a mere 21% of the vote. Six more candidates tied at 1%, including Sen. Cuba Signs ‘Belt and Road’ Agreement With China

Cuba and China have signed a cooperation plan to push forward construction projects under Beijing’s controversial overseas infrastructure program, the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), which has saddled many participating countries with heavy debt loads.

The Chinese Embassy in Cuba announced the agreement on its website on Dec. 26, saying that the deal was inked two days earlier by He Lifeng, the head of China’s top economic planning agency, the National Development and Reform Commission, and Cuban Vice Prime Minister Ricardo Cabrisas.

The agreement implemented a memorandum of understanding the two nations signed in 2018, when Cuba agreed to become a BRI participating nation.

Under the agreement, the two nations aimed to work together on projects in several key sectors, including communications, education, health and biotechnology, science and technology, and tourism, according to the Agencia Cubana de Noticias (ACN) news agency,

The Chinese embassy also stated a timetable and a roadmap had been proposed to implement the projects, without elaborating more details.

China launched BRI in 2013 in an effort to build Beijing-centered land and maritime trade networks by financing infrastructure projects throughout Southeast Asia, Africa, Europe, and Latin America. In recent years, critics have slammed Beijing for using “debt-trap diplomacy” to lure countries into its initiative.

Many countries have surrendered a piece of their sovereignty after failing to pay off Chinese debts. For example, China Merchants Port Holdings is now running Sri Lanka’s Hambantota port on a 99-year lease, after the South Asian country converted its owed loans of $1.4 billion into equity in 2017. Seizing the port has allowed Beijing to gain a key foothold in the Indian Ocean.

The Chinese regime has also sought to partner with countries rich in natural resources—such as African BRI participants Ghana and Zambia—in order to gain access to these raw materials to drive the Chinese economy.

It appeared that China has its eyes set on Cuba’s natural resources, as a Chinese researcher told China’s state-run media outlet Global Times on Sunday that the BRI agreement was good because China and Cuba “have strong economic complementarity.”

China Develops A.I. ‘Prosecutor’ Capable of Evaluating Crimes and Filing Charges

Chinese scientists have developed an artificial intelligence (A.I.) system that can examine “evidence” and charge people with “crimes,” as defined by China’s totalitarian parody of a Western justice system.

The developers claim the A.I. prosecutor is over 97 percent accurate when it files charges.

The South China Morning Post (SCMP) on Sunday reported the system was “built and tested by the Shanghai Pudong People’s Procuratorate, the country’s largest and busiest district prosecution office.”

The project was managed by the “big data and knowledge management laboratory” at the Chinese Academy of Sciences, which predicted the robo-prosecutor would reduce the workload of human prosecutors by handling routine cases, allowing them to “focus on more difficult tasks.”

Chinese prosecutors already employ a data processing tool called “System 206” that helps them “evaluate the strength of evidence, conditions for an arrest and how dangerous a suspect is considered to be to the public,” SCMP noted.

According to Chinese Academy of Sciences development team leader Shi Yong, the new A.I. system can go a step further by making decisions based on its data and filing charges automatically, without human intervention:

The AI prosecutor developed by Shi’s team could run on a desktop computer. For each suspect, it would press a charge based on 1,000 “traits” obtained from the human-generated case description text, most of which are too small or abstract to make sense to humans. System 206 would then assess the evidence.

The machine was “trained” using more than 17,000 cases from 2015 to 2020. So far, it can identify and press charges for Shanghai’s eight most common crimes.

They are credit card fraud, running a gambling operation, dangerous driving, intentional injury, obstructing official duties, theft, fraud and “picking quarrels and provoking trouble” – a catch-all charge often used to stifle dissent.

It does not exactly take state-of-the-art processing power to charge hapless Chinese dissidents with “picking quarrels and provoking trouble,” a “crime” that requires very little in the way of evidence and almost nothing that would be recognized as due process by citizens of the free world. It is not difficult to see how an A.I. system could go overboard charging political dissidents with “obstructing official duties.”

The robo-prosecutor seems like the next logical step in China’s tyrannical “social credit system,” already capable of detecting dissident behavior and punishing citizens in various ways with minimal human oversight.

Conservatives Inundate Loudoun County Schools with Over 500 FOIA Requests

Conservatives seeking information about a Loudoun County Public Schools (LCPS) alleged sexual assault coverup, among other things, have flooded the school division with over 500 Virginia Freedom of Information Act (VFOIA) requests, according to Loudoun Now.

From 2012 to 2018, the outlet said, the average yearly number of VFOIA requests was about 90.

Approximately 40 percent of the requests — made by “a half-dozen individuals” — have been filed by members or allies of Fight for Schools, a Loudoun-based education advocacy organization which has been behind several efforts to recall school board members.

Loudoun County schools have been a hotbed of political activity this year, as parents realized the district was teaching the tenets of the race-essentialist indoctrination scheme called critical race theory and appears to have covered up at least two instances of sexual assault in an effort to pass a sweeping transgender policy allowing males to use female bathrooms and play against females in sports.

The alleged sexual assault coverup resulted in the resignation of one school board member and an apology from Superintendent Scott Ziegler, saying, “I am sorry that we failed to provide the safe, welcoming, and affirming environment that we aspire to provide.”

According to LCPS Public Information Officer Wayde Byard, the district has had to double the number of officials who process VFOIA requests and “has begun billing VFIOA requesters because it cannot handle the current volume free of charge.”

One VFOIA requester was billed more than $36,000. Loudoun County mother Michelle Mege had “asked for ‘all communications, including press releases, statements, emails, or other correspondence in any format within the LCPS possession’ that use the words ‘sexual assault’ or ‘rape’ between May 1 and Oct. 18, 2021.”

Byard explained his calculation at the time, saying that there were over 100,000 “potential documents” at an hourly retrieval rate of $72.15, but that the real cost came from the 500 estimated hours it would take to review all the documents for potential redactions, among other things.

Most of the information we receive today does not come to us directly from the natural world. It still comes via the optic nerve to the brain, but the source is digital media displayed on a monitor or device screen.

Less that 10% of the average person's daily information input is direct sense experience of the natural world. What we imagine we know about the greater, outside world, our fellow humans and the universe is *all* acquired from TV "news" or "entertainment" programming - TV, movies, games VR and MR are how we form our understanding of greater surrounding social, economic and political reality.

We are entirely dependent on the *integrity* of MSM/legacy media for our understanding of the reality we share, and legacy media has betrayed us, engaging in massive deception and running 'psyops,' or 'Information Operations,' stories which use information in ways engineered to divide, confuse and terrify us.

Over 90% of all the information we take in about the world, about our reality, our fellow citizens, friends and neighbors, comes to us through a legacy media or big tech driven SCREEN.

*The average American family spends more money each month on media consumption than on groceries or electricity.

*The average American consumes 12-15 aggregate hours of digital media per day.

*The average American child consumes more than 10 hours of digital media per day.

*The average American smartphone is checked every 6-12 waking minutes.

With the emergence nonlinear networked communication it became possible to control individual and group information environments at all levels. Modern technologies have made "kinetic war" obsolete.

Information warfare destroys people and countries from within. By controlling the minds of citizens, by exploiting conditioned response with prepared information packages targeted individuals or nations can be (and have been) brought to take ANY specified action (including 'genocide') voluntarily.

Non-linear or Information war tactics involve turning enemy nations against themselves by infiltrating and subverting moral values and gradually degrading the whole information infrastructure, from popular entertainment to text books. Occult materials (eg. Catcher in the Rye) are introduced into high school required reading lists. False history and false flags arelegitimized, self-destructive behaviors are promoted as fashionable, mental illnesses and perversions like pedophilia are normalized by stages, while subversive 'educational' programs like "common core" are promoted to turn kids off learning.

Cultist media gradually, over decades, reduces the public vocabulary, promotes social division, emphasizing inequities, fanning the flames of old grievances, using false flag terrorism to foster or rekindle resentments, falsifying historical records to provide evidence for a shameful cult created US history that never happened. Destroying the story of a nation destroys that nation; the nation falls apart.

Mind war, non linear war, is a highly developed form of conflict, with tested doctrines and a protean tactical repertoire. We don't hear about IO, mind war and it's power and tactics because our entire information distribution infrastructure; the entertainment industry and social media/ tech companies are all controlled by a subversive confederacy of deep state criminals.

It is well to remember we have ALL been deceived. Some may learn sooner, some learn later; but whenever you do, remember fellow citizens still trapped in the matrix of lies and fears and taboos created by sophisticated IO operators for purposes of social control.

Haredi author Haim Walder, accused of serial sexual abuse, dies in apparent suicide

Celebrated children’s writer found dead of gunshot wound by his son’s grave in Petah Tikva cemetery, a day after fresh accusations came to light

Chaim Walder, the popular ultra-Orthodox children’s author who was accused of sexually abusing women and children, was found dead in a Petah Tikva cemetery on Monday.

Police said a man was found in the cemetery just before 1 p.m. with a gunshot wound. A passerby heard the shot and alerted authorities.

According to initial reports, Walder died by suicide and was found next to the grave of his son, who died several years ago of cancer. He had previously threatened to take his life over the revelation of accusations against him.

The author of 80 books, Walder, 53, had reportedly left his house early Monday after having holed up there for days, and his family had raised the alarm, concerned for his safety.

He was accused last month by three women who said he had sexually abused them when they were 12, 15, and 20, respectively. The accusations were published in the Haaretz newspaper and in their wake, several other women in the ultra-Orthodox community shared similar stories about Walder on social media.
